“Allah Akbar” or “Allhu Akbar” translated means “God is great”. I did not know what that meant before I looked it up, I doubt that this girl knew what that phrase meant either. It sounds like what it was, another Muslim extremist killing Americans, but this time wearing our own uniform.

While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, INCLUDING CHRISTIANS AND JEWS, in reference to “God”.

Both the Jewish and the Christian scriptures are collections of many books that were written down by a large number of human beings, and opinions differ as to their status as revelation. Even if we say that the books of the Bible were all revealed, they were revealed to different people who did not live at the same time or in the same place.
The Koran is divided into chapters of unequal length, each of which is called a sura, a word that means literally “a fence, enclosure, or any part of a structure.” The shortest of the suras has ten words, and the longest sura, which is placed second in the text, has 6,100 words. The first sura, the Fatihah (”The Opening”), is relatively short (twenty-five words). From the second sura onward, the suras gradually decrease in length, although is not a hard and fast rule. The last sixty suras take up about as much space as the second.
The Suras are divided into short passages, each of which is called an aya. Some of the longer ayas are much longer than the shortest suras. The word aya is often translated as “verse,” but literally it means “sign.” This is an extremely significant word, and we will discuss it in some detail.
The content of the Koran is reminiscent of parts of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. The Koran tells stories about many of the same persons and draws conclusions for its listeners’ edification. The Koran calls the great human examplars of the past prophets and mentions as the most important of these Adam, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Moses is mentioned by name more than any other person, followed by Pharaoh, his great enemy, who is the Koranic archetype of human evil.
The God of the universe is a triune being composed of 3 divine persons: Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit.
Never in the Bible does God ever call Himself by the name Allah.
God is called JEHOVAH, Eloihim, El Shadai, Adonai, Emmanuel, Jeshua….but never is HE referred to by the name of ALLAH

Jesus went so far as to claim to be God the Son, sent by the Father to save man. To bring salvation and hope. To bring the promise of eternal life. In Psalm 2, who is the Son?

Jesus came to save man, not murder him. Jesus doesn’t force anyone to convert. It’s a personal decision. You are free to make up your own mind about God, Jesus and Heaven. Know for a certainty that Jesus came to SAVE, to give life abundantly, and hope for eternity in a REAL heaven.

Jesus Teaches Nicodemus
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
“You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heavenâthe Son of Man. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

I think that There is no God but God was trying to say it that the issue here is one of language. If an Arab Christian refers to God as Allah is he no longer a Christian?
You write at length about the construction of the Koran as being composed of Suras of various lengths. What has this to do with its content or veracity? You seem to find significance that Allah (God) chose to use Gabriel as a mechanism to send His message to Mohammed as an indication that this is indicative that the message is somehow not valid and then state that “sometimes God used an angel” to speak on His behalf to Christians. What is the difference?

That is true. Do you know the origin of most of those “books”? Parsing out passages and beliefs from different religions to form your own scriptures is not something unique to the Muslims. As you noted above, Jews and Christians (particularly Christian) did the same thing. Does this call into question the veracity of their faiths as well? If anything the Christians did more of this than Muslims did, incorporating many Pagan aspects into their religion in order to win converts. Judging from your obvious knowledge of religion and history, surely you must know this. The whole “cult of Mary” for example was an attempt to win converts from the Germanic tribes that believed in an “Earth mother (goddess)” and wanted to retain such a figure. Mary, in fact, is strikingly similar to Iset (Isis) who was revered during antiquity up to and including the Roman period when Christianity formed. You should not be so quick to chiticize others for doing what early Christians clearly did themselves.
All the questions the military will want to ask this Muslim if he recovers enough from his wounds to speak, will be for naught. Muslims can outright lie to any non believer and it is not counted against them, according to the Quran. Therefore, whatever he would say would probably be a lie! You can’t deal with fanatics ever!
