It was constantly reiterated during his 2 year campaign.

It’s just that at least 52% of voters didn’t believe it, didn’t hear it, or actually LIKED it!

Of course he was a pure Marxist in 1980. He was a Marxist in 2008, and he is one in 2010.

It is well known among conservatives and Constitutionalists that our President had the full, enthusiastic and public support of the Communist Party USA in 2008. The trouble is that, thanks to:
1. An education system that has been infiltrated an corrupted by socialists
2. News media that is largely staffed by socialist political operatives and sympathizers, and that was for years unchallenged by voices from the center or right

and

3. Popular entertainment that is overwhelmingly left-wing biased and very politically active

a lot of voters never heard the message. Or if they did, it was delivered in a manner that made it sound like simple-minded name-calling from the lunatic fringe on the far right. Even the most influential neo-conservative pundits refrained from using the “C” word when referring to Obama, caving in to political correctness, and allowing themselves to be muzzled by the left for fear of being labeled “too extreme”. And sadly, many who heard the message and believed it, simply don’t perceive communism as a threat and hence, voted for him anyway. Many on the left and in the center are totally ignorant of our system of government, and the stark differences between our Constitutional Republic and Marxism. They fail to see the danger, and the fact that socialism is wholly incompatible with the basic structure of American society and government. The result is what we have, which is a war for the survival of the Republic. And astoundingly, many Americans STILL no not recognize that we are at war, right here, on our own soil, and that our Republic, and the liberty that it guarantees, is in grave peril.

For those who doubt that it was publicly known that Obama is a communist in 2008, here are some quotes from a election pamphlet I saved from the Communists Party USA’s own website in 2008. Keep in mind that the CPUSA did not run a candidate in ‘08, and the Democrat primaries were already decided. So they refer to Obama, and no one else:

“A new day is dawning. Our country is at a turning point. This is a time of great possibility.”

“A landslide vote on November 4 can open the way to recovery from the very deep wounds of the Bush administration…”

“Help make history. Talk with co-workers, neighbors, friends and family. Volunteer to knock on doors, make calls, get on-line to turnout a landslide defeat of the Republican ultra-right on November 4, and keep the movement going.”

Like it or not, President Obama was, and is, a communist.

Wait until this creep is out of office, and I’d bet anything that this kind of story will suddenly be everywhere you look. All the things he’s had hidden — like his school transcripts and so forth — it’ll all come out after it doesn’t matter anymore.

Problem is, All of the People still supporting Obama are Marxist themselves and think that they are getting something from the Deal. Everyone in Congress Still Supporting Obama are going to get their Pockets Lined unless they wind up in Early Retirement, Prison, Gitmo or Worse.

You are right when you say that many Americans don’t know what communism is. But I think it’s unfair to attack us as “the most stupid people on the planet”, and to damn our entire population to a Dark Age of communist control. Is it really fair to blame us for allowing to the cancer of socialism to progress unchecked, when it is obvious that it has been brought to us by design in slow, incremental steps, across generations? Given that socialists have a stranglehold on our education system, our news media, our entertainment our legal system, how do you propose that American learn of the evils of socialism?

You state that it was American bankers who brought communism to Russia and Eastern Europe decades ago. Let us, for the sake of argument, accept your assertion as 100% factual. So then, does not your wish for retributive justice, by allowing this Republic to be strangled under the jackboot of these 21st century Stalinists, amount to nothing more than blood guilt? We are Americans, the sons of our fathers. Since they, (all of them presumably), brought communism to Eastern Europe, then we should pay the penalty for their crimes. Is that your position? I hope not.

Remember that there are many of us in America who still are, and have been, vehemently opposed to what has happened to our country, and are willing to die to stop it, if necessary. But our enemy is powerful, determined, entrenched, and they have a big head start on us.

But, what really surprises me is how many people were so blind that they couldn’t see thru this “transparent” individual…WITHOUT having any of this information. None of the above. He certainly hasn’t acted according to any of those ideologies, and apart of some people’s peronal beliefs and anecdotal stuff that gets repeated on talk radio and blogs, there’s no substance behind calling him any of those things.

If you want an example of a radical piece of legislation that actually was enacted, I suggest that you go back to the Patriot Act (which both parties are to blame for).

I’d call him a centrist. Based on his actions and statements as president it seems like he wants to avoid picking a strong position on any issue, but always wants to compromise in order to gain political cover. The differences between different administrations and the two major parties are quite small, and mainly has to do with details in how to go about maintaining the same overall system.
If you’ve ever spent any real time in other countries than the U.S. you’d probably be aware that both major parties in the U.S. stand far to the right of the biggest parties in most other developed nations. I live in europe. My tax rate is fine, around 20% of my mid level income. My wife had a family history of heart probelems, when she brought up her concerns she had an eeg, a CT scan, got a heart monitor to wear for a week, had numerous appointments with doctors and heart specialists and in the end can now feel good about her health and knows how to keep healthy.

How much would that cost in the US?

I grow up in Sweden and left many years agoe. Socialism is not as good as you may think and I for one do not want any part of it. The tax rate in Sweden is about 55% plus 25% sales tax on top of that. Gasoline is twice what we are paying here in the US. The favorite past time in Sweden is to avoid taxes. Many people trade favors or get payed under the table. Everybody wants the benefits but nobody wants to pay for it. Many of the brightest people are leaving the country like I did. And now Sweden is forced to let immigrants in. Many from muslim countrys. By some estimates the nativ swedes will be a minoritet by 2049. Not good for the swedes.
The health care is nothing to brag about. Long waiting lines. People who can afford it go to other countries like Germeny and paying for it them self.

Marx isn’t a bad guy, and believing in some or all his principles does not make you a bad person or a bad leader. To do so is to commit fallacy. It could be argued that socialism is “working” reasonably well for those countries who value enforced egalitarianism over freedom, opportunity and personal liberty. At my son’s school, they are now forcing kids to read the Koran. The teachers say we need to respect all religions, especially because Obama is a Muslim.
