Cousin: Suspected Fort Hood Gunman Faced Harassment

Fox News: The shooter's cousin, Nader Hasan, told Fox News that their family is in shock. "We are trying to make sense of all this," Nader Hasan said. "He wasn't even someone who enjoyed going to the firing range." He said his cousin, who was born and raised in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech University, turned against the wars after hearing the stories of those who came back from Afghanistan and Iraq. Nader Hasan said his cousin, who was raised a Muslim, wanted to go into the military against his parent's wishes — but was taunted by others after the terror attacks of Sept. 11.

I guarantee you that the Left will do everything possible to make Hasan the victim and the military the perpetrator.

“We are trying to make sense of all this,”

Good luck with that. I doubt this will ever make sense.

Our hearts go out to the families of the dead and wounded. This is an act against America. This is an act of terrorism and must be punished as such. I also pray for the suspect/dead, I feel that he was not all there and feel he was mislead.

NEWS UPDATE: The dead shooter’s name is Major Malik Nadal Hasan and possibly has a Muslim background. Could this be true or a vicious rumor?

The “Commander”-in-Chief isn’t…

During today’s speaking engagement, 0bama was informed of the tragic shootings at Fort Hood…but chose to keep speaking- even laughing prior to his segue telling listeners of the tragedy…

What a despicable response from our quote-unquote Commander-in-Chief…

Terri in Texas   November 5th, 2009 - 8:49 pm

If you were taunted, you didn’t have to re-enlist!! You could have just left the military and moved on!! Instead, you took the lives of 12 people and ruined the lives of their families, as well as destroying the lives of 31 others that will take years to get over this and may never do it!! I wonder how the afterlife is working out for him now!!

Lava Dog   November 5th, 2009 - 8:56 pm

The cause of death should be listed as ‘political correctness.’ I’m not a multicultural guy, but I know “Malik Nidal” means “Sovereign Struggle.”
If someone was named “Happy Pederast,” and was a member of the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA, it really exists!) I don’t think the Boy Scouts would let Happy be a scoutmaster. And of course the press would come down on the BSA. But, I guess adult supervision is the difference between the BSA and the armed forces.

VT is a hellhole   November 5th, 2009 - 8:57 pm

VT might as well be Satantic Tech. Mass shootings, beheadings, students constantly going missing, students found murdered, rumors of future mass shootings, etc. Now it comes out VT has produced yet ANOTHER mass murderer?

Terri in Texas   November 5th, 2009 - 8:59 pm

When Bush finished reading a story to little kids instead of freaking them out as the Twin Towers fell, he was crucified in the media. Obama can laugh and banter about his healthcare crap, and toss in his condolences at the end like it was an “Oh, yeah, I almost forgot…” and no one in the media says jack-squat! His speech should have began with some acknowledgement of the event and a more somber tone kept in his speech, out of reverence for the dead. 2012 could not get here soon enough!

An Actual Good American   November 5th, 2009 - 9:07 pm

“He was a good American.” Really? This is what this goof thinks is a “good American”.

He joins the Army for a free medical degree and then gets upset that he actually has to do his duty? My heart bleeds for this “good American”.

Perhaps we need to investigate the family since they think “good Americans” kill American soldiers. sounds a bit fishy to me.

An Actual Good American Is Not Actually A Good American   November 5th, 2009 - 9:20 pm

Just what we need, thought police and an accompanying gestapo. You are the epitome of the modern-day CONservative. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.

JoeKidd   November 5th, 2009 - 9:27 pm

Malik Nadal Hasan is alive…for the DEATH PENALTY!

va gent   November 5th, 2009 - 9:32 pm

Sounds like he could have used a little more harassment a little earlier.
This disgusting tragedy highlights the need to,
um, bring the muslim culture(s) up to speed with modern humanity.
There is little to no forgiveness in islam,
that is why they crack: no social/religious backup to resolve trauma.
It’s a totally dysfunctional belief system.

By the way
when do we get the story on the 2 other shooters?
That is the real story, I’m afraid.

12 Dead, 31 Hurt in Fort Hood Shooting

A muslim psychiatrist deliberately shoots to kill those he knows at Fort Hood where he also knows, and understands, they do not carry guns because it is “home” to them?

A usurping barry soetoro aka/alias barack hussein obama gives a speech about healthcare for Native Indians, and after 2+ minutes – with no apparent surprise at the BREAKING NEWS – expresses condolences to the families of the dead and wounded at Ft. Hood? So, “THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”?

Is anyone still watching ANY of the GOP 12-Hour Marathon Telecast?

To what degree will this present Administration go to secure the vote to pass “THE CROWN JEWEL OF SOCIALISM”?

What price will the present Administration exact from AMERICANS to open the GATEWAY to handing AMERICA over “lock, stock, and barrel” to a one-world government?

This a** was a good American? Excuse me, son, I don’t think so. Your cousin is a dirt bag. It sounds to me like he needed a hell of a lot more ‘harassment’ than he actually got. Frankly, I wonder about the rest of the family.

Bill Smith   November 5th, 2009 - 10:40 pm

You know, after Pearl Harbor Japanese Americans endured harassment, and then being locked up in internment camps! And what did their sons do? They joined the US Military and were some of the most highly decorated soldiers in WWII. Harassment? Cry me a river.

Terry   November 5th, 2009 - 11:04 pm

Makes a lot of sense. Imagine how the Jews would be acting if we were attacking Israel. Not that that would take long – just a few bombs and the biggest sore in the Middle East would be finally cauterized.

DEMAND ANSWERS NOW!!! STOP THE INSANITY!   November 5th, 2009 - 11:08 pm

ALL AMERICANS should get on the phone & fax & email to the White House & their Congresspeople and DEMAND SOME ANSWERS NOW!!!

*WHY are Mus-lims even ALLOWED in the U.S. Military while we are at war with Mus-lim countries???

*WHY would any Armed Forces deploy a Mus-lim to a Mus-lim country, to fight against their “brothers”?????

*HOW HARD is it to figure out that EITHER of those two situations would cause an IRRECONCILABLE CONFUSION OF LOYALTIES?!, especially for somebody who’s already being (or perceives himself as being) “harassed” because of his Muslim & Middle Eastern heritage?

THIS IS NOT BRAIN SCIENCE!!!! WHY CAN’T THOSE IDIOTS IN CHARGE USE A LITTLE G.D. COMMON SENSE???

DO IT TODAY! DEMAND THAT THE INSANITY STOP!!

H2K   November 5th, 2009 - 11:13 pm

How many of us have endured harassment at some point in time? Most, I’ll bet. Why does this terrorist mus.lim feel that he’s so special?

What's NEXT??   November 5th, 2009 - 11:14 pm

What’s next? CAIR defending this murdering Mus-lim psycho-shrink?
ENOUGH ALREADY with the coddling of extremist maniacs!

Matt   November 5th, 2009 - 11:26 pm

Stop the PC BS, I am so sick of it, he is not the “suspected” shooter, the islamic f-ing traitor to America DID IT.

Rachel   November 5th, 2009 - 11:49 pm

Wanna bet the killer is a Palestinian? Just listening to the way his family try to make the KILLER the victim and you recognize it right away. No accountability whatsoever – just place the blame on everyone but yourself and your own people.

According to his COUSIN, he is a good American that was victimized in the US Army – but the facts speak otherwise – the US Army ignored warnings about the guy BECAUSE he was a Muslim and probably didn’t want any flack from the White House. He did a crappy job in the army but was still promoted to major (!) probably as a poster boy to show how politically fair and correct the US Army is.

Wake up people – figure out now who you can trust and who you can’t.

Jana   November 6th, 2009 - 12:00 am

Very good post Rachel. I agree with you completely. Any signs of a militant attitude towards the U.S. were most likely ignored because he WAS a Muslim, and they feared it would look like they were stero typing. And, as for the alleged harrassemetn, like Terry mentioned, he could have resigned if he felt that way, but what was made very clear by his cousin in this clip was that he did not want to be deployed overseas. He was terrified of going after hearing the stories of the soldiers he treated that had come back, and he was determined not to go.

checkit   November 6th, 2009 - 12:17 am

A Good American? Shoots Americans but doesn’t want to go overseas to do his job?

Blame everyone else, and every other reason but yourselves sounds just like the Hamas, Blame the west and send suicide bombers to blowup buses, innocent people. But it was their fault, the terrorist went to kill them, right? Typical Islam response, killing for a good reason, Just like the Dad In Arizona that RAN OVER his daughter for not taking to Iragi values, which they are hiding the truth, that it was a Islam Honor Killing, but to Islam is was a justified killing.

Just another islam killing that has nothing to do with islam, right?
muslims / islam folks should NOT be in any law enforcement or military position nor elected office.

Here’s a message for this guys big mouth cousin.

Blow it out your cake hole. He was NOT a good American. Good Americans do NOT murder our troops. Your cousin was a typical Muslim mujahideen who was more dedicated to the cult Islam than he was to this country, the Army and the troops he was supposed to be serving with. He was fine with being in the Army as long as he could make his six figure income without having to actually be a soldier. But as soon as he was called upon to do what the Army is actually here to do, he turned frigging jihadist on dozens of unarmed troops. So you can save your pity speech. I personally don’t care if he was being harassed. I hope they heal him up and then park his sorry a§§ against a wall and aerate the sob.

Kix   November 6th, 2009 - 1:35 am

Rachel, his family is Jordanian, which for all intents and purposes is Palestinian, since Jordan was carved out of the Palestinian Territory and was supposed to be Arab-Palestine.

Rachel   November 6th, 2009 - 2:19 am

Most Jordanians are Palestinians – it is a police state run by a minority of Beduins. As far as I am concerned, more power to King Abdallah and his secret service. There is a good reason for the fact that there are no democracies in Arab and other Muslim countries.

You won’t read this in the Jordan Times.

Wise up, Americans – political correctness leads to chaos, anarchy and murder; Exhibit A: The Fort Hood Massacre.

1984AnimalFarm   November 6th, 2009 - 7:41 am

Wake up America. Islam has declared war on the United States. It is time we did the same to them. Starting with the one in the White House.

Since when are Majors harrassed? Everyone is “harrased” in the green machine ,doesnt meem you go out and whack people.
This looks pre-meditated.
Theres more sincerity at a mafia hit funeral then what came from obamas mouth today.
