We listened to part of the SOTU speech on the radio (the recommended way to listen to these politicos and hear the real essence of what they're saying, instead of being distracted by all the orchestrating nonsense on television), and we were APPALLED: Mr. O. sounded JUST LIKE MO sounded–desperate and dodgey, pleading and bull****ing–in her presentation to the Olympics Committee a while back. (It is was embarrassing and painful to witness both performances.) America needs to WAKE UP and DITCH these poseurs and elect some REAL LEADERS with REAL ANSWERS to our very REAL problems.

Well, considering the bottom 50% of wage earners pay less than 5% of taxes collected, and the bottom 40% pay none at all yet use the lion's share of entitlements and benefits, and the top 1% ( the job creators and investors) pays almost 40%, the fact that they get some of it back doesn't bother me a bit. I remember a time in this country when trying to get rich was a good thing that a lot of people aspired to, not an evil thing deserving of scorn.
The fairest thing would be for everyone to pay the same percentage- you make 10k, you pay a grand. You make a million, you pay 100k. That way, everyone has skin in the game. But then that would take the power to punish and reward away from government, and we couldn't have that, could we?
