He bends over, however we are the ones taking it. What a moron.

Bowbama

Rexter   November 16th, 2009 - 9:14 am

All of them could have bowed before or after the picture was taken. Duh. This could be very misleading.

kdj   November 16th, 2009 - 9:24 am

Even if you were correct, none of them were bowed WHILE SHAKING. (and even Asians would tell you that how low he bowed was inappropriate). That bow/shake is basically the equivalent of graveling/pleading forgiveness. Nice try though.

But your quick “photoshop” like reaction is pretty sad. Just admit he made a fool of himself and our country like he has been on all his foreign trips.

John Balliet   November 16th, 2009 - 9:27 am

That’s our commander in chief !

T. Rexter   November 16th, 2009 - 9:33 am

There was no audio, but Obama actually said, “Yessuh, Massa” to Akihito when he was bowing.

SubjectofUSSA   November 16th, 2009 - 9:35 am

He’s such an embarrassment, this guy makes Jimmy Carter look like the best President ever.

FastFacts   November 16th, 2009 - 9:36 am

My father-in-law is a culture analyst and said that it is protocol to bow, BUT in their culture it is for the underling to bow lower than the master and Obama definately bowed lower and more empathetically. Interesting also that media only shows pictures from below eye level of his bow, making him look like he stood heads over the emperor but actually it wasn’t as bad.

There isn’t any question about him bowing to the Saudi King, though he denies it. This may have been protocol but he showed that he was an underling to the emperor. What does that mean about the United States, another apology?

I love how Politico called this a non story. I think they know the ramifications of this and they choose to ignore it. Our president hates our country. We are represented by someone who hates us and our history. His bowing undoes years of positive relations between us and the Japanese. He is acting like a punk.

But we have a lot of punks in this country. Like the two who filmed the corruption at acorn and apparently some students at the University of Connecticut.

Awesome.

Udzon   November 16th, 2009 - 9:39 am

Let’s get this clown out of office ASAP!!!

Payton   November 16th, 2009 - 9:42 am

We now live in a time that we, as Americans can no longer just sit on the sidelines and do nothing and expect our politicians to represent the majority. All of you need to get involved to ensure our freedoms and hard earned money is protected. The message needs to be clearly sent to our representatives that if you do not represent the majority, we will find someone who will. There are many ways you can get involved. A good way is to write your politicians and let them know where you stand on the issues. A good site that automates the writing process and will actually deliver your letter is http://www.Dearpolitician.org.. They go above and beyond to make it easy for you to get involved. I found out about the site two months ago and I visit the site daily. Take a few minute out of your day to write your politicians.

Nancy Pelosi   November 16th, 2009 - 9:48 am

REXTOR!!! Please do not talk about bowing, even though you may be an expert on the subject!

You and I know what happens when you bow. It may be an “uplifting” experience for you, it’s a very SORE subject for ME!

Oh, and please don’t forget your procto exam next week.

Udzon,

I agree. Let’s do it. The American people have to stand up and boot this ridiculous mess out of the WH NOW!!!!

K   November 16th, 2009 - 10:12 am

In the video link below, the Marines exhibit obvious love and respect for President Bush. His visit was not an event that followed closely on the heels of 9/11. This video was taken after the worst days of the war and after the surge created major progress in the region. The president is visiting the troops in Anbar Province, the home of the infamous Falluja and Ar Ramadi killing grounds. This visit took place after the province had been pacified. In other words, the Marines showed their love of Mr. Bush even after the darkest days of the war.

The Lejune video, on the other hand, shows Obama entering with all the pomp and circumstance of a royal visit to the peasants. Hail to the Chief plays in the background; something that President Bush didn’t allow during his military visits. Obama knows that keeping the Marines locked at the position of attention means that no comparison can ever be made to the loving reception President Bush regularly received from the troops. Obama knows how the Marines feel and will always treat them exactly like the rabble he sees.

No knee bends easier than the blacks.
One reason they were slaves.

Farse Fonds FOP   November 16th, 2009 - 10:19 am

I wonder if all the blacks who voted for BHO have their free gas yet? People should have to take an intelligence test before they are allowed to vote or at least know how to write their name. At least some of them are starting to figure this clown out. I’m sure they don’t want to live under Communism either. What happens when white American runs out of money?

Mark   November 16th, 2009 - 10:22 am

Get used to it folks. Obama is uncultured, low-life ghetto trash. He is not well read, he is not particularly wise or intelligent. An affirmative action Harvard education and becoming President of the U.S. isn’t going to change that. He is just like the liberal trolls that post comments here. No substance, no viable arguments and must resort to name calling, insults and bullying thug tactics instead of trying to explain or justify their point of view. I’m not a conservative or liberal, dem or repub. I am an American! I always knew we would someday have a minority or a woman as President and that is a great thing, that is what the USA is about. I just never thought that we would be duped into electing such an absolute uncultured low-life scumbag. Obama, the man, is a direct reflection of the people that voted for him. Now he is a direct reflection of all of us whether we like it or not. Read a few online newspapers from other countries. The world thought Bush was an idiot and somewhat dangerous but they think Obama is a complete embarrasment. Yeah, the world feels embarrassed for us, the United States of America. What does that tell you?

kmichaels – I highly doubt after the first time he got ripped on for bowing to a world leader (King of Saudi Arabia) that this is any sort of accident, or lack of knowledge of protocol.

He’s just on his world tour of apologizing for America and doing his best to destroy our world standing and national pride.

O C'mon!   November 16th, 2009 - 11:08 am

This is his message to the enemy’s of America…

he is signaling that now is the time to attack. he is bowing down to show America is vulnerable while he’s in office.

What a weak coward. he’s a huge embarrassment and the only bigger embarrassment than him is all the goons who voted for him.

K   November 16th, 2009 - 11:24 am

And indeed America is vulnerable, especially with this vapid creature in office. Health plan? What health plan? What good is that when you’re blown up to bits?

I’ll take Bush freedom over hijacked freedom any day!

America…the deep bow that Bilderberg Bush-Obama did before his Saudi Arabia Islamic King…Abdullah was real! It was done by a Muslim bowing deeply to his King showing his subserviance and his allegiance!

This one initiated before the leader of Japan was just to coverup the truth of the bow before his Islamic King…nothing more!

No head of state of another country bows before the Emperor that deeply in Japan…it is totally inappropriate and definitely not protocol like they want us to think!

It was out of place and it was a coverup for his allegiance and his bow to Islam!

Someone in the White House needs to brush him up on “real” protocol instead of using their lies and spin to coverup his Islamic allegiance bow to King Abdullah!

Again, another Democratzi lie and spin to coverup the truth!

The President was taught to respect old people.
After all, his grand parents were the ones with whom he grew up.

He is just showing respect for the elders.
What is wrong with that.

Matt   November 16th, 2009 - 1:11 pm

In Japan, it is customary to bow – if you’re a wuss.

rose   November 16th, 2009 - 1:20 pm

Mark,
bowing is the custom of the japanese, you old wussy.
You are a wussy fart.

Emul Pedmon   November 16th, 2009 - 1:24 pm

Obama was not bowing. As commander in chief and on behald fo this great nation he was just positioning his southern flyer for what we can next expect from the world community.

Borat Saktiev   November 16th, 2009 - 1:27 pm

In defense of your President, using leader of glorious nation of Kazakhstan as example is unfair. The great peoples of my nation bow before no man.

Derrylane   November 16th, 2009 - 1:29 pm

Just goes to show you that Obama is stupid and has not a clue on protocol. I wonder if Obama knows how to say the pledge of Allegiance ? He sure didn’t know how many states we have. Hmmm, about that long form Birth Certificate. He hasn’t found it yet??

mary   November 16th, 2009 - 1:35 pm

Derrylane.

Are you damn stupid or what. President is the most intelligent President you have ever had. I bet you don’t know the capital of each state.

I see you are one of the birthers. I should know you were damn stupid.

Senator Klit Torris   November 16th, 2009 - 1:36 pm

Rose,
If you like bowing so much, then bow down and suck the dingleberries off my a$$hole, you skank.

Other   November 16th, 2009 - 1:37 pm

Since the Revolutionary War our leaders have refused to bow to other countries.
Our Olympians are instructed not to bow to heads of state or symbols of monarchy when in the Olympic sponsoring country – see Norway Olympics when, during opening ceremonies, every countrys flag bearer bowed to the prince when passing by, except the USA.

Contrast: 46 Other World Leaders Did Not Bow to Japanese Emperor

46 other countries probably don’t owe Japan around 3/4 of a trillion dollars, either.

frankly   November 16th, 2009 - 2:28 pm

Obama is just such a fool. All he has to rely on is his Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright ideology.

kmichaels   November 16th, 2009 - 2:54 pm

The stupidity of Obama is amazing but his arse lickers on this board out stupid him by far.

SubjectoftheUSSA   November 16th, 2009 - 3:06 pm

get real racer, japan wouldn’t even exist today if it weren’t for us. we could of just left it alone after the war and let china take it over. i’m sure they would of been happy to after the Japanese attacked them as well. Our relationship with Japan as been excellent ever since and I’d bet money Obama will throw them under the bus as soon as he gets rumblings from Kim Jong Il. If he hasn’t already.

duncan   November 16th, 2009 - 3:12 pm

Obama fiddles while America burns

Fools for Advisors   November 16th, 2009 - 3:20 pm

How hard is it to be advised on diplomatic protocol dealing with the Japanese emperor or Saudi royalty? These MaoBama turkeys are such cultural elitists they think they know everything so why ask. Turns out everything they think they know is wrong and they end up looking like fools and the bad part is they make America look bad in the process.

IceCream Rover   November 16th, 2009 - 3:25 pm

when I give scoops to geusts toby busines I often bow while reaching deep into the freezer. I don’t know what you raceists are talking about. Barack is the greatest president ever. Bowing is a normal thing in Indonesia where here grew up. for those who talk about Mr Obama getting confused about the number of states or placing hand over heart during the anthom or pledge It is something he did not to do in elementary school in Indonesia.

Medic4   November 16th, 2009 - 3:48 pm

Well, Rover, my wife, a Colombian national and legal U.S. resident, has been in the United States for 7 years. She knows the Pledge of Allegiance, puts her hand over her heart when reciting it, knows there are only 50 states, and knows the Capital of each. She never attended Harvard. In fact, your messiah has been in the United States longer than my wife and I have been alive. Attending school in Indonesia is not an excuse for idiocy.

Jana   November 16th, 2009 - 3:50 pm

IT IS NOT APPROPRIATE for a U.S. President to bow like this to any world leader. No other U.S. President has ever done this. He may have meant well, but his advisers really screwed up on this one. It is correct that the “lower the bow”, the more you are elevating the person you are bowing too, as well as displaying your your lower status to them. A slight incline of the head would have been more in line for any head of state, not to mention the U.S. President in this situation.

It has ALWAYS been customary practice in the White House that U.S. Presidents do not bow to foreign leaders. No one expects this internationally. It is also customary in the U.S. Code of Flags that the American flag does not “dip” to the head of state during the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics either. There are various reasons for this in history, but the most poetic is that the flag of freedom is lowered for no mortal man. There are several other reasons dating back to the beginning of the Games, but it has remained a custom nonetheless.

SteveZ71   November 16th, 2009 - 4:58 pm

Maybe it’s only protocol for Community Organizers to bow…what a PINHEAD!!!!! WTG Commie and Thief, I mean Commander and Theif, awww-H3LL you know what I mean! lol

Barry Obama   November 16th, 2009 - 5:07 pm

Obviously all of the other world leaders are just doing it wrong. I never get anything wrong, like when I said all those things and changed my mind later, those were not things I got wrong, I was just lying on purpose, in order to get elected. But now that I am the number one man, I do what pleases me. And when I see strong men, I bow down to them, and give them service.

mary   November 16th, 2009 - 5:09 pm

I call myself mary, but my real name is larry, and Barry said he would call afterwords but he still has not called. I am sorry I told the world about you and I Barry. Please take me back. I promise I wont bite down as hard as last time.

Doug Ramsey   November 16th, 2009 - 6:01 pm

Obama’s still kind of green. I always thought he was too inexperienced, but someone had to give him the heads up on what to do.

kmichaels   November 16th, 2009 - 6:37 pm

Obama’s green naive nature coupled with his red communist behavior makes for one seriously sad dufus and dangerous leader.

Whatwhatwhat   November 16th, 2009 - 9:45 pm

I’m not going to disagree with the premise. Heads of State do not bow to each other but Americans aren’t used to dealing with royalty.

And as I’ve said, Ronald Reagan bowed when he met the emperor too. Yes, there’s a photo of it as proof.

Jana   November 17th, 2009 - 1:05 am

Let’s face it. The reason this really gets to a lot of Americans is because he is more than willing to bow to foreign leaders but would not put his hand over his heart while our national anthem is being played. Many of us have not forgotten that. His lame “excuse” that he was not ‘breaking any laws’ did not endear him to many either. Besides that, he was WRONG.

Although never enforced. The U.S. code of Flags states that all those not in uniform face the flag, and place their right hand over their heart during the playing of the national anthem. Even a junior senator should have known that.

JWood   November 17th, 2009 - 3:04 pm

I’ve never read such ignorant, paranoid, uneducated comments from so many hateful, racist, intolerant people. If you were paying attention, you would know that George Bush did more to embarrass our country than almost any other president. Sorry, but irrational and uninformed bandwagon rants do not equal patriotism.
