Any signs of a militant attitude towards the U.S. were most likely ignored because he WAS a Muslim, and they feared it would look like they were stero typing. And, as for the alleged harrassemetn, like Terry mentioned, he could have resigned if he felt that way, but what was made very clear by his cousin in this clip was that he did not want to be deployed overseas. He was terrified of going after hearing the stories of the soldiers he treated that had come back, and he was determined not to go.
