Why does anyone listen to a word he says?
All you need to know about Snake Oil Al is contained in his testimony in the Pagones Libel trial, The Freddy's Fashion Mart murders, and the recent Criminal Tax evasion investigation. His actions and words show a willingness (allegedly) to lie and cheat, moreover spur others into acts of violence and murder.

Pagones: Sharpton was the main mouthpiece for Twana Brawley, who accused several white politicians of gang rape and then stuffing her in a excrement stuffed trash bag to dump her on the street. She made up the entire, unbelievable story just to keep from getting in trouble for partying and running away from home. For the better part of a year Sharpton, C. Vernon Mason Esq and Alton Maddox Esq attempted to capitalize on the fabrication. Sharpton long after he knew Brawley's story was a lie, he continued to repeat false statements to take political advantage to extract $ tribute or whip up a no justice no peace style riot to secure more tribute. Pagones had the guts sued Rev Al for libel. It is incredibly hard for a public figure to recover libel, all the Rev Al needed to do was retract his statements. But Rev Al went down blazing and the court awarded Pagones $180,000 plus attorneys fees.

In an attempt to collect, the Rev Al took the stand, in a now sealed court record, to testify under oath that he could not pay as he had taken a vow of poverty. He alleged his only possession was a Rolex watch given to him by a grateful client. His clothes, money, home, etc are all owned by his "church" web of non-profit organizations. The NY Times account of his testimony shows his willingness to bear false witness after taking an oath to God. He stated that he and his family (wife and two daughters) entered their Brownstone by only the back door, all use of the common areas was solely for non profit business (including the kitchen), essentially painting a picture of almost one room living in the home. Testimony was given in attempts to show that bathroom use was severely restricted and personal use was only in one bathroom. Rev Al had trouble showing why the tuition paid for his two daughters to attend the most expensive private day school in NYC was a business expense of the non profits, rather than an income item he should have paid tax upon. Records of expenses were requested, however, the Rev Al only deals in cash and did not submit proof of expenses to the non profits. he stated his need for cash was very low as everywhere he goes his supporters pay many of his expenses for the good work he does. Pagones never got paid a penny of his judgment, until the Rev Al ran for President of the US, and a supporter decided it would not be a good thing for Rev Al to have an unpaid libel judgment on his resume. Not that the news media even asked any embarrassing questions about the sorted affair due to political correctness and fear of the Sharpton no justice no peace tribute machine.

Freddy's fashion Mart, A Black Church owned owned the Freddy's Fashion Mart commerical property, The Church asked Fred Harari, a Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart, to evict his subtenant, a black-owned record store called The Record Shack. Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the planned eviction. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."Roland J. Smith Jr., one of the protesters, entered Harari's store with a gun and flammable liquid, shot several customers and set the store on fire. The gunman fatally shot himself, and seven store employees died of smoke inhalation. Rev Al denied responsibility for inflaming or provoking the murderous violence. See Also Crown Heights riots.

About two years ago the IRS started a criminal tax evasion investigation of Sharpton's web of non-profits named the Action Network. Serious problems were found that led to a large assessment. Rev Al apparently kept (if you can call it that) inadequate books and records personally and in relation to the non-profits and for profit business interests. See Pagones for discussion of Rev Al's dealing in cash and failure to keep records. Due to large outlays of legal and accounting fees, Rev Al was able to slither away from the criminal charges. As a general rule the IRS has difficulty nailing down those that deal in cash and that purposefully keep poor books and records. They are lucky to get a third of the actual income. Rev Al and his Network owed $1.5 million in tax assessments and penalties (given the situation likely civil fraud penalties were part of this at a rate of 75% penalty)

It's a good thing that there was text on the screen otherwise I wouldn't have been able to understand what he said. Even then his grammar was terrible. I've listened to him on television and he doesn't speak the way he did in the video which leads me to conclude that he is either talking down to his audience or that's the only language they understand. If this is the case, as it is clearly so, it doesn't speak well of either Sharpton or his audience. This of course translates over into the quality of the candidate that Sharpton supported. It was good to hear that the voters voted against the Sharpton favorite.

Now hopefully, the one they chose will represent them properly. Time will tell.

I agree. Segregation is very important for the new Plantation owners like Sharpton. When people get experience being around different races, they soon see the obvious. There are some good blacks and some bad. There are some good whites and some bad. There are some good people of Asian decent and some bad. There are some basically good people who sometimes do bad things, and there are some people who are ruled by evil and occasionally do something good. People are people no matter what race.

But Al can't let his slaves see that. To keep these slaves in line you have to preach about evil whitey keeping the black man down. The whitey slave owner, but never mention the whites who risked their lives, families, homes and fortunes to free slaves on the underground railroad. The education system in the US was destroyed by the Progressive influence, people like Howard Zinn and his ilk have run roughshod for many years. Desegregation had nothing to do with it. The plight of black inner city schools also has nothing to do with the fact that the majority of the students are black, it has more to do with the fact that the inner city black family structure has been destroyed by yet again more Progressive policies.

Has Rev. Sharpton, Rev. Jackson, and Rev. Jeremiah Wright have ever read the Sermon on the Mount? Their behavior is the exact opposite of how a Christian should behave. They are not Christians. They incite black-on-white violence and the KKK alike. There is much blood on their hands.
