Congressman Wants Wikileaks Leaker Executed

Following news that an Army private was accused with leaking thousands of pages of intelligence documents related to the war in Afghanistan, Congressman Mike Rogers says he supports execution for the soldier involved if he is ultimately found guilty.

I will be happy if he gets 20 years

Dave_in_Oregon   August 3rd, 2010 - 6:56 pm

I think the entire Obama administration should be charged with TREASON.

We have our own Kenyan Muslim TERRORIST who needs to be put on trial for humdreds of killings, kidnappings, rapes, Human smuggling, drug trafficing, and dozens of other crimes when he failed to do his NUMBER ONE JOB OF PROTECTING AMERICAN CITIZENS ON AMERICAN SOIL !

(To see a list of Americans killed or injured on OUR OWN LAND…) http://www.ojjpac.org/memorial.asp

doowop   August 3rd, 2010 - 6:56 pm

i fully support his execution after a proper gangbang.

Patkean   August 3rd, 2010 - 6:59 pm

Freedom of speech is already dead in England. Ask Michael Savage. A single E-mail from the Center for American Progress to a Labor party MP, claiming hate speech, and Savage was banned from England. No trial, no opportunity to face his accuser.

Send a Seal Team in grab this guy throw him in Gitmo set up a military court date soon a possible. Given his IS GUILTY OF CAUSING HARM TO BRITISH AND AMERICAN TROOPS IN THE FIELD execute him – in public – afterwards.

Nodhimmi   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:01 pm

It was treason. He should pay for his crime appropriately. If US soldiers die as he result of his actions, then he should to. Otherwise, 20 years is ok with me, if he actually serves the time.

Davecat84   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:01 pm

I think they executed the Rosenbergs for less.

SubjectofUSSA   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:02 pm

So where was this guy crying for those Russian spies to be hung?

JoeDoakes101   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:03 pm

One man speaks the truth. Now watch what happens to him. We have federal prisons full of traitors that are alive at our expense. Who should go to the head of the line? Malik Hassan(fort hood). Do you realize the US Army is still paying him. Your tax dollars supporting the enemy. We live in a world I barely recognize.

2010zr1   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:04 pm

seriously though folks-he is not a citizen but could be tried as a combatant. That would get him 20 years to life. Put the phkr in Levenworth prison.

In a cell with Lance-Crpl. Bubbu-brucie.

SubjectofUSSA   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:05 pm

That story is soo 3 Linday Lohan's ago, you're not supposed to talk about Fort Hood anymore

vwhizbang   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:05 pm

Ok trolls, here's your chance to jump in and claim violence and lack of tolerance from the right.

patriot5257   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:06 pm

He was just following inman hussein obamas doctrine.

UrinalMint   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:07 pm

I am sure that he will be placed in a nice comfy cell like that Ft. Hood Muslim terrorist. The ACLU will show up and defend him because his rights were violated, and when he gets off, Oliver Stone will make the movie. Ain't America great?

Oh, yeah, and maybe some pissed off family member will be waiting with a high powered rifle as he comes out of the court house. Hmmm, wonder if the ACLU will help him?

antilibtards   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:08 pm

Like many democrat members of congress, this PFC has committed treason.

sunflowers   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:08 pm

I think that is the punishment for Treason. If he is found guilty, than so be it.

vwhizbang   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:09 pm

What's your point? You have evidence of the russian spies posting American classified info on the web and endangering the lives of American GIs? Let's see it. If your assertion is true I say hang them on the capitol steps.

JoeDoakes101   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:10 pm

I vote we go back to the old days. If convicted of drugs, unarmed robbery, prostitution et al. We give the convict four choices. Marines, Air Force, Navy or Army.

Spanky2   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:10 pm

He could accidentally fall out of the airplane while trying to escape on his way to Gitmo.

SubjectofUSSA   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:11 pm

cecil91   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:12 pm

BHO should be arrested not only for sedition, but for illegally living in the United States. He and his illegal aunt should be placed in the hold of a tuna boat and shipped back to live in a thatched hut next to his half-brother; however, the hut should be raised on stilts so as to be higher than any other and adorned with prayer rugs and his favorite turban on a stick. All of this will be done in the most humanitarian manner possible, and all for his personal well-being since it takes a village to raise an idiot.

BHO_UMM_UMM_UMM   August 3rd, 2010 - 12:14 pm

The leaker and his Al Qaeda sympathizer handlers at wikileaks should all pay the ultimate price. What would we do to a Muslim Al Qaeda soldier if he/she broke into the base and stole the same info and handed it over to bin Laden to publish on the internet for all of Al Qaeda to use against us? The soldier is no better, wikileaks no better. People will die and America will be less safe because of this damaging unlawful disclosure, this act of war against the US. The 'good intentions" excuse doesn't mean squat. If it makes them feel better, though, they can be assured it is with good intentions I'm trying to get them executed for their crimes.

If there is not the harshest of penalties for this act, the incentive for betraying America will outweigh the penalty and our national security will be fatally compromised.

Kevin Stowell   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:15 pm

"Drop" him off at his house. Happy contrails to yeewww, until we meet again.

Calvin0007   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:15 pm

This is treason we are talking about… I know that they don't like to use the term anymore but there it is. If found guilty then he should be executed either by firing squad or hanging. His cohort should be charged with espionage and accessory to murder if it can be shown that even one soldier died due to his actions. Being an Australian he can't really be charged with treason but espionage… He should be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Deusexmachina   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:15 pm

Whack the Wikileaker…….

mackycat   August 3rd, 2010 - 12:17 pm

Execute. Treason cannot be tolerated. Prison is not good enough. Death by firing squad.

Some of the left wing politicians should take note.

Also, death to that POS Wikileaks nihilist who posted them.

_Son_of_Liberty   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:18 pm

The whinning little sissy should be shot in the head and left for wild dogs to feed on.

JoeDoakes101   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:22 pm

Apologies but the only person who can commit treason and get away with it, is the President. That is why having one Anti American political party is so dangerous. We have a 50% chance of someone willing to sell their Countryman out. Scott Brown are you paying attention?

Americanclass   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:22 pm

Absolutely. And kudos to the 1 congressman who has the spine and love of country conviction to say such. This type of anti-American and treasonous behavior must be met with unwavering and severe punishment.

SubjectofUSSA   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:23 pm

So now it has to be posted on the web for it to be bad? We've been busting Soviet spy rings for decades, under different Administrations, haven't executed anyone since the 50s. We're sure not going to start now.

fulljump   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:23 pm

JoeDoakes101   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:25 pm

Lindsay Lohan and Lady Gaga should be air dropped into Taliban controlled Pakistan. How long do you think they would last? Would they die from repeated rape or the stoning?

Jamesb   August 3rd, 2010 - 12:25 pm

If the Rooskies are holding Americans they deem "spies" they get hanged in a tit-for-tat.

This Ginger Kid and his buddies at MIT and the Wikileaks guy are the whole equation – so no problem.

Shoot 'em, hang 'em, be done with them.

6musket6   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:25 pm

Mike is 100% CORRECT. They sould also find the "white house leaker" who warned assange about coming back to the USA…..the leaker is probably the clown who leaked the data in the first place and tagged the E 3 as the culprit…..

Holdmynose   August 3rd, 2010 - 7:26 pm

He was in the military, he gave away military secrets, of course he should be shot.

Jamesb   August 3rd, 2010 - 12:27 pm

Sounds about right. Time to hunt down his MIT *helpers* and jail them for 20 or 30 years too.

Capt_Knuckles   August 3rd, 2010 - 12:27 pm

Military Justice…. if found guilty he should be Hanged by the neck until dead as a strong message to all other weak minded traitors that feel justified in participating in this kind of unforgivable activity. There is no excuse for what this traitorous fiend did, he will be responsible for all the deaths of the afghan's that helped our troops by naming them. They will be killed make no mistake about that.

something fishy here… how does a lance crpl. get this information?
secondly, who oversees and what security is inplace to track and keep this information from being released?

Lastly, who cares what the community thinks, we aren't permitted to engage the enemy anyways!

This goes much deeper then we are being told. Anyone with a brain can figure this out.

But to execute, why?

We are going to try TERRORISTS whom have been at GITMO on our dime and for what? EXECUTE THEIR A$$ES ASAP.

Sounds fair to me. This was not a civilian, this was a guy in uniform who took the oath and willfully did this. Them's the rules.

If putting panties on the heads of terrorists will get you 10 years in Leavenworth, this should at least be worth life in prison. And if some one dies as a result, their life should be forfeit. So sorry, them's the rules.

The leaker is probably friends of Hillary and Obama.

DwightWannabe   August 3rd, 2010 - 8:26 pm

If this is not the definition of Treason, then we need to get rid of the laws for Treason if we aren't going to enforce them.

PaBowHunter   August 3rd, 2010 - 8:31 pm

Execution for all involved if found guilty. If you leak secrets during a time of war placing soldiers at risk, you deserve execution.

smoke ranch   August 3rd, 2010 - 1:32 pm

What real justice would be is to have the Rangers or the Seals take him on a little road trip. Then again that would be too quick and nice. Life in a 4×8 foot white cell, no TV, no books, no pens or paper, only prison personal to interact with in Colorado next to Mr. Walker would be OK for me.

Dave_Tn   August 3rd, 2010 - 8:36 pm

He pissed away the hard work of honest Americans who took huge risk and in some cases lost their lives to build relationships with the locals and he was wanting to know if his leak had made the news cycle yet.

kmichaels   August 3rd, 2010 - 2:41 pm

His rank would easily allow him access to secret information, if not top secret.
The bigger question is in why we do not having better tracking software documenting
the number of downloads from a given account.

kmichaels   August 3rd, 2010 - 9:43 pm

You have to be pretty god damned ignorant to think you have a right to secret US military information.
You're fvcking insane.

c0micb00kart1st   August 3rd, 2010 - 2:46 pm

I agree completely. We should follow the proper channels and and make sure that we get the right guy. If the evidence shows that Manning is the right guy, he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Sadly, I don't expect much to come out of it. We're used to seeing acts of treason ignored (Jane Fonda, for example). Have we convicted anyone of treason since Ethel and Julius Rosenberg?

antilibtards   August 3rd, 2010 - 2:54 pm

Americans do not have the right to place our military and their supporters at an intentional disadvantage. If that were the case then I want to see you to be the first drafted for military service. You are a 300 mhz moron.

TexasStomp   August 3rd, 2010 - 9:57 pm

Makkem   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:00 pm

Death penalties are a bit silly here , it would set a trend and not a good one. This is not China. YET

Kevin Stowell   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:03 pm

Snuff 'im. We tolerate waaaayyyyy too much treasonous behavior in this country.

kmichaels   August 3rd, 2010 - 3:18 pm

Lots of idiots think that prosecuting spies and traitors are silly.
This notion is often considered silly by liberals contemplating
giving out secret information and or becoming traitors themselves.
But pardon us silly patriots for wanting such traitors dead.

BTW we would be china if all US citizens thought it was ok
to give out our military secrets to anyone that wants them.

Spanky2   August 3rd, 2010 - 3:28 pm

…and then if they survive the fall they could swim to Venezuela or Cuba, whichever they find the most appealing.

Makkem   August 3rd, 2010 - 3:31 pm

Calm down , I did not say prosecution is silly. I said killing an arsehole journalist is silly. It would make him a hero . The traitor was the army leak or the congressional leak. The army leak should be shot. Locking ip the wikiwanker is all that is needed.
If you are a patriot , good for you . BY the way , since you didn't ask , secrets are sold everyday by good old boys making a fast buck. Our universities are filled with Chinese and Russian "students," walking away with much more vital information.
Russia has a foothold in America few people understand , China is building one , our industry is top heavy with spies and traitors , not to mention congress . Billy boy Clinton gave the crown Jewels away.
Obama is building a Muslim nation in your back yard. Wiki is just a web page that be closed in an instant
and has not been closed. The perp is free and we could take him down in a second. Ask yourself why he was allowed to get the data , who gave it to him and who let it loose. IT WAS NOT FYEO , it was background low level chatter that the agencies see go by all of the time. Ask why someone in our govt wanted that gun camera footage set free ?
You clearly do not understand the protocols of intelligence agencies or the armed forces.

Order66   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:43 pm

I wish I could say he was a Democrat, but he's a Michigan Republican (they exist!).

I guess all I was trying to say is that the Constitution covers treason and if that's the charge they go with, the punishment is quite clear. Pesky prognosticating forefathers. :)

Order66   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:45 pm

rachelpeepers   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:47 pm

It's a precarious moment in our nation's life
With traitors and those out to kill so open so rife
Like Bradley Manning, such a low down traitor
Few sins against this nation greater

The cancer of corruption it's time to cut out
The racism and division Obama's about
His desire to destroy America is really so obvious
We need to grab a scalpel each and every one of us

About him America is now developing
An overriding disgust that is enveloping
Here at this Alinsky inspired junction
Breaking its back's become our number one function

Never before such a test have we faced
This ObamaMenace, a national disgrace
Of freedom, dear freedom this bum won't rob me
We'll lose our country over my dead body

amanuensis   August 3rd, 2010 - 10:48 pm

HeReturnsSoon   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:07 pm

Military Court and Civilian Court are two different systems. As a member of the military you are NOT afforded the same rights as a civilian. Thus a Court Marshall will be the order on this matter.

bluehorse   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:13 pm

I thoroughly agree with Congressman Rogers about executing those who have been responsible for killing US troops and innocent civilians. I also think we should put on trial and execute every congressman and senator who has been responsible for killing US soldiers and civilians in Irag by funding a war against weapons of mass destruction which was a lie. The 9-11 attack was financed by Saudi Arabia by terrorists trained in Afganistan. The lies were put together by the last administration and continued by the current one. These are facts not suppositions. Let's get started now. Let the executions begin.

kmichaels   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:13 pm

Apparently your head is up your ass. This story is about the military guy, not a journalist. Next time understand the article before you look so stupid answering the wrong question.

c0micb00kart1st   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:18 pm

Agreed. I was thinking of a Court Marshall when I said "proper channels". Thanks for the clarification.

c0micb00kart1st   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:28 pm

You make some good points. But yeah, this threads discussing the army leak…

Robb76   August 3rd, 2010 - 11:31 pm

This peter-breath should be hanged.

TexasStomp   August 3rd, 2010 - 4:36 pm

And i'm having trouble with this story.

Sensitive documents in real life are scattered all over hellngone. No one system has access to all of them or even each other. Intel is electronically compartmentalized and need to know just like field intel. Only a rare few know key details of very many sensitive ops, let along where and how to access 90+ THOUSAND documents of EXTREME SENSITIVITY.

Just this kid's rank and time in grade argue that even a skilled analyst would not have or be able to gain access to a fraction of the stuff these reports claim to contain and assuming this kid would be able to recognize or determine the sensitivity of intel he might stumble on…not passin my smell test.

If NOT then I'm left with two possible alternatives that would make sense.

1) He's a fall guy for a very high level Intel or command grade officer who harbors a deep hatred for this war, perhaps our Generals, and especially our so called allies the Pakis and Karzi. Someone who wanted to hurt the military and the WH. Someone capable of inflicting enough harm to cause a speed up of our withdrawal, and sow seeds of distrust between Paki, Karzi, and us. Someone deeply angry.

If I was such a person I'd need an expendable pawn. I'd look for a bottom feeder with access and sociopathic tendencies, someone who felt undervalued and superior. Then I'd find a way with my own, high level access, to trick him into thinking he was gaining access to sensitive material by "allowing" him to think he'd access documents of MY CHOOSING DESIGNED FOR MINIMUM TROOP DAMAGE BUT MAXIMUM DIPLOMATIC DAMAGE AND HIGH LEVEL ENOUGH TO FORCE OBAMA'S HAND ON WITHDRAWAL.

OR scenario 2

2) He's still a fall guy only for ANOTHER TYPE OF OP, one born of disgust for the way the war has being managed, disgust with Karzi, someone with great loyalty to our troops OUR FIELD COMMANDERS and a strong desire to get them out of harm's way, which Obama was leaning less and less toward doing, to please conservative hawks.

I wouldn't want to hurt our soldiers, just force this into the public arena, so I'd do the same thing as in the first scenario only this time the information I fed the kid would be DISinformation, or partial information. If I wanted to be sure the enemy believed they had intel worth GLOAMING through how better to do that than with a big, loud, messy expose involving a Anti-American psycho at WikiLeaks a relatively credible site known for this type of activity, a WH component…icing on the cake, some Military honchos to shake their heads, cry TREASON, and tsk tsk about the state of the intel community….

and I'd time it carefully.

WASN'T IT FASCINATING THE WAY THIS AND THE WAPO INTELL SPENDING SCANDAL BROKE AT ALMOST THE SAME TIME…

AND I'd make sure the enemy had so frikkin many "almost convincing" documents to comb through they would take the better part of a year, while, oh wow, OBAMA DECLARED PEACE AND GOT OUR SOLDIERS THE HELL OUT. Yep, if I wanted to fool the public, the enemy, give the WH a well deserved jab but also a plausible excuse to get my army out of a loseing war and TO ROYALLY BF Karzi and the Pakis on the way out the door….that's what I'd do.

But I'm sure I'm wrong.

I'm sure this is exactly what they say it is.

yep….

TexasStomp   August 3rd, 2010 - 4:40 pm

India helped FBI trace ISI-terrorist links
While the Pakistani Inter Services Public Relations claimed that former ISI director-general Lt-Gen Mahmud Ahmad sought retirement after being superseded on Monday, the truth is more shocking. Top sources confirmed here on Tuesday, that the general lost his job because of the ‘evidence’ India produced to show his links to one of the suicide bombers that wrecked the World Trade Centre. The US authorities sought his removal after confirming the fact that $100,000 were wired to WTC hijacker Mohammed Atta from Pakistan by Ahmad Umar Sheikh at the instance of Gen Mahumd.

“How to create your very own terrorist state”

Tim Coles takes us through 11 steps necessary to create a “terrorist state”. Using Yemen as a case study, he argues that these steps precisely match US and British policies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran as well as Yemen to grow “very poisonous seeds”, some which have ripened while others are ripening.
