CNN Reporter Finds Sizable ‘Dark Undercurrent’ Among Tea Party Protesters…

Hey CNN, how ’bout checking out that ‘Dark Undercurrent’ running underneath The N0bamessiah’s White House: it’s called The River Styx!

demdicks   September 13th, 2009 - 10:29 am

CNN personel need only look in a mirroe for a “dark undercurrent”, although this uncomfortable phenomena could be avoided if they would simply extract their craniums from their rectums….I’m just sayin’….

demdicks   September 13th, 2009 - 10:31 am

OK libs, hack away for my typo for mirror, but then again, these morons could look into a mirroe (whatever it may be) and pretty much get the same result.

Tubby   September 13th, 2009 - 10:35 am

Whats happening in this Republic is that the gap between the people that are self sufficient and productive is widening from the people that rely on govenrment and social programs.

My line of work requires me to visit many lower scale apartment buildings. In these apratments you have many minorities. Some are hard working good people. Many are not. Many are here illegally. Many are smoking weed. Many are single moms. Many are receiving state or federal aid. Many are taking naps at 2:30 in the afternoon. Many have tatoos on their necks. I hear their music with the “N word” repeated in it constantly. I see their pit bulls bulls in small cages in their apartments. I see a lot of afrocentric art and flags from latin american nations on the walls. I see depenency, ignorance and unassimilation.

These people and their lack of productivity and their cultural failing cost us more and more money and resources.

This protest in Washington and the entire TEA revolt is simply the people that foot the bills and pay the tab saying ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Straight Forward   September 13th, 2009 - 10:38 am

Yeah, that “dark current” you are feeling is: We don’t like or trust CNN.

We stopped liking you after you sent a newscaster that blew her lid on live television and viciously attacked a group of concerned Americans. Remember that? Oh an I see you went out and found the “plants” in the crowd again. NO ONE IN THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT WANTS THE PRESIDENT HARMED–that’s a leftist tactic. keep up the good work …

And to think, it wasn’t that long ago that CNN was the most trusted cable news network. What happened to your journalistic integrity?

CNN   September 13th, 2009 - 10:39 am

Wow. I am shocked Marxist/Commie CNN are stating that they are having a “dark undercurrent….”

They show a special about recognizing Islam and other things against the USA and christianity…

Really, I trust you to be fair and balanced and show average american citizens to be disapproving of this WH and Congress takeover of the constitutional republic?

NOT!

Bill   September 13th, 2009 - 10:40 am

State-Run Media speaks.

steve   September 13th, 2009 - 10:44 am

It doesn’t even matter what’s in the bill. The fact that they give OUR money to Acorn is enough for a protest

American dude   September 13th, 2009 - 10:52 am

Serena Williams Verbally Abuses Judge at U.S. Open For BAD CALL:

Serena Williams makes a FOUL on herself, shakes the BALL in the judge’s face and threatens to “SHOVE IT DOWN” her throat.

Hmmm…

Barack N0bama makes a FOOL of himself, shakes the BILL in the people’s face and threatens to “SHOVE IT DOWN” our throats.

Nope- there’s no similarities there.

PS- I’m sure Serena will say she should’ve “re-calibrated” her remarks…

soxs   September 13th, 2009 - 10:54 am

CNN need to go your reporting is a joke alwaysn lending to the left and reporters most are jokes if thinkk im wrong look at your ratings hell the only thing you alll are good for is to stir fear; like the excercise at Potomac!

Xbox 360   September 13th, 2009 - 10:57 am

CNN idiots. They will say anything to try and discredit the tea party movement.

Gordon Sutton   September 13th, 2009 - 11:01 am

They stayed in the bus most of the time so how do they know?

John Ziemba   September 13th, 2009 - 11:01 am

Where were these reporters when anti-Bush demonstrators were routinely telling us that Bush was going to shred the bill of rights, turn us into a fascist state, and enrich his Haliburton buddies with the blood of Iraqi babies? I guess some shades of dark are more newsworthy than others.

Kix   September 13th, 2009 - 11:01 am

As Bill said, this is nothing more than State-Run Media doing what it’s there to do; support the dictator and disparage the dissenters. We’ve seen the same type of coverage in every Communist/Socialist country on this planet in our lifetime.

If CNN was actually a news source they’d be investigating the plethora of questions and concerns the American people have for this president, his administration, and the legislators.

wingside   September 13th, 2009 - 11:03 am

Of all the nerve…………for CNN to be reporting on misinformation !!!

John Galt   September 13th, 2009 - 11:04 am

I saw this segment live yesterday. My wife and I were laughing and had to rewind over and over. These people are a joke. If they can’t find a problem, they invent one. Scary signs. People who believe Obama may be a socialist. Scary. White people speaking and carrying signs. This is a very dark undercurrent. The one lunatic they show is against the tea party people. Most likely off his meds. There was a gentleman with a AK-47. Wow. Come over here by me to Knob Creek. You’ll see a lot more than that. Or next door to Fort Knox. Tanks. Helicopters with missles. Geez. What a couple of pussies.

The crowd has a different message. A darker thing. They really, really feel the country is going the wrong direction.
Forced sterilization. Look it up. Obama adviser.
Take over the internet. Look it up. Jay Rockefeller.

But it gave him pause. Dark. Hmmm. The people are informed. Dark. Must be afraid. Pussies.

American dude   September 13th, 2009 - 11:06 am

Hey Breitbarters…Barack’s gonna be on 60 MINUTES for the 3rd time tonight!

Let’s all puke on “one”…

little fish   September 13th, 2009 - 11:08 am

This is hilarious!

Now they are editing and clipping and surely rooting out the most ridiculous quotes they can dig up.
CNN – please try again.
And this was not news this was opinion.

Much like-

Oh goodness the coast guard is under attack!

Niles Lesh   September 13th, 2009 - 11:12 am

It would seem that Jim Spelman CNN et al are concerned that a movement is being fomented beyond the control of CNN and the main stream media

This lack of information control is of grave danger to these media outlets

Once the viewing public begins to further realize that they do not need to get their information from the main stream, CNN and the others are doomed

Spelman attacks disinformation, but really means to attack alternative(to CNN) information

The “dark undercurrents” and “heaviness” that Spelman feels is really his own lack of job security…welcome to the party pal !

Regardless of the outcome of these protests, the one reality that remains is that political movements can be driven successfully outside the main stream media

Spelman attacks the concerns of the protesters specific to internet control as if it was some type of paranoid pipe dream, however the reality is that Obama just signed a bill to this effect last week

Dooh !

Danaslc   September 13th, 2009 - 11:22 am

How much is CNN being paid or how much are they being threatened to report this? CNN is in the toilet. Something must be going on there. I am sure they don’t want the ratings to tank anymore. Where is the threat coming from? That may be something we want to look at also.

Terry   September 13th, 2009 - 11:24 am

Dark undercurrent?.. they must have been at the wrong gathering.. a liberal one perhaps.. these were good Americans making their voices heard.. The general media should be ashamed.. one consolation is that all the liberal media is hurting, thanks to their management’s stupidity, and refusal to report the truth about what is happening in the country.

BJC   September 13th, 2009 - 11:29 am

Didn’t hear CNN report on the undercurrent at Obambi’s innauguration as the rappers slammed the white man and screamed how the black man is in control now. Na, no undercurrent there Cult News Now.

Well said tubby.. one of the best pieces of commentary i have seen in some time.. keep up the good work mate.

racist   September 13th, 2009 - 11:35 am

the dark undercurrent they see is,they are getting flushed down the toilet with the rst of the commie media in this country

Robert   September 13th, 2009 - 11:38 am

Has cnn turned into the onion?

What's CNN   September 13th, 2009 - 11:47 am

No different than the norm for CNN. Anyone who watches CNN for a source of accurate news is already biased enough to twist the facts the same way CNN did here. They see it however they want to see it and report it through their bias…what a joke.

Michelle O. Bama   September 13th, 2009 - 11:47 am

Whitey must pay! – just axse my husband.

Phocus   September 13th, 2009 - 11:51 am

As CNN sinks slowly to the bottom of the cable market bowl, bouncing occasionally off an earlier MSNBC deposit, Fox News continues to inform and prosper. CNN and MSNBC have taken on a cartoonlike quality that is at the moment entertaining, but totally lacking in credibility.

Michelle O. Bama   September 13th, 2009 - 11:52 am

Read my Thesis – it explains everythang.

tamm1   September 13th, 2009 - 12:13 pm

CNN, why no “undercurrent” reporting at the Black Panther voter intimidation at polling places?
Why no reporting on N.E.A. federally funded leftist propaganda?
Why no reporting on 1.2 million attendees vs. 10,000 in Minneapolis for Pres. Obama?
Why no reporting on ACORN’s $4 billion of taxpayers monies used on pimping underaged children?
Why the incredible leftist bias over/over/over again…..where are you “Fair and Balanced” instead, you are the most DisTrusted name in news.

Travis   September 13th, 2009 - 12:15 pm

The only Dark Undercurrent is coming out of the White House.

DWB   September 13th, 2009 - 12:22 pm

There must be miles of trashed video tape on the floor to get a clip that’s so one sided.

Alvin   September 13th, 2009 - 12:22 pm

Tubby – you are spot on with your comment about the real problem being the lack of productivity and the cultural failure of a
certain segment of society being a major problem. Taking your observation a step further, politicians know human nature. They know
that many people will suck up resources with their idle ways. By the time the 2nd generation comes along, it is a way of life and
these people know no better, they know no other way of life.

Thus I blame the politicians who have created this mess. They create dependencies and buy people’s votes with our tax dollars so
they can stay in power. On a personal level I know many such people and when I step back, I feel compassion for them. These
dependencies are difficult to break out of. Shame on the politicians for creating the dependencies and shame on them and the media
for demonizing those of us who want to have a society where people need to work for what they have.

Same applies to illegal immigrants. I can’t blame someone for coming to this country in the hopes of creating a better life for
themselves and their families. But shame on our politicians for allowing them to break the law, take jobs away from our citizens,
and give them free health care, social security, and other benefits – placing the burden on our backs.

Frankly   September 13th, 2009 - 12:22 pm

Perfect example of why five minutes of watching is CNN is fives minutes waisted that you’ll never get back. They would NEVER in a million years make such a comment about some liberal protest.

Michelle Obama II   September 13th, 2009 - 12:33 pm

Have you ever noticed I look like the predator with its mask off? Its da troof, my baby daddy said so…. :)

Gandhi's Fist   September 13th, 2009 - 12:38 pm

Dark tone? Dark undercurrent? The only example I see of that is from CNN itself. The protesters were forthright about what they didn’t like–namely–government socialism, redistribution of wealth, and political corruption.

The dems have been given notice. We can only pray they don’t take heed. This ought to pretty much insure a decade of conservative sanity. Just enough time to address Obama’s mess.

Remember, don’t vote republican or democrat, vote for the actual conservative.

Infantryman   September 13th, 2009 - 12:48 pm

Ive noticed since January CNN basically covers nothing but african american topics. Every other night is a ” BLACK IN AMERICA ” special. Am I just imagining things or do you guys see it too ?

HA HA HA, WHAT A JOKE!   September 13th, 2009 - 1:01 pm

A bunch of middle age, middle income, generally fiscally conservative regular Americans….ARE A DARK UNDERCURRENT?

THE *DARK UNDERCURRENT* LIES WITH THE CRIMINALS AND COMMUNISTS IN GOVERNMENT! LOOK AT OBAMA AND HIS CHICAGO THUGS, THE

CONGRESS AND THEIR *GET RICHER* SCHEMES! HE CNN TROLL, LOOK AT THE WHITE HOUSE AND SPEW YOUR ANTI-AMERICAN HATE!

Swac Girl   September 13th, 2009 - 1:01 pm

Dark undercurrent? Nah! Those Alaskans and Texans threatening to secede from the US are just fine upstanding citizens.
Keep on listening to Glenn, the Alcoholic Mormon, Beck who hears the walls at Rockefeller Center talking to him. Waaah! I don’t want to be a socialist. Oh, how sad that you’ve been completely brainwashed and can’t see that those Farm Subsidies, the corporate welfare policies that allow companies to form dummy corporations in Bermuda to avoid taxes, are extremely supported by REPUBLICANS!
The Bush “Ownership Society” was nothing but a gift to big business to unburden them from any benefits and force YOU to pay for all of your own health care and retirement. I’ll bet not one of you ever stopped to consider that the company that currently helps to pay those benefits was never going to compensate you in salary for the amount they were paying. Consider how much your company contributes to your health, vision, dental, life, retirement and disability and how much it would cost you to provide all of that on your own at individual rates. Bush the ‘tard said, “Heh, ownership society is good ’cause it’s good to own stuff.” More like it’s your problem now and you own it (and you people are too stupid to realize it).

Audrey   September 13th, 2009 - 1:02 pm

That reporter is such a supporter of Obama that there is no way that he can be objective. When you have a reporter/anchor that is so biased there is no way that they should be on TV. Most of the reporters on CNN look at all situations through their bias lens and then talk about them that way. They are not as bad as MSNBC but close second. That is why their ratings numbers are down.

H2K   September 13th, 2009 - 1:12 pm

The only “dark undercurrent” I saw recently was ACORN trying to enable child prostitution in Baltimore and DC.

But then again, maybe I didn’t see that on CNN.

tom   September 13th, 2009 - 1:29 pm

I wish I had been there to buy all the wonderful protesters a cup.

Thanks to your dedicated efforts;

Socialism has been eliminated from our great country! No more Amtrak, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Tennessee Valley Authority, crop or commidity subsidies. The financial institutions and auto makers must immediately return taxpayer bailouts and go out of business as they should have done. The death panels are gone, concentration camps are being dismantled, siezed weapons being returned, all troops returning from overseas, conservative talk show hosts are again safe from the fairness doctrine, all illegal aliens have been ousted, the size of government is diminished and federal spending vastly reduced.

GREAT JOB!

T   September 13th, 2009 - 2:04 pm

I can just feel the tingles running up all their legs–almost as if it were my own–cnn..you’ve turned yourselves into the latest media joke–only we’re laughing at you..not with you

“Dark Undercurrent” That must be the new official BUZZWORD from the dimocRAT National Committee that CNN has been told to use in every story about TEA PARTIES.

I can hear Mr TeaBagger Cooper now saying “if I close one eye the crowd only looks half as big, is that a good thing?”

Chris Matthews   September 13th, 2009 - 3:34 pm

Oooooooohhh! What hard hitting journalism!
These idiots make Dan Rather look like a reporting genius. In fact, they make Joe Biden look like a genius. If Barney Frank was standing next to them, he would look straight.

HEY, LEMON: Americans are NOT interested in the fact that you have some kind of psychological hangup about your racial heritage. Either report the news, or get off the air!

What about the dark undercurrent when those on the left were loudly and furiously protesting Bush and calling him a Nazi? Rr democratic congressman/women booing and catcalling Bush (who I am not fan of btw) during his state of the union address in ‘05? No, they were considered patriotic dissenters utilizing their first amendment rights by both the “mainstream” media as well as the same politicians (Pelosi being the most obvious) who are now calling THESE “tea party” dissenters Nazis, unruly, possessing a dark undercurrent, etc. Makes me sick. As someone born in the Soviet Union it appalls me to see US politicians, a majority of the media, and a sizable portion of our population use the same tactics and repeat the same propaganda as the apparatchiks from my country of birth. They are indeed what Lenin himself called these fools from the West: Useful Idiots.
