Well, Rachel, sounds like you and your friends should stay out of Uganda, at least until you’re healed.

calvin labash   December 9th, 2009 - 1:02 am

American Muslims also want to kill Gays and no one in America is upset with with this “religion of love”

WOW. Why does she have to lie so damn much? She said she wishes him luck or something like that and she doesnt mean it at all. I wonder if this female would be happy if her kid was gay. I doubt it.

testicular man   December 9th, 2009 - 1:15 am

Yes and idiots like this diesel dike still want the muslims to be tried in NYC, even though muslims would kill gays in an instant. you hear that Raquelita, you dope!

dwroberts   December 9th, 2009 - 1:15 am

Uganda is Uganda. It produced the absolutely satanic Idi Amin. It is a craphole. They don’t need Cohen’s book to murder homosexuals. It is unfortunate that they use his words to support their madness.

I only wish Madcow and her ilk would scrutinize and dissect the words and past of Comrade Obama and other left-wing radicals the way they have pilloried a man who dares speak out against the homosexual influence on young people who think it is just fine to experiment with homosexuality. This insidious indoctrination is underlined by the appalling facts now coming out about Obama’s homosexual “safe schools” czar.

Homosexuality, once scorned, is now championed by every one of the three main influencers of opinion: the education system, the news media and the entertainment industry. Heaven forbid that one lone voice should be allowed to say that all is not “gay” about the homosexual agenda.

Thor   December 9th, 2009 - 1:17 am

Nobody cares about Uganda and gays. If you Rachel, really give a damn, sign up with your gay brothers and sisters and take a hike to Uganda and fight the righteous fight. No, you won’t, didn’t think so. You’d rather shove this issue, which 95 % of America couldn’t care less about, down the throats of Americans.

Merlin   December 9th, 2009 - 1:26 am

Please go to Iran , and plead your case…..

Veritas   December 9th, 2009 - 1:27 am

Fonzie is a bit to much defensive for this interview. It is a fact that that homosexual activity is not natural. I am not a doctor, but I am a thinking human! If the sexual act was created to continue our species, homosexuality would be an error message! It is not productive on any level except as posibly a physical one! That means it is non-productive and While I don’t see it as a reason for a death penalty, I do think it should be looked at in the same manner as a person that seeks to build a building out of sugar. Sure it is sweet and satisfying to the person building it, but it will not support anything!

113Tidbits   December 9th, 2009 - 1:37 am

She really looks very uncomfortable..lol

BJC   December 9th, 2009 - 1:52 am

Calvin you forgot to mention to Rachael she needs to check on these death threats from her own country, as a matter of fact Rachael next time you’re at the White House you may want to mention it to Obama since it happened under his nose….who you going to blame here…
Back on September 25th, a few thousand Muslims gathered on Capitol Hill, a number well short of the 50,000 the event planners were shooting for and hoping for……………………………………………………………………….
In one case, the discussion centered around whether or not homosexuals should be put to death under shariah law. Care to guess what the Muslim’s position was?……….“Homosexuals must be killed…”

Nimadan   December 9th, 2009 - 2:11 am

I used to care (or at least TRY to care) about things like this. I used to try to walk the line, split the difference, between Liberal Humanism and being an American. I used to… but I don’t bother anymore.

WHY? Because these people are just too self-destructive to be helped, because they’re too fanatical to be reasoned with, and most of all because they’re just too hateful to be tolerated. If you’re a traditional White Christian American Male (or just any of these), liberals are out to get you. They want you to stumble, want you to fail, hell they want you to be hurt in every way you can be hurt.

Moonbats like Maddow may be too delicate to do anything aggressive in person, but they are constantly using their institutional power against us. Who do you think is responsible for suppressing the Truth about the massive number of anti-White hate crimes in this society for the past 50 years? Ask media girl about it….

Annie   December 9th, 2009 - 2:16 am

He seems to have really struck a nerve in her…. Wonder why…

BJC   December 9th, 2009 - 2:22 am

Why in the hell did you remove my post Breitbart? I’ve been posting for years on here and have never posted anything wrong. Is Anita Dunn working for you now?

BJC   December 9th, 2009 - 2:24 am

Who you going to blame for this Rachael? Next time you’re at the White House for a visit you might want to ask about it. It did hapen right under your President’s nose….in his front yard as a matter of fact.

He’s a fraud. Anyone watch Penn & Teller: Bullshit!? He was on there and the dude he sent to speak was on the show as well.
I would suggest people look for it and check it out because this guy is the biggest moron you’ve ever seen.

txmike   December 9th, 2009 - 2:50 am

The sole purpose of this interview was so that Mr Maddow could spew his personal hate against the guy being interviewed under the guise of Ugandans are so evil. Wow even if Mr Maddow was falsely promised the ability to have opposite sex attraction and that failed miserably how very petty of him to take it out on someone completely unresponsible for Mr Maddow’s overall state of uncontrolled bitterness and hate. Reminds me of bitter Nojoy Haggard (aka Joy Bahar)

ByteRider   December 9th, 2009 - 3:03 am

I support Uganda and hope that we can bring these laws to America.

Eric   December 9th, 2009 - 3:18 am

Wow, I have never watched her show, but Rachel ignores guests, makes stuff up, and attempts to start wars to suit her own ideologies and boost her ratings. While I may or may not agree with some points from her guest (I would have to read the book), I applaud him for not giving in to her war of words and anger.

Bill   December 9th, 2009 - 3:22 am

Losing your argument so you just had to use the race card didn’t you. Standard play.

Jack Ryder   December 9th, 2009 - 4:08 am

Mr. Madcow does not like “phony science” being used to promulgate change among gays that want to become normal but she is ok with the real phony science being manufactured and advanced by the Global Warming Liars… how convenient.

Very delightful when she sputtered after quoting a selected few lines from his book and he then debunked her by making her read the very next line !

Muslims are defended and excused and great effort is made by people like Mr. Madcow on the Marxist/Left Democrat side to advance their hatred against America. The stooges like Madcow have a strong common bond with radical Muslims, they view themselves as victims of an America that disagrees with them and does not want to deal with their mental disorders and sick compulsions.

Muslims enjoy free reign to KILL gay people like… MR. MADCOW !!! And they do it at will, with great pleasure, with viscous anger and no provocation other then the mere presence of a gay person in their path.

I would love to see some “Republicans” come out and call for bipartisan efforts to accept and embrace radical Muslims. Lets find some common ground, the D/M/L can laud their hatred of freedom, Christians, and America in general and the Rep/Con can laud their desire to kill and persecute gays… Hey, lets be like the Senate and House, lets put aside our differences and agree on the basics… Muslims are O.K. !!! Muslims and Democrat/Marxists allied together can help get school vouchers for the Madrassa’s, can help get Muslime prayer rooms and breaks in every school so they can pray to Mecca, lets get a teaching guide that promotes tolerance and understanding of Muslim kids that believe gays should be executed… and Jews too !! C’mon Mr, Madcow, you lead the way !!!

iconoclastKM   December 9th, 2009 - 4:16 am

“Nobody cares about Uganda and gays”

NO THOR, YOU ARE WRONG. Many people care. How ignorant you are.

What a bunch of bigotry and hatred here. Really. If you are a caring intelligent person in the US there is no place for you anywhere. The Democrats are corrupt to the core and ignore the wishes of their constituents. The Republicans turn their backs on the poor and disadvantaged and are misogynists.

Every other civilized nation has no problem with gays, but here ppl are aligning themselves with…UGANDA??

How shameful that Maddow is being attacked here when she is pointing out how this man’s “theory” is being used to justify murder.

Thor   December 9th, 2009 - 5:01 am

Like I said Annie. Nobody cares, even a nobody like Annie. Get a life. This is non-issue, but as I said, if you deeply believe init, take a one way trip to Uganda and be part of the solution. Rachel needs a mate.

NO UGANDA SAFE SCHOOL CZAR FISTING SEMINARS, EH?   December 9th, 2009 - 5:43 am

Well, at least Ugandan parents never have to worry about FISTING seminars being foisted on their young’uns by SAFE SCHOOL CZARS, now, do they? (Unlike the parents in America!, thanks to the new & improved “fundamental change” going on in our beloved country.)

PS America, please, WAKE UP!

claspur   December 9th, 2009 - 5:58 am

This is funny. Liberals side with our enemies on everything, except Madcow here, on this issue.(wonder why that would be? /sarc)

I wonder how she feels about Muslims practicing female genital mutilation, mandatory wearing of the Burka…..etc..
Bet she wouldn’t be as fervent in the cause to get this type BS stopped.

Read “United in Hate” , by Jamie Glazov.

It explains how liberals side-up with our enemies even-at the cost of their own interests; except with this issue, as Madcow demonstrates here.

Sven   December 9th, 2009 - 7:25 am

Those Gays just want to shove their lifestyle down our good Christian throats.

Of course, by “shove” I mean “be left the hell alone and not have people/governments trying to execute them” and by “Christian” I mean the opposite of the whole love-your-neighbor message of Jesus.

And, yes, I agree. Rachel is clearly a lezbo. Why else would she be bothered by a government enacting a law to execute its own citizens? I mean, if *my* government started randomly executing my neighbors then, well, I wouldn’t say a word about it because, umm, I’m a small-government conservative who only wants a big, oppressive government against those homos.

And, did I mention that I can’t stand how those dirty liberals are always grouping people into artificial factions? I’m a conservative who sees a country of strong individuals. I mean, why can’t we all be non-hyphenated Americans? Well, except for those queers. They’re a group I can get behind identifying/targeting/hating. Everyone else though, no hyphens please.

And I’m not being sarcastic. Honest.

Matthew   December 9th, 2009 - 7:29 am

“Nobody cares about Uganda and gays”

NO THOR, YOU ARE WRONG. Many people care. How ignorant you are.

What a bunch of bigotry and hatred here.

These right wingers hate everybody but WASP.There is no such thing as a compassionate conservative.

stacy   December 9th, 2009 - 9:09 am

Didn’t watch the clip. I can’t listen to her “I’ve just swallowed a cat and I am slowly coughing it up now” way of speaking.

I can be tolerant of gays and people should be tolerant of gays.

I will even support a civil union to share assets. The english term “marriage” does not and can not apply to gays.

But asking me to not be REPELLED by gay people . . . sorry can’t do it. It is not only what they do to each other (ICK) but it is the way they live their lives. Gay men surrounded by more gay men — they act in an outrageous way to cover up the dirty little secret of their lives (shhhhh — they are BORING!) Gay women are filled with rage and seek to blame others for everything in their lives that is wrong and feel utterly incomplete.

The truth hurts.

shutit   December 9th, 2009 - 9:21 am

A law killing Ugandans for being gay is a terrible thing. Yes, being gay is a sin, just like lying, stealing, cheating on your wife, etc. etc. – its the same in Gods eyes, not in terms of earthly consequences, but in the fact it is going against what He has said, and we ALL have sinned, period. Being gay is not OK, just like all the other things are not OK by Gods standard, but we as people are supposed to love them anyway – its for God to judge a person, not us. Familiar with the verse that talks about taking the plank out of your own eye before helping your brother remove his?

anne can   December 9th, 2009 - 9:23 am

So I Say…Sadly there is such a thing as a compassionate conservative we finally got rid of him. We’ll leave the compassion for you guys who are so open minded that your brains have fallen out long ago.

nuke the gay baby whales for the FBI and Allah

Dr. Slice n' Dice   December 9th, 2009 - 9:55 am

I am opposed to killing gays. I think a much easier solution would be for them to come to my clinic and I can remove the offending organ and sew the offending orifice shut and do a colonoscopy. In every case this has solved the situation and satisfied the Muslim law and taken the gayness right out of the offender without resorting to killing them.

Veg O'Matic   December 9th, 2009 - 9:58 am

I like your approach, Dr. Slice N’ Dice. BUTT WAIT!! There’s more. I can take care of the problem in a similar way and if you buy right now, I’ll through in a second one for free! I can’t be doing this all day, so act now!!!

temple62   December 9th, 2009 - 10:03 am

No news here, most gays will be killing themselves through the introduction of this quirky little disease named aids. I am surprised that Madcow didn’t lay the blame for the “Kill Gay” philosophy on the Muslims, Nazis, Bush, Cheney, Hannity or Beck? Maybe a missed opportunity for her and Overthehillman.

RobbieK   December 9th, 2009 - 10:11 am

Diesel Dike Maddow, formerly of Air (Scare) America is dumber than a box of rocks. Nothing to gain here, move along.

M!lton FrIedman   December 9th, 2009 - 10:18 am

Mmmm, we have a problem. Yes, g@ys should not be persecuted for being g@y. I think the vast majority of us believe that. Uganda does it. So we have a couple of choices:
1) Ask the Uganda government nicely not to persecute g@ys. They won’t listen of course.
2) If they don’t comply, then send in the military and force them to comply.

But, liberals hate any sort of physical action – unless it is against a white person…typically male. So either the militaristic white males from the US will go in and “fix” things, or Uganda will continue with their policy. Also, Uganda is in the heart of “Mother Africa” – which if you ask any liberal, is a paradise. Plus it’s a mooslim country – which as any liberal knows is a very peaceful religion. It’s Christians that are “hateful”.

What to do, what to do? Rachel? Any answers?

John   December 9th, 2009 - 10:19 am

What is Mr. Maddow so upset about?

James K   December 9th, 2009 - 10:23 am

QUEER MADDCOW!!!

Jamison Hurst   December 9th, 2009 - 10:48 am

Well, I watched the whole interview (much more time than I’d ordinarily give Ms. Maddow). What sticks out to me is, twice she (you if you’re reading) mentions that she is offended (paraphrasing) that Mr. Cohen does not mention on the cover of his new book that it is a “cure” for homosexuality, and thus is in some way misrepresenting itself. Of course, Ms. Maddow herself makes no mention of her own homosexuality, and as such misrepresents herself in not showing the same transparency she demands. She clearly is rabidly pro-homosexual. and uses her soapbox as often as possible to further her agenda, all the while hiding behind the false cloak of “journalist”.

sunny black   December 9th, 2009 - 10:58 am

I think MSNBC and all their anchors should do an exhaustive and in-depth investigative report into this issue. I suggest they move from 30 Rock down to Uganda and not return until they’ve resolved it to their satisfaction. And if it takes YEARS, well then…I guess that’s the price they, ‘err we, will have to pay. Oh well. Go fight the good fight, Rachel! /sarc

(btw…I can’t believe she actually said, “I’m reading from your book, *dude*.” (Dude? Srsly?)

MagicMan   December 9th, 2009 - 11:20 am

Well, it’s like that celebrity video that came out after Obama was elected … you remember, the one Demi and Ashton produced? Where they ALL can now care about the world and pledge do things to make it a better place, like smiling more.

Now that Obama is the world leader the gays can FINALLY care about gays around the world being oppressed almost as bad as gays are oppressed here in the states (that no marriage thing is worse than death, you know). Oh, and all those gays hanged in Iran for years previous to Obama’s throning? Bush’s fault.

Commieobamie   December 9th, 2009 - 11:45 am

Sonny   December 9th, 2009 - 12:09 pm

Rachael was trying to make a big deal out of the fact that the person she was interviewing was not licensed. If a organization wishes to be accredited, it finds a state legislator willing to carry the ball (for a sizable campaign contribution, of course) and then it is declared a “certified” organization. Then, those on the board of directors of that organizatin decide what the requirements are going to be for getting a license. The people on the Board Rachael will approve are those who say homosexuality is not a choice, but is a “natural” condition. That way, she can justify her own homosexuality.

easye2984   December 9th, 2009 - 12:26 pm

Annie said, at 4:44,

“Every other civilized nation has no problem with gays, but here ppl are aligning themselves with…UGANDA??”

And just what condition is every one of these “tolerant” countries in?
They are all broke, worse then us, always have been, with no freedom except those that their muslim populace give them. This is a free country, no walls. You think those countries are so much better, GO THERE! Don’t bring their disgusting practices here, to destroy us and make us a third world, *uck a monkey country.
I guess the OBAMA/DEMOCRAT “fisting” lessons for 14 year olds is just fine for you.
It would be too late for a school supervisor to apologize after the fact for letting a child of mine have that shown to him…too late because I would be jailed for self-defense for killing the administrator for the harm to my child.
Americans need to rise up, unarmed, march to washington and their local school boards, and beat every elected and appointed official to death, tearing their bodies asunder, and painting the walls with thier vile remains as a warning to all that are elected to replace them. This is America, not some other country you admire so much. We are different, and better, because of our values, the values that made us the most powerful, popular country in the world, with the best health care in the world. The country that people die to get to, not out of. The country OBAMA hates.
Jefferson was right, has it been twenty years yet?

Cohen might not be gay anymore, but he still needs to grow a pair. I appreciate his attempts to present a loving, compassionate approach, but he continually surrendered the high ground to the invariably smug Maddow. He ought not to have recanted the realistic statistics he cited, nor should he have felt the need to accentuate “love” and “tolerance” to people of all sexual proclivities. Allowing an individual to wallow in the self-destructive, self-pitying envy mischaracterized as a homosexual “orientation” is most uncharitable, and giving them positions of authority over youth is just stupid. Ought they to be killed? Of course not. But the deeply false dichotomy of fools like Maddow presents death and supine acceptance as the only two positions.

Jaynie59   December 9th, 2009 - 1:34 pm

Through that whole interview I couldn’t help but think of Meredith Baxter.

Why is it that the gay rights crowd loves a straight middle aged convert to the gay life but can’t abide anyone who goes the other way?

The proof that gay rights is nothing but a sham is the way gays treat bisexuals. They absolutely cannot stand anybody who is proof their behavior is nothing more than a choice.

DDuke   December 10th, 2009 - 2:40 pm

This is really amazing because the dimocrats in America proclaim themselves to be the only true representatives of gay people in the US and yet they promote, protect, and accommodate Islam in every way possible who would murder every gay in the country given the chance if they have enough power.

Not exactly the religion of peace. Just a radical fundamentalist religion like so many others in the world that has brought bigotry, death, destruction, and misery on every continent on Earth.

Maurpd   December 10th, 2009 - 5:28 pm

Rachael you thought you could ‘Nail’ this man! But unfortunately because of your OWN BIAS and beliefs, you could not even ‘hear’ what Mr Maddow was saying!

Rachael you had already made your mind before the Interview, so you were totally unable to even believe there could be another side to this, thus you were guilty of presenting a one eyed, false and untrue picture on national TV, therefore seeking to vilify a person of Good intent. Disagreeing with someone is one thing but trying to ‘vilify’ and falsely accuse them is totally sick!

What Uganda does even using the book’s contents as justification for their horrible laws, DOES NOT in anyway implicate Mr Maddow, or his organization, but you have tried your hardest to smear, undermine and vilify, by using judgements and accusation in a public setting. Shame on such reporting!!

The current Psychological belief that no one can change from a homosexual orientation to heterosexual is simply FALSE and UNTRUE as many who have done just that will confirm. Will we now make it almost a criminal offense for a person to believe they can change and actually change??!?? Come on!! This is nothing more than the current sexual/political Correctness gone mad!

IF some people don’t want to change or believe they can that is there right, but why should they then try to prevent everyone else from doing so! Are they so afraid that there own position will somehow be undermined, so NO other view can be allowed??!? PLEASE DON”T DISCRIMINATE SO BLATANTLY AGAINST THOSE WHO HOLD A DIFFERENT VIEW THAN YOU!! You want tolerance, but you refuse to give it others!! Sorry but that is hypocrisy!!

Thanks for allowing Mr Maddow some time. But its a great pity you presented such a blatantly biased, untrue and unethical view point.

Maurpd   December 10th, 2009 - 5:39 pm

H’mm got the names mixed up in my post above. I did Not mean ‘Mr Maddow’ where I have stated that name, Rather I meant ‘Richard Cohen’! Sorry for the confusion.

Maddow obviously has a dog in this fight. There was malicious intent to malign this “Dude” from the start. She certainly didn’t have him on as an opportunity to set the record straight. This was a hit piece with gotch journalism filled with spite. If the tables were turned, it would be labeled a hate crime.

For her to state the he has blood on his hands due to what is beyond his control in another culture was beyond the pail. If that were a valid argument, then the next molestation or rape and death of a child is on her for unequivocally stating that the “Dude” was wrong and desires cannot be cured. Both are absurd, but her narrow minded denial of his valid and reasonable points are no excuse other than entertainment news for her like minded viewers!

Everyone else ought to be ashamed of their opposition on the issue, but her and her ilk? Offensive is in the eye of the beholder. It was a real test in patience watching this train wreck in motion! I thought he handled it with more grace than he was granted. For the most part, grace is non-existant from MSNBC’s hard left pundits anyways!

You know, the laws being considered in the Ugandan legislature are not laws for the killing of homosexuals “just for being ‘gay’”. They are considering the death penalty for any HIV positive homosexual who remains sexually active, thereby risking the infection of his “partner” and the further spread of AIDS. The other prospective candidate for the death penalty under this legislation would be a same sex rapist. Being a third world country they don’t have much else in the way of hi-tech, or even low-tech, options for controlling HIV. And of course, no country has the ability to control the perpetual, inevitable, out-of-control, compulsive hyper sexuality of its “gays.” So the Ugandans are *forced* into a position where it’s kind of “we kill them or they kill us.” Naturally, our very own home-grown homos don’t want you to know what the real issue is, so they come up with this, “killing ‘gays’ for being ‘gay’” bull.
