Salt Lake Tribune: Tripping, rabbit punches and a hair take-down were all part of Brigham Young's 1-0 victory against New Mexico in Thursday's Mountain West Conference Soccer Championship semifinal.

Somebody went to those “don’t be a victim” marshall arts classes.

Good for her!   November 7th, 2009 - 1:00 pm

So why didn’t that little slut (number 7) get tossed for elbowing her in the gut? It looks like the BYU girls were playing a little close and trying to antagonize her judging from the grinning idiots.

Fang   November 7th, 2009 - 1:01 pm

More like…” we’re getting our ass handed to us I’ll act out” class.

Good for her!   November 7th, 2009 - 1:03 pm

Next time keep you elbows to yourself.

Good for her!   November 7th, 2009 - 1:05 pm

Fang,
Hey, stupid, losing 1-0 isn’t getting “our ass handed to us”. If you crowd and elbow, you pay the price.

Claire   November 7th, 2009 - 1:22 pm

“Suspended indefinately”, good call New Mexico. Elbows or no, there is no place in this sport for that obscene level of unsportsmanlike behaviour. And shame on those who applaud and justify it.

Good for her!   November 7th, 2009 - 1:27 pm

So, Claire, I was just wondering…

What was number 21 doing with her left hand before she got slam-dunked?

Rasborne   November 7th, 2009 - 1:52 pm

Mormon bashing…. but they deserved it

brunette Mormon grabbing at other girl’s crotch got taken down pretty quick lol

Cam   November 7th, 2009 - 1:54 pm

Never seen girls playing hockey wit no sticks

DJ   November 7th, 2009 - 2:06 pm

New Mexicon = ugly and bad at sports.

Larry   November 7th, 2009 - 2:38 pm

Take ur shirts off!

DontTaseMeBro   November 7th, 2009 - 3:10 pm

When I first saw this I thought the New Mexico player went too far but looking at the full tape she was also punched, elbowed, grabbed all day by multiple BYU players. She still went over the line but she was also provoked all day. That elbow looked like it hit her celiac plexus, also known as the solar plexus, which is very tender and sensitive spot in the abdomen. In sports I have been hit there before and not that it happened here but a hit in your celiac plexus can easily take your breath away.

RIchard   November 7th, 2009 - 3:21 pm

let women run the world.

myleftbrain   November 7th, 2009 - 3:48 pm

This is just a product of the trash talking and dirty tricks that our “Professional” Athletes provide as an example for all our young children. In the end it’s the Ref’s fault for not keeping the dirty play that preceded this in check. But, it’s always the one who retaliates that’s punished. If you can’t accept that it’s rampant in today’s sports, even with elementary school sports, then you shouldn’t play, that’s what I warn my children. Play and suck it up while keeping emotions in check, or quit. Sad state of athletics, but reality.

annie   November 7th, 2009 - 3:49 pm

DontTaseMeBro: If that woman had gotten elbowed in her solar plexus you’d see her in pain or at least gasping for air. She did neither. Now look at how she pulls her arm back before she punches #7 TO THE BACK. That was a hard hit and completely unfair.

Same thing for the take down. From the back and way over the line. All #21 did was tug at her shorts.

If you can’t control your aggression you shouldn’t be in the game. 15 should be banned.

Steve   November 7th, 2009 - 3:55 pm

Always beware too religious women and Arabs.

Fang   November 7th, 2009 - 3:57 pm

My my….Good For Her is soooo pasionate about this video. Three confrontational comments in such a short span. Are you related to # 15? Or maybe….that’s YOU in the video! NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

P.S. You hit like a girl. ;)

Jaws   November 7th, 2009 - 4:09 pm

WOW!

Looks like she was defending. Both times she was touched first. Don’t dish it out if you cant take it.

Peace through superior fire power.

RobbieK   November 7th, 2009 - 4:58 pm

Typical Brigham Young athletes. A-Holes! They started it and they got what they deserved.

Calvin LaBash   November 7th, 2009 - 5:17 pm

I admire #15, in the red jersey, from New Mexico. She let the Brigham Young player #7 in the white jersey know, “PDQ” that she wasn’t going to take unnecessary elbows to her chest. And she let the other Brigham Young player, #21, that two can play the pulling game, only the New Mexico player #15 plays a better game and good for her. The moral of the story is… Play fair or pay the consequences!!!

Chuck   November 7th, 2009 - 5:42 pm

Most of you who posted here obviously don’t know much about soccer and just wanted the opportunity to bash Mormons. First of all, BYU has several students who aren’t Mormons and most likely you’re the same people who make excuses for muslim suicide bombers. Go figure. Second, soccer is full of grabbing, elbows and hip checks. It’s more physical than most people think. Punching and hair grabbing is not part of the game and therefore, they were in the wrong. They were losing and so they got frustrated. I watched the game and saw that BYU was controlling the possession for most of the game. I guarantee that you can see lots of grabbing and elbowing from both sides if you actually watch the game. So quit the Mormon bashing you “so called liberals” cuz you’re really illiberal.

brent   November 7th, 2009 - 5:57 pm

UFC could use her.

brent   November 7th, 2009 - 6:02 pm

After reviewing the video I call personal foul on Number 21 and I do NOT blame number 15 for defending herself.

Bob   November 7th, 2009 - 6:07 pm

This is old. I saw this whole scene in the beginning of a porno one time. The girls start getting a little rough, with some slapping and hair-pulling, then before you know it there are the scantly clad tickle fights and chocolate syrup. Hahahahaha. Yeah, I’m a man. Deal with it you femi-nazis.

pepito cojones   November 7th, 2009 - 6:41 pm

On both occasions, she was provoked. In the first image, she got elbowed. In the second, her crotched was grabbed, Oyyyyyyy…

Terry   November 7th, 2009 - 7:13 pm

That is amazingly hot.

bagnell dammit   November 7th, 2009 - 7:43 pm

BYU players are notorious for being whiny and playing dirty. I think they (BYU players) think they can get away with it cause they are Mormon or they are virgins or some such nonsense. BYU thinks that cause they are pious they can do anything…Go playa 15

muggins   November 7th, 2009 - 8:17 pm

Pardon me while I laugh. Girl fights are kind of wimpy.

mark   November 7th, 2009 - 10:27 pm

If Bachmann had done that to Pelosi, we wouldn’t be facing government Healthcare now!

Sand   November 7th, 2009 - 11:09 pm

How did I know this was going to be religious WHITE girls doing this!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

One Person So many comments   November 8th, 2009 - 1:13 am

My how the opportunity to show what kind of bigoted clown you are… One poster with the same IP address makes a bunch of stupid remarks with different personas. What happened to you… a gay/lezbo who couldn’t get prop 8 thru or did the folks in Main show you the door. Now where’s your pony tail sos I can jerk your stupid head into the turf?

Hello???   November 8th, 2009 - 1:15 am

Anybody home?

Bigot In Da House   November 8th, 2009 - 1:16 am

Same person with same IP address making a bunch of stupid bigoted comments cause they took it in the face on prop 8???

Nattylite   November 8th, 2009 - 2:17 am

Too bad they were not playing in a big field of Jello. Now that would be awesome. And it could all be contributed to the fact that Aunt Flow may have been in town for the game. Funny and sad at the same time.

JP   November 8th, 2009 - 8:58 am

I love #15!

k train   November 9th, 2009 - 9:57 am

Chuck- Thanks for pointing that out. All BYU plyers (mormon or not) need to say is, SCOREBOARD!!

Kit   November 9th, 2009 - 12:43 pm

I would have decked BYU #7 too. You elbow like that and you’re eating cleat.

Gene   November 9th, 2009 - 1:51 pm

She is a man!

k train   November 9th, 2009 - 3:48 pm

kit- Or maybe elbow back a bit which goes on in futbol, not hair pulling. And explain the one going for the high ball that got punched and tackled. What deserved that? I think they were outmatched and they knew it and their frustration simply manifested itself in an ugly display of unsportsmanlike conduct.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS ONLY DONE DURING SEZ   November 9th, 2009 - 7:29 pm

HMMM

Roger B   November 12th, 2009 - 2:30 pm

If you look at #21 on the far side of the field jump on the back of #15’s leg (could have broken it) and then have her crotch played with by the same #21… I’d have jerked her down too. For those who think this is the sorry state the world has come to…. please…. read just a LITTLE history.

Welcome to humanity…. This is who man is. (With or without Jesus.)
