Comedy Show Host Tricks Palin Into Analyzing Canadian Health Care

"I just wanted to ask you if you have any words of encouragement for Canadian conservatives who have worked so hard to try to diminish the kind of socialized medicine we have up there."

Seems like she answered the question to me. Now the Canadians are sending their lefty wingnuts to attack Sarah, too. When will they leave her alone and get on with their miserable lives?

TERM LIMITS FOR ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS!

Now more than ever.

Rstan   November 26th, 2009 - 4:48 pm

You don’t even understand what “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave” means, nor can you appreciate what it has taken to secure it. Mock us if you so choose but until Obama destroys us and hands us over to socialism on a silver platter, we will still treat Canadians with our excellent health care system every time they cross the border to get away their “public option”. We will also continue to protect your ass with our military unless of course you think your Mounties and their houses are up to the job themselves.

FastFacts   November 26th, 2009 - 4:48 pm

What kind of comedy act is that? That wasn’t comedy was it. The lady wasn’t even funny. I guess we can laugh at her about thinking the book was a lie. I guess. There wasn’t even a joke in the whole thing. I think the lady failed.

It is true though that Canada does need to reform its health care system. There have been hundreds of articles talking about the waiting lists and hard ship their people have to go through, that is unless they come to America to get their work done.

Speaking of looking into reform, what about our government officials, we need to replace the corrupt one and get some honest people in office. http://www.americanparchment.com is doing something new for the month of December. 31 Corrupt Politicians in 31 Days. I guess they are featuring a new politician everyday and investigating what they have done. This should be interesting. It starts December 1. Then in January they are doing something really new, but they haven’t mentioned what it is. E-mail them if you have any suggestions.

B Holland   November 26th, 2009 - 4:50 pm

HAHA Keep it up , Sarah. Everything you say and everything you do keeps us all laughing. What a fool. LOL

SteveZ71   November 26th, 2009 - 5:01 pm

And I thought our liberals were looney…that women is a fruitcake. She needs to be committed!! Also by the way she sounds and acts it seems their socialized Healthcare/Drug-care rationalized with her Meds!!

B Holland   November 26th, 2009 - 5:10 pm

What’s funny isn’t the Canadian talk show host. What’s funny is S Palin falling for the prank. If you are commenting on how un funny and unconvincing the Canadian is , Palin sure thought it was all convincing enough to answer back. IDIOT! ( as usual ) But we love it !

22 minutes has a long history of speaking with americans
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_to_Americans
It’s usually quite hilarious – (to Canadians anyways)

A few examples:
- getting several Americans to say that Edmonton should be bombed.
- persuading Americans to congratulate Canada on legalizing VCRs or adopting the 24-hour day (ex-Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack was fooled by this one).
- congratulating Canada for officially joining North America.
- asking students and professors at Columbia University to sign a petition asking Canadians
- to discontinue the practice of abandoning the elderly on ice floes.
- congratulating Canada on legalizing the stapler.
- asking university students and professors to sign a petition against the Saskatchewan seal hunt and the Toronto polar bear hunt.

Ted   November 26th, 2009 - 6:02 pm

Oh…and Canada is indeed slowly but surely privatizing healthcare piece by piece. Universal Government funded healthcare has proven to be unsustainable in Canada.

Puck 30   November 26th, 2009 - 7:00 pm

Typical Liberal Rude Moron, just happans to be from a different place. Instead of waiting in line, wants to push up to the front ahead of everybody standing in line. Then acts all confused when they get thrown out for acting like a pinhead.

Other then Tub-Boy Olbermann running this piece and trading 2nd grade grade jokes with Wolffe-Boy. Nobody cares.

I should be more understanding though. This ‘Bag Lady with a mic’ might have conducted herself better but she was probably out of meds and the waiting time to get more is such a bitch in Canada.

If Canadian Govt. run healthcare is so good then why?????????

I guess it’s good if you can wait out the wait.

tickyul   November 26th, 2009 - 7:32 pm

I consider myself a independent conservative. I don’t dislike Palin and I think she got treated pretty crappy by the DemoRats and leftists. That being said, I don’t think that Palin is an itellectual or political heavyweight. Why are the Phonycons pushing this lady on us soooo hard. Just imagine her being under the DAILY stress that Bush was under, I think she would crack BIG TIME.

I don’t really have a lot of hope for this country, another Bammer term would be beyond bad. If the Phonycons get thier wish and palin runs in 2012, I think we will have another BAMMER TERM IN THE BLACK HOUSE.

foutsc   November 26th, 2009 - 7:35 pm

This one really fell flat. Palin’s answer was pretty boring and boilerplate. What’s the joke?

Canadian comedy has really fallen since the days of Second City TV…

steve   November 26th, 2009 - 8:08 pm

One reason Canada has extra cash to spend on health care is due to the fact that they don’t spend much on their military.

cecil91   November 26th, 2009 - 8:36 pm

The massive amount of attention and derision toward Sarah Palin is more curious to me than anything she has said or done. Seriously, the woman is out of office and will likely never be a viable candidate, and will probably end up as a talk show pundit on the order of Malkin and Coulter. So exactly WHAT is it about her that attracts so much hate and dissension? Can’t figure it out. BO is ripping the country down to third-world status and his plebiscite kool-aid drinkers are foaming at the mouth and snarling like wild dogs at Sarah Palin. Go figure, What a bunch of absolute no-life morons.

doug ragan   November 26th, 2009 - 8:45 pm

Is that what passes for comedy in Canada? No wonder they move to the US. They need a real doctor and a real comedian.

oldbluesboy   November 26th, 2009 - 8:50 pm

Americans are intensively searching for an honest representative. Just one. So far, its Sarah Palin.
Say what you want about her, but compared to the rest of the bums leading this country, she appears to be honest. Appears to be.

PunditPawn   November 26th, 2009 - 9:17 pm

I’m just glad that freakshow stays north of the border most of the time. Like a mini-Olbermann in drag trying to be funny.

txmike   November 26th, 2009 - 9:24 pm

Steve @ 8:08pm Perfect. And the same can be said for the UNGRATEFUL EU and for Japan as well. What do we get in return for our generosity, a scam that tries to steal wealth from the US under the guise of crap and played. Only the stupidcrats were ignorant enough to fall for it and they still do under the worthless leadership of fatboy gore and goober obama.

txmike   November 26th, 2009 - 9:36 pm

Ok let me get this right. An unhinged letwing nutbag who rushes Gov Palin’s security is dissapointed why?? That security didn’t shoot her on the spot. They would have been justified. The insincere left is just that disingenuous.

swizzle   November 26th, 2009 - 9:42 pm

she fell for the same crap during the campaign last with a radio host pretending to be the french prime minster….

not the sharpest night in the drawer.

MikeC   November 26th, 2009 - 9:43 pm

Wait a second, how was Palin tricked? She was asked a question and she gave an answer? BTW, don’t a good number of Canadians also use private clinics? Some of the folks I work for in Canada go to private clinics for more routine stuff because there is no wait. And, if I not mistaken, they have private insurance for that? Doesn’t that make it a two-tier system, one for the haves and one for the have-nots? Isn’t there also a case about the legality of this before the Canadaian Supreme Court? Sounds like some reform is needed?

MikeC   November 26th, 2009 - 9:47 pm

swizzle,

What did she fall for? I’m just am not following? for real.

MikeC   November 26th, 2009 - 9:52 pm

BHolland,

Please let us in on the joke, I’m not following? The women asked her a question and she answered….what’s the funny part?

Alex Curylo   November 26th, 2009 - 9:59 pm

Just to put Sarah’s comments in perspective, we’ve had Supreme Court decisions setting aside Québec’s ban on private medical services because the delays in the public system violate our Charter of Rights And Freedoms. See for instance

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/british-columbia/audit-of-private-medical-clinic-portends-likely-legal-showdown/article1373358/

So her advice is, well, right in line with the opinions of Canada’s finest legal minds. Of course, there are some who would say that does not necessarily exclude her from the company of fools…

tickyul November 26th, 2009 – 7:32 pm

You’re a liar… you are not conservative at all, independent or otherwise. the conservatives for Cuda are tea party type’s, the grass roots type conservatives. The phony-cons are the rinos inside deal maker’s…. they are the slow slide to a socialist country instead of the fast track of liberal progressives. And Palin does not need to be an intellectual powerhouse (we have one of those) all she needs to do is have conservative core principals and beliefs, love our country and stick to her guns. And we don’t care if Obama is black, white, brown, yellow, or pink you lying POS troll we disagree with his political views and negative veiw of our country.

Rabiddogg   November 26th, 2009 - 10:25 pm

I think that was one of the Monty Python guys pretending to be a Canadian reporter.

MikeC   November 26th, 2009 - 10:27 pm

The funny thing is that libs will take any chance to attack Sarah. It doesn’t even have to make sense…like this example. “Look she said it’s partly cloudy and everyone knows it partly sunny…..snort…snort….”

Tim   November 26th, 2009 - 11:23 pm

fulljump, you nailed it….keep calling them out.

These kinds of people have the support of the president himself. They pretend they are Republicans or Independents or Moderates but they are lefty’s all the way. They are being called upon to put fear in people about Palin in more ways then one.

Keep calling them out.

2nd: “Title of this video: Comedy show tricks palin into…”

Tricks?

I wanna watch this show now because i want to see how bad this angry Canadian is at comedy.

I can’t wait.

Static99   November 27th, 2009 - 12:33 am

Comedy in Canada must also be run by their government. It’s about as good as their healthcare…pathetic at best.

CANADIAN BEAUTY DOES EXIST - JUST NOT WITH SOME OF THEIR PEOPLE   November 27th, 2009 - 12:37 am

Calvin&Hobbes   November 27th, 2009 - 12:56 am

I don’t get it. Comedy Show Host?

Obviously she is NOT the comedian of her Comedy Show.

She must have somebody else doing the comedy on her show.

sgf2   November 27th, 2009 - 1:45 am

I didn’t get the comedy either, and I think Palin was nice enough to answer her question TWICE and this was all to make Palin look bad? Pretty rude, and IMO had the reverse effect. She came all the way from Canada for such a lame stunt? These Palin-haters really need to get a life.

checkit   November 27th, 2009 - 5:27 am

Another physco, de mon possessed liberal.

But what I found interesting, Palin actually cared to respond, and then again went way out in the dark (apperently as they were leaving to reply to the physco), So I would say a false reporter or not, Palin acknowledged her and replied.

So, I see an attempted evil twisted tactic attempt, failed.

Good job to Palin for trying to give an honest reply.

“Canada needs to reform its health care system and let the private sector take over”

Does this pinhead Palin HONESTLY not know that the US healthcare system is by far the most expensive on the planet, the only one that doesn’t cover everyone, and ranked dead LAST among all Western nations BECAUSE of the private sector having control over it? Jesus Christ! She doesn’t, does she? She’s as stupid as the voters that the GOP manipulate!

rodlang   November 27th, 2009 - 8:22 am

The person that looks like an idiot is the bimbo from Canada. Typical liberal, must have fried her brains some where along the way. And in any case, who the hell cares about Canada?

Kevin   November 27th, 2009 - 10:10 am

Sarah Palin will be a constant target much like Reagan was because she has that shining light which is threatening to many who let darkness rule their existence. “This Hour has 22 Minutes” is a CBC(Canada’s BBC equivalent)program which attempts Canadian pop culture type comedy. It’s very lame and always has an anti American slant. Canada is a great country and it’s military is sacrificing in Afghanistan with the U.S. and other allies but the extreme left has a stranglehold here and if the Marxists realize their agenda for the USA this type of insanity will be all to common.

Chuck   November 27th, 2009 - 12:00 pm

Mr B. Holland what is funny about the whole thing ? the funny thing is that she said the whole book was a bunch of lies ! that is a total fabrication by itself and I am sure she has no clue what is in the book!even the Associated press did not find any lies! Nobody ever said that !
I guess some find this phony liberal with her fabrications very funny !

N.A.   November 28th, 2009 - 7:38 am

So she thinks that Palin being “of the people” means she’s supposed to be of the Canadian people too. It looks as if Canada is part of the USA when it’s convenient, and not part of the USA when it’s inconvenient. Given to this kind of political bias, I’m sure Canadian taxes are spent well trying to convince the Canadian population of what to think and what opinions to have. It’s rather a lot like pooling all your money together and hiring a propagandist, because that’s what it takes to actually like what you have up there.

People are accusing me of being a undercover liberal. I am exactly what I say I am, an independent conservative. I really don’t care too much for either party. I think the Demorats are truly insane, and the Republirats are not much better. That being said, IF THE PHONYCONS PUT UP PALIN IN 2012 EXPECT THE BAMSTER TO HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS. Palin is a political/intellectual lightweight, she will get ripped up by the media (worse than she is now) and her Demorat opponent. So you Phonycons can blubber about all of the great stuff that Palin will do when she gets into office, but MOOSE MAMMA will never make it. Proping this lightweight up will assure another 4 years of leftist rule. I would like to see someone like Ron Paul or Jared Taylor run and win.

Oybama   December 6th, 2009 - 7:35 pm

I strained to find the humor here and then it hit me. Think of Sarah Palin as a one of a kind talking monkey and think of the host as a 1960’s drunk comedian. The host approached the talking monkey saying: “Look at the talking monkey folks. Her lips are moving but I can’t understand what she is saying..” After the talking monkey proves that she is capable of more thought than the host, the host retorts in the time honored tradition and called Palin and evil bitch. Classy bit. I think I saw it on the Planet of the Apes.

deadjournalism   December 6th, 2009 - 8:11 pm

I once was a fan of Palin when she was with McCain. I thought she was a far better politician than McCain. HOWEVER, she has turned into a train wreck. This is sick to watch. First she quits her job as Governor. Then she goes on Oprah for face time after Oprah shunned her for Obama. Who is she kidding? She is no different than all these other idiots in office. She panders to herself and only herself, but claims she’s fighting for America.

It really pains me to say this, but I will vote for Obama before Palin. I went from an ardent Palin fan to Palin enemy. She is a fraud and a phony. It’s amazing how predictable people in this country have become. You show them a little power and money and they lose all their wits.

Oybama   December 6th, 2009 - 8:40 pm

I was straining to figure out what the comedy bit was here and then it stuck me. The host is equating Palin to a talking monkey and her handlers as people who are protecting the talking monkey. I saw this bit on Planet of the Apes. I still don’t understand the part where she calls the book all lies. I would think she would have said something like: “And see, Palin claims she can write a book too?”

Fo Sho   December 6th, 2009 - 9:45 pm

What’s the big deal? Palin gave an excellent answer to the question. The skit would have been MUCH funnier if the security guard planted the smart@ss liberal comedian’s face into the pavement.

Erik Wilson   December 6th, 2009 - 9:46 pm

Mary Walsh (the “reporter” in this clip) was funny enough in her day (about 10 years ago) but she has really gone downhill. She’s way too left-wing for most people here to find her enjoyable.

Fascinating though how one lame comedian brings out such angry comments from Americans. I’d be happy for her to be locked up in a home too, but I suspect the U.S. has its share of lame comedians and wing-nuts.

John Campbell   December 7th, 2009 - 1:58 am

Interesting. It would seem that someone billed as a comedian lied by false representation and went out to intentionally try to pass themselves off as a news reporter. Mrs. Palin, being a conservative, simply answered the question with a conservative mind. After all, it matters not who asks the question so long as they are someone respectable. Then again, this would-be reporter just fabricated her presence.(A.K.A. lied) Does one call that respectable?

She, the would-be reporter, attempted to suggest that Mrs. Palin’s book was nothing but a lie. It would seem their might be a question of willful intent here. Honest mistakes is something we all make, but dishonest? This reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s interesting memory of being under fire from terrorists, among other things. Joe Biden has fabricated so much trash that the Obama administration is desperately seeking a fail-safe muzzle to fit him. Then there’s President Obama. Obama, with far less credentials than Mrs’ Palin, is billed to the U.S. citizenry as somehow not needing any questioning of his experience. Not to mention a certain birth certificate issue along with his long association with people bent on overthrowing the U.S. Constitution in favor of a socialism akin to communism. “Share the wealth”, anyone? Certainly an expose on Obama’s mentors.

Frankly, it appears to me that the so called “comedian” is a leftist nut case. It never ceases to amaze me how the left makes accusations against someone only to find out that the real guilty party is the accuser. As for Mrs. Palin’s response, spot on.

Francisco D'Anconia   December 7th, 2009 - 5:53 am

If one were to look at the setup and Mrs. Palin’s answer time, it is about 8 seconds of Mrs. Palin talking and 2:14 seconds of the comedienne talking. It would appear that the woman is not asking questions out of honesty, but to try to trick Mrs. Palin. Why not ask the classic, “Have you stopped beating your husband?” The joke is on the viewer that takes this sort of tactic seriously.

I’ve also heard it said that a fool can ask 1000 questions a wise man cannot answer.

I leave it to the reader to determine the truth of the last comment line above.
