Defections Shake Up Climate Coalition

WSJ: Three big companies quit an influential lobbying group that had focused on shaping climate-change legislation, in the latest sign that support for an ambitious bill is melting away. Oil giants BP PLC and ConocoPhillips and heavy-equipment maker Caterpillar Inc. said Tuesday they won't renew their membership in the three-year-old U.S. Climate Action Partnership, a broad business-environmental coalition that had been instrumental in building support in Washington for capping emissions of greenhouse gases.

America…these individuals that supported the fraud of ‘global warming’…including the former VP traitor Gore…need to go to prison for treason against humanity!

Everyone of them conjured this up to defraud citizens and governments worldwide.

And I would not be surprised to find that the Bilderberg Society is behind this to…again…use this ‘man made crisis’ as another jumping off point to usher in the “New World Order”!

Al Gore should go to prison. He misled, he benefited financially off of this fraud…and it showed him for the worm that he really is…and that we are, fortunately, that he never, ever got into the Oval office…because he is a “loon”!

Global Warming is now a proven fraud and those pushing it need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for crimes against humanity. People have suffered and died as a result of this 20 year fraud.

These guys should not only pull out, they need to drill here, drill now and do “all of the above” to turn the global economy around. The eco-terrorists need to stop being coddled by Obama, and get out of the way and be sued into oblivian.

I am surprised that many manufactures who either fell for the hoax or used it for $$$$ are still hyping their products as “green” and to “reduce global warming.”
I have recently seen auto ads and other ads for electronic devices etc. still hyping away about how they will reduce global warming.
It seems that they are hurting themselves on several counts – they are unaware of the hoax and/or they are unwilling to change their ads because of embarrassment or because they still work on the idiots who are watching TV and have no idea it’s a hoax.

Whenever I see one of these ads now, I laugh, but will never take the manufacturer seriously again.
Like Obama, they have their heads in the sand about the Great global warming hoax and they have billions invested in the hoax. Just consider GE – with direct ties to Obama. The “General” electric has been been caught with his pants down but continues to bloviate about how wonderful their “green” products are.
Will there be a massive recall for the poisonous mercury-filled Curly-Q bulbs now that we know that they are a joke and do nothing?
Will AlGore give back all his ill-gotten booty?
History will show that these promoters of global warmongering were either hoaxers themselves or worse, liars and cheats. As we often hear, there is nothing like a good panic to get things done that could not be done legally or normally.

anyone trying to profit from the global warming fraud should be prosecuted.

John   February 18th, 2010 - 11:47 am

They have been exposed for the frauds they are. It’s laughable that they are still trying to shove this down our throats. We need to tar & feather these charlatans and run them out of town. We also need to return all of the monies to those who have contributed under false pretenses. Then try and convict Algore et al for a fraud that makes Madoffs scandal look like chump change.

WHERES THE DRIVE BY MEDIA, STATE RUNNED MEDIA AT ON THIS ONE ?

DJ   February 18th, 2010 - 12:08 pm

These companies are playing a PR game…

They see that people aren’t falling for this fraud anymore.

It’s all a scam. C02 is not a poison… they are just trying to scare people.

CyniKal   February 18th, 2010 - 12:27 pm

These companies left after finding out the organization was going to change their name from U.S. Climate Action Partnership (US CAP)to…

…U.S. Climate Reactionary Action Partnership (US CRAP).

Sundowner   February 18th, 2010 - 12:53 pm

Companies like these were intimidated into joining this fraud for the sole reason of being able to possibly direct future events such as legislation. Now that the jig is up and it’s clear there’s definitely no proof that man-made global warming exists, they feel safe enough to drop out. Yet you have idiots on this board try and say the science is settled which sounds an awful lot like the old days when the “earth was flat”.

Add in the major payers admitting to lying about peer reviewed data, getting information from homework and using it as “evidence”, taking a rock climber’s word the himalayan glaciers will be melting by 2035 and emails talking about hiding the decline, conveniently losing the original data so no one has anything to compare their results to and finally admitting there has been no global warming to speak of over the last 15 years….this is just the tip of the iceberg that they’d have you believe is melting away due to evil humanity.

I won’t even get into taking only the warmest climate data to use, the hockey stick graph that turns out to be totally fraudulent and the unwillingness to share any information via the freedom of information act. These morons need to see jailtime if anything. This sure isn’t the way science has worked in the past and locking them all up for 10 to 20 might be the fastest way to get back to an honorable path.

Kudos to these corporations whatever their motives are. I can hear Gore and Obama shuddering now!

The death of cap and trade -we hope! Are these companies FINALLY exercising an Ayn Randian rebellion against the global government? One can hope.

Sue   February 18th, 2010 - 3:04 pm

And the UN Climate Chief resigns. I guess the heat from “global warming” finally got to him. Death to both Global Warming and to Cap and Tax rip-offs of taxpayer hard-earned dollars.

Joe American   February 18th, 2010 - 3:06 pm

Hello Fellow Amercians: Great to see these three companies coming clean. Who would of thought? It would be better if our government would come clean too, instead of trying to keep this fraud going. Even Gore should set the records straight, or at least he should start setting an example on energy conservation. We still need to limit our energy use, for if we do, we can all help the prices come down and keep our environment cleaner. It would also be great to explore and invest in other alternate energy sources. Who knows, maybe a total different renewable source can be found and developed. God bless our Troops, God bless America. Joe American 1776

GOOD! The cat is out of the bag now and AlGore and his accomplices can all go and BURN IN HELL! How ironic!

Eddie   February 18th, 2010 - 3:29 pm

Good post “Joe American’. We certainly can help out on energy conservation but we do NOT need the government taking us by the hand and shoving how-to’s down out throats. The old phrase, “We’re the government and we’re here to help” brings my response of “I’m a fairly educated American and I do NOT need your help. You’ve done enough already!”.

Al Gore is scheduling a 65 city rail tour. There will be no jets this time. He and his Nobel Peace Prize group are leasing large arenas and stadiums to warn the United States of the dangers of global warming and to promote his books. By the end of the summer he will have all of us convinced.

Oh, wait a minute, he just found out the data was false and he is canceling the events as we speak. It was just a hoax…… Somebody tell the press…..

Haha Another one bites the dust….this guy needed to go. This relates to what I was saying earlier in my post above…

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/feb/18/more-errors-in-temperature-data/

FTA: On Jan. 29, they released a startling study showing that starting in 1990, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) began systematically eliminating climate-measuring stations in cooler locations around the world. Eliminating stations that tended to record cooler temperatures drove up the average measured temperature. The stations eliminated were in higher latitudes and altitudes, inland areas away from the sea and more rural locations. The drop in the number of weather stations was dramatic, declining from more than 6,000 stations to fewer than 1,500.

Mr. D’Aleo and Mr. Watts provide some amazing graphs showing that the jumps in measured global temperature occurred just when the number of weather stations was cut. But there is another bias that this change to more urban stations also exacerbates. Recorded temperatures in more urban areas rise over time simply because more densely populated areas produce more heat. Combining the greater share of weather stations in more urban areas over time with this urban heat effect also tends to increase the rate that recorded temperatures tend to rise over time.

Forgot to include the last line or two, the best part…

As the frigid winter days pass and the scandals mount, it becomes clear that claims of man-made global warming aren’t based on scientific methods at all. The hysteria is based on fraud.

H2K   February 19th, 2010 - 1:49 pm

Lest we forget, although there were some poor economic fundamentals in 2006-2007, we did have low unemployment and those with money were investing in the economy. We had positive GDP growth.
After the elections of 2006 where the Dems got a majority of both house and senate, we also noticed that fuel costs were going through the roof. The Dems communicated loudly that energy use was overblown, that we were not going to find domestic sources of “real” energy, and after Oct 2007, the air started leaking from the bubble. Yes, we had Fannie/Freddie and the subprime mess which rippled through the banking industry.
My point is that cap n’trade will further restrict the use of energy, will increase prices, and economic recovery and growth will be affected. Plus on top of the dubious GW science and Climategate, we also know that energy was being used as a tool to reduce America’s economic power in the world.
I will buy BP products to support their withdrawal from the groups focused on the topic of cap n’ trade legislation.
