REBROADCAST: America’s Tea Party Live From Dallas

Houston Chronicle: Dallas Tea Party organizers said they have accepted no support from any political party and won't allow any elected official or anyone running for office to speak. Phillip Dennis says they plan to celebrate the "original Declaration of Independence signed in 1776" with a goal of getting like-minded middle-class taxpayers active in the political process.

i just watched the pbs documentary on mark twain last night and he despised politicians. that was in a time of relative moral controls in our country. now we have no morals and the pure evil in our offices need to go. carry signs, march, maybe even quit paying taxes if it becomes a movement or some similar protest. vote out all incumbents. as for me, if these fools stay in power on 2012 i am going galt and leaving for warmer climes.

Here’s my extensive summary of the “parties” and why they’re wrong:

Note: I’m obviously not an Obama supporter. I just oppose loony libertarians and stupidity in general.

Drano   July 4th, 2009 - 6:18 pm

The people who feel the most threatened by TEA parties activities are the liberal Democrats, or should I say Social Democrats, with the support of the CommunistPartyUSA, and most of the media who are doing the best they can to crush them and use any method they can to prevent their free speech being heard, namely that we are Taxed Enough Already.

24AheadDotCom probably falls into one of those categories. TEA parties are not wrong because they are the exercise of 1st Amendment free speech, something he and the above mentioned groups would love to crush out of existence. You are free to express your opinion too but don’t be offended if nobody cares to listen to it. It has already been expressed in the former Soviet Union, N Korea, China, Cuba, and every other commie country on the globe that can’t allow open dialog or criticism of government policy.

24AheadDotCom   July 4th, 2009 - 7:06 pm

Drano illustrates, once again, that most tea partiers are absolute idiots. It’s because of people like him that I put a note right at the top of my page linked in my previous comment pointing out that I’m not a BHO supporter and linking to, among others, a post about me going to one of his events in *February, 2007* in an attempt to ask him an embarrassing question.

And, while I’d prefer that people visit the other page, here’s all my BHO coverage, around 500 posts:

http://24ahead.com/s/barack-obama

The difference between me and tea partiers is that a) I’m not a loony libertarian, and b) I want to oppose BHO in smart and effective ways.

Nobody gives a sh*t about your posts or your dork blogs. You show yourself to be what I characterized you to be – a leftist who hates freedom of speech – indicated by your characterization of people who hold differing opinions than you as loons. Typical.

Laffing at Morons   July 4th, 2009 - 8:22 pm

@24AheadDotCom hey moron why don’t you go suck a .45 into the back of your skull?
Do America a favor, dumass…

copperpeony   July 4th, 2009 - 8:45 pm

To be effective in any campaign, you have to know what will work and what won’t work. Its alright to use your freedom od speech rights but what you say distinguishes you from people who only yell and don’t say anything relevant.

Drano, you got to have an open mind. Read what other people say and glean info that will best suit your purpose. 24DeadHead offers some alternative solutions and these combined with “tea parties” might actually work. First you have to READ the alternative solutions instead of reacting.

There’s many ways to skin a cat (as the saying goes) and if one way doesn’t work, then you have to try another way OR maybe many ways at the same time. You can’t just get belligerent and insulting because someone disagress with your thinking. Thats my humble opinion.

I personally would like to have 50 million people march on DC and tell obozo to leave town. Unfortunately that won’t work either unless we go back to the Revolution of this good country and shed a lot of blood.

copperpeony   July 4th, 2009 - 9:00 pm

To 24DeadHead: Not all protestors are loony libertarians. I for one am not.I have always voted Republican although now there are as many Rhinos in there as far left Liberals. This country is being hijacked by fascist-islamic communists backed by huge globalist money.

You must understand that people need a way to vent their anger about this administration and if holding signs and yelling and protesting is their way, you have to acknowledge that.

Your way is the intellectual way and I do agree with what you say. Oppose the LaRaza Sotomayer..oppose and question your local politician…create youtube vids of these and publicize them. Go to your Congressman’s office and ask direct questions with your vid in hand. Harrass the bejesus out of them. Yessssssssssss…..a good way but not for the mass population.

The masses like in Iran need to voice their anger in an organized mob sort of way. Unfortunately, all it gets is bloodshed and prison. Even the police are voicing their anger. Go to patdollard.com and read.

Annabelle   July 4th, 2009 - 10:24 pm

Great. Yet another smug elitist telling people what to think and how to act – ‘I’m smarter than you, just do like I tell you’ . You should read the constitution’s 1st amendment, copperpeony. Seems to be no shortage of those these days.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying! Conspiracy theory Paulites miss the fact that there ain’t no secret conspiracy–its all out in the open! And has been for decades!

Looks like a ton of fun, I would have loved to go. I imagine a lot of people who wanted to go locally couldn’t due to the 103 degree temps. I know it was close to 100 at my house yesterday, and I couldn’t have sat outside in a metal folding chair for 3-5 hrs. People gathering to support each other, and to discuss their feelings about government is an American thing. It is what we were supposed to be all about.Freedom.
