CBC Commentator: Handling of Climate Change Data Wouldn’t Pass Muster at Grade 9 Science Fair

"CRU is not the universe of climate research, but it is the star. These emails demonstrate one thing beyond all else: that climate science and global warming advocacy have become so entwined, so meshed into a mutant creature, that separating alarmism from investigation, ideology from science, agenda from empirical study, is well nigh impossible. Climategate is evidence that the science has gone to bed with advocacy, and both have had a very good time: - that the neutrality, openness, and absolute disinterest that is the hallmark of all honest scientific endeavour has been abandoned to an atmosphere and a dynamic not superior to the partisan caterwauls of a sub-average Question Period."

As Howard Johnson said of Gabby Johnson’s speech in Blazing Saddles, “Now, who can argue with that?” Seriously.

Just to let everyone know, I continue to have a smug look on my face to beat even that of the most hardened liberal…..

Imagine if instead of AGW, these clowns were defending their prosecution and conviction of some dumb schmuck rotting on death row for 20 years, and then new DNA evidence demonstrates that he couldn’t have done it, and that the victim is, in fact, still alive and selling shoes in Sheboygan?

Would they DARE claim that the jury had found him guilty, so he’s still guilty, and should fry?

I think the word “settled” would take on a whole new meaning in these guys’ lives.

Told ya so.   December 4th, 2009 - 3:52 pm

Those of us who the alarmists slam as “DENIERS” have been saying what this guy says for YEARS. I think we were right.

AirVaca   December 4th, 2009 - 3:57 pm

I remember when 60 Minutes used to do stories like this…ahh, the good old days.

samuel johnson   December 4th, 2009 - 4:17 pm

Gabby Johnson: I wash born here, an I wash raished here, and dad gum it, I am gonna die here, an no sidewindin’ bushwackin’, hornswagglin’ cracker croaker is gonna rouin me bishen cutter.

Olson Johnson : Now how can we argue with that. I think we are all indebted to Gabby Johnson here for clearly stating what had to be said. And I’m glad the children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish…but it expressed a courage that is little seen in this day and age.

Dr. Samuel Johnson: Olson Johnson is right. What kind of people are we anyhow? I say we stay and fight it out!
Gabby Johnson: Rarin!

Howard Johnson: Dr. Samuel Johnson’s right about Olson Johnson being right. And I’m not giving up my ice cream parlor, that I built with these two hands, for nothing or nobody.

Rarin!

jujubee   December 4th, 2009 - 4:22 pm

Amen!!!however, we must not forget that the facts never deterred the advocates of this ideology before.

The fight is not over, even if the truth has been exposed.

Kinda like antibiotics…keep taking them even if you are beginning to feel better. We have to kill the very last cell of this disease.

This just shows the corruption in our government that we will not look more into it.

I am watching http://www.americanparchment.com who is doing the “31 Corrupt Politicians in 31 Day” Program. I guess it’s a preview of a larger program they will be doing before the 2010 election. They have e-mail their supporters, including myself asking for more politicians to investigate. They have done Rep. Barney Frank, Gov. Mark Sanford, Sen. Conrad, and Rep. Maxine Waters. Now the one today is very corrupt. They are showing both Republicans and Democrats and are doing a great job. Check them out.

NEOFREEDOM   December 4th, 2009 - 5:58 pm

MagicMan   December 4th, 2009 - 6:04 pm

Pretty damm pathetic the Canuck media is covering ClimateGate but the USA media is looking the other way.

Actually, predictable.

Rob H.   December 4th, 2009 - 6:55 pm

Nice to see that one North American network can see news when it’s driving over them in a truck. The ones in the US still aren’t talking about it. They’ve boycotted the story for two weeks now. It’s like the ACORN scandal all over again.

JP   December 4th, 2009 - 8:04 pm

Wow! Bravo! Bravo! I am impressed.
Reminds me of the old days when newsmen were educated and articulate!
Clone him and send him to the USA!

Calvin&Hobbes   December 4th, 2009 - 8:14 pm

Who will go to jail on this one?

It’s a liberal cause — no one will go to jail.

These frauds will just get promoted out of the limelight, for a while, then back to business as usual.

NASA - James Hansen   December 5th, 2009 - 9:35 am

James Hansen should be fired by Nasa. Scientists (if you want to call them that) – lets just leave it as government employees – Government Employees like this make any NASA experiments, missions and conclusions unstrustworthy. It’s no wonder why there are claims that the moon mission was fiction. James Hansen – your an idiot and your tenure is almost up. Al Gore must be giving you some type of hand out – I am sure that he advised if the false data came from NASA, then it would appear credible.

NASA peeps – you guys are an embarrassment. Respect is lost…ged rid of this clown before it gets worse.

brigitte yee   December 5th, 2009 - 9:58 am

are the canadians trying to sound intelligent, while all the time denying common sense FACTS?

i mean, listen to all the big words.

and in America while most people are uneducated and ignorant thanks to the liberal school system of brainwashing and political correctness, most people will shut down their pea brain, and move on ignoring the truth.

then you have a highly educated person such as myself… who doesn’t fool so easily like 99% ofamericans.

madashell   December 5th, 2009 - 6:27 pm

WTF Idiots!

…and just where do you get your data on tens of thousands of scientists? It is actually only about 1,500 who support the failed theory of manmade global warming and there are over 35,000 who oppose it. If you were smart enough to check creds before you mouth off, the 1,500 are mostly scientists of other disciplines, not climatologists. On top of that, Carbon Dioxide is such a small part of the atmosphere as to make it of no consequence to anything. It was a convenient fall guy for the likes of Algore, the fool and he was able to convince enough people who failed eighth grade science into believing his claptrap. I guess you were one of those, too. You are clearly being foolish in your unabashed belief in junk science. I would guess you believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus? Oh, that’s right, you probably don’t believe in anything except what you are spoon fed, there is not enough grey matter to do otherwise.

WTF Idiots!   December 5th, 2009 - 7:05 pm

madashell, you’re a delusional illiterat hunk of s**t. 1500 supporters vs. 15,000 deniers?? hahahahaha. You are the reason America is becoming ret-arded.
