Only racist blacks hate him.

According to Emanuel and Ogoober this is valid news ?? Both of these media hacks claim that Rush has made thousands of improper statements yet they do not give one valid example. They also claim that Rush is just getting his own medicine yet Rush does not base his concerns on LIES like CNN and this other media hack did. Seems to me that they are just doing a puff piece for themselves in an attempt to avoid well deserved litigation.

lavoce   October 18th, 2009 - 2:47 pm

No. Rush did not put himself out there. Checkett’s and Limbaugh’s names were the only two names that were leaked, out of the “groups” that were bidding. Why weren’t members of all news media – including the “State-run media” making inquiries into this?

When the pressure was put on by “Xxxxxx”, Checkett’s caved, and dumped Limbaugh.

It now becomes obvious as to why:

The false wikipedia entries, regarding Rush, lead us to a Law firm where we find an attorney who is not only associated with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, but who also donated a significant amount of “uh – dollars” to Barry Soetoro aka/alias Barack Hussein Obama’s Presidential Campaign.

So now – there’s graft, and a bit of a stench in the NFL, isn’t there? eh?

Rush Limbaugh, I’M PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM! “S-A-L-U-T-E!”

That is really sad from my perspective. I wish black people didn’t buy into the notion that they are so helpless. If they believed they could improve their own plight and their own communities, that would indeed create an America so strong and so at peace we truely would be as close to perfection as worldly possible. But the leaders of the black community and white elites have an enormous amount invested in black people being disinfranchised with our system. I prey one day they will see through liberal pandering and enjoy the prosparity that so many of us have enjoyed by reling on ourselves and our family.

That probably makes me a racist in this day and age.

Righties are inbred   October 18th, 2009 - 2:58 pm

He’s also reviled by most white people… so what’s the point?

Robert   October 18th, 2009 - 3:03 pm

Wouldnt it be nice to spend days on peddling a lie and then days later spend 15 seconds explaining that the material you used was made up?

Yes, he is reviled by blacks because he speaks the truth and is one of the few who speaks for the white people.

don’t black people want the truth? even about Rush? he is ALWAYS mocking– either himself, or some leftist spin or news anchor or politician — always mocking — TO MAKE A POINT — don’t blacks want truth? aren’t they able to recognize humor? I guarantee the ones who don’t like him have never listened to him, have never tried — he’s been on the radio for over 20 years and the leftist black liberation leaders and race mongers have been after him from the start. nothing more — nothing less — if blacks don’t want the truth, that is their own problem. These statements were LIES — doesn’t that matter more than their own misunderstanding of Rush’s style? they should want the truth.

quivive   October 18th, 2009 - 3:36 pm

This email is to notify you that I will no longer watch ESPN until you fire the ignorant commentator Michael Wilborn. It is inexcusable to make such defamatory remark about anyone without backing them up with facts. Michael Wilburn is contributing to the degradation of our society. I would think ESPN does not want its name sullied by such an individual.

I love how the media accepts the premise that race shouldn’t matter, then seeks out the opinion of ONLY BLACKS on this matter as if they have some sort of veto.

phlogiston   October 18th, 2009 - 4:14 pm

Limbaugh has “class.” Those acquainted with horses recognize the effects of breeding on the performance of the animal.

Limbaugh is accused of “racism,” which is a nebulous term whose semantic cachet has been greatly reduced by inappropriate use. Currently, “racism,” racist,” etc. are forensic terms used to gain advantage in debate as their recent use is meant to divert attention from argument, the contretemps, and direct it to the appropriateness of use of the term in a particular context. “Racism” was used to disparage a person, or an idea rather than identify and address specific points that might be at issue. It is intended to terminate debate and cause the user of the term to prevail.

“Racism?” What particularly is the person suggesting is “bad” in regard to the position or person so designated?

The allegations made regarding Limbaugh have metamorphisized into their own excuse for being with most of them being false concoctions that have established themselves as valid for many people because of their constant repetition.

What does remain is Limbaugh’s disparagement of the race hustlers Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al sharpton, two rather unsavory characters who have found niches for themselves stirring up and capitalizing on racial antagonism.

And Limbaugh observed that in the Quarterback McNabb was a journeyman but did not possess the extraordinary aptitude attributed to him by a media attempting to elevate the perception of the level of performance of a black quarterback to enhance the black image. It was the media rather than McNabb whose integrity was rightfully impugned as they acted based on racial incentives, providing misleading analysis to their audiences. The other scenario involved Limbaugh’s use of “Barack the Magic Negro” which lampooned the Rev. Sharpton, while identifying the lack of experience and accomplishment of Obama, whose ascent to the Presidency was facilitated by black racial bloc voting.

But in the past, any allegation of “racism,” anything that distinguished blacks, was perceived as negative. So the observation that black athletes predominated in some sports because of genetic heritage conferring superior physical ability was sufficient to end the careers of people, who were in the vanguard in securing the participation of blacks in the highly remunerative professional sports field from which they were previously excluded. I suppose that the observation that “Watusi are tall” would be denominated as “racist” by some as it distinguishes “blacks” because of a genetic factor. Well, ease up. Watusi are taller than most other groups of people. Oops. The Watusi are not negroid but are Nilotic, or Hamitic. But that doesn’t matter. It’s still “racist” and “a slur,” although how it is a slur requires some explanation.

Explanation? People using the epithet “racist” as a control factor need not in their world view explain how the use of the word as a semantic device is in any way applicable or derogatory. “Racist” is its own excuse for being. The zeitgesit, however, is changing. And the introduction of “racist” into a discussion is eliciting the response, “So?”

Barkoff   October 18th, 2009 - 4:16 pm

But once again this journalist continue to speak of hundreds, thousands of comments Rush Limbaugh has insulted blacks with, but yet once again offer NOT ONE EXAMPLE of which he speaks. Sure, I don’t doubt the black continuity reviles Limbaugh, it only depends on where they get their description of his show, no doubt all of which is liberal and object to Limbaugh in general.

Tell me I’m wrong in assuming this guy is a liberal democrat, that’s the issue, not an issue of race. Race is just the tool.

elizabethrc   October 18th, 2009 - 4:17 pm

Blacks don’t want to know the truth. They want to twist everything to make themselves seem like victims. That day is long over and they’re not going to get apologies that aren’t needed.
If blacks can’t take Rush telling things like they are, they have the option of not listening to him.
And I hope Rush sues that ugly little frog, Sharpton, for everything he’s got. That stupid little piece of garbage has taken up too much air time already, and if that’s the best blacks can do, they’re never gonna get ahead. Try harder.

peter c   October 18th, 2009 - 4:17 pm

This ESPN Creep is racist just by saying ALL Bl@cks Revile Rush…What…did he talk to every Bl@ck in America?

Rush’s sidekick….Snidely… is a Bl@ck man! He never said these things all these CNN ,MSNBC etc..lying creep racists said he said…And now they refuse to apologize!! This just shows how racist These low-lifes are…Sharpton..who was found guilty in court of race baiting…and still refuses to pay the fines…who condemned the Duke boys…and never retracted it…J.Jackson the same…These guy guys should be the LAST to talk about someone else’s mindsets.

The entire LEFT in this country are showing their h@te every day now.,..The care not about anyone’s Constitutional Rights…of Free Speech….or Owning guns for protection….to assemble…for the Pursuit of Happiness.

Rush is a victim of this h@te…But he will not act like a victim…like the entire Left constantly do.

iloveamerica   October 18th, 2009 - 5:15 pm

I’m so sick of these race baiting buttholes speaking for their rears I don’t know what to do. I love Rush and have for years because he tells the truth and we believe in the same things for this country. It’s the Al Sharpton’s, Jesse Jackson’s and Barry O’s of the world that lie to the black community and do so to keep them held down. They believe in ignorance, intolerance and lying to them as a way to promote themselves. The idea that black people think and speak with one mind just shows how stupid and ignorant this guy really is.

Gandhi's Fist   October 18th, 2009 - 5:28 pm

Rush, you’ve got to get a team of lawyers to own these guys. Sue for losses related to the sale and potential profit. Should amount to a very tidy sum.

By the way, reliable sources didn’t even get the basic facts in this case right. For example, Rush didn’t withdraw his bid, he was summarily dropped by the financial group that was making the bid, due to this fictitious controversy.

Also, notice that the “guest” doesn’t mention a single racist thing Rush said to qualify his commentary. Not a single syllable. Looks like this guest is a racist.

give me a break   October 18th, 2009 - 5:40 pm

there are a whole lot of black racist everybody knows it but nobody talks about it. the black racist in America have been hiding in the shadows long enough. they get away with being raciest because the MSM won’t cover them, it’s past time to drag the black Racist and their cohorts out into the light of day. with the MSM following Rush 24/7 could be it was Rush’s plan all along to be a part owner of a NFL team just to watch the Racist expose them selves as such. rope a dope!

Here’s the thing:

YOUNG people tend to be LIBERAL, then as they mature and age, they USUALLY tend to become more CONSERVATIVE. It’s a ‘DEVELOPMENTAL’ THING.

However, in America, in recent decades, a LOT of people are FAILING TO MATURE and are RETAINING their youthful, naive LIBERAL mindsets, to the detriment of our entire society. This amounts to a KIND OF “ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT” OCCURRING IN OUR COUNTRY AND INDEED IN MANY PLACES ACROSS THE GLOBE. A scary and worrisome trend, and NOTHING GOOD can come from having so many people on our planet who are FAILING TO MATURE and DEAL WITH REALITY. As anyone can see, when these arrested-development cases cannot have “their way,” they tend to ACT UP like 2-year-old toddlers. No, this is not a healthy trend for our country or the world in general.

Time to GROW UP and stop throwing TANTRUMS because life is “NOT FAIR” and does not conform to idealistic, youthful DEMANDS.

R.M.   October 18th, 2009 - 7:02 pm

For God sakes, Wilbon, Give us just ONE of the thousands of quotes you are alleging Rush said that would imply he’s a bigot. Please, just one.

“I can’t sit and tell you specifics”
“I am not going to sit there and verify everything that is said”

“let’s not make it seem like Rush has not insulted black people for years and years and years…”millions of black people know this”

“[Rush's comment regarding McNabb] is not in the top 300 things I would object to or find objectionable that Rush had said about someone of African American decent”…”Probably not in the top 1000 things”.

Nick57   October 18th, 2009 - 7:19 pm

Well, there goes PTI for me. Wilbon is a moron. He has never listened to Limbaugh. If he ever has, he wouldn’t have said what he did. A major disappointment from Wilbon. I thought he was an intelligent man. My bad!

Black and Right   October 18th, 2009 - 7:32 pm

Okay as a black man I have been sickened by this mindless calvalcade of stupidity that is dragging all of us into their hell. Sharpton, Jackson, Wilbon and the list of poverty pimps who lock us into some hive mentality are the problem and could care less about the solutions.
Rush has said several things that are racist but I cant name any and havent a clue to any real facts on what he said but im sure he is racist because I read it in a book or online somewhere and MILLIONS? of blacks agree with me. Really is this Journalism or what?

I am a black man I am also a conservative and very proud of my AMERICAN heritage. I am not African American I am black, people from Kenya like our Noble Peace Prize winning Resident of the United States is African American.

I miss GWB so much at least he knew what he was doing I felt safe and the grownups were in charge and now we have someone whining about Fox News and how mean they are but ignoring the Taliban and Al Queda. Now that says alot about Limbaugh!

Ted in Japan   October 18th, 2009 - 9:04 pm

Okay, so this loser Wilbon attacks Rush with the claim that he is “universally reviled by black people”. But this begs the question: Can we trust the validity and sincerity of what he or any black person says? I mean, it’s clear that black people must pass certain tests in order to be classified as “real black people”. They must regurgitate the politically correct line that Rush is a racist. But what happens to those who dare to break free from these chains…like say, a Bill Cosby or a Juan Williams? They are vilified as Uncle Toms and dismissed with deeply hurtful insults like, “go back to the porch”.

Black people in America are subject to the same types of tyranny that captive peoples live under. When Palestinians burn the American flag, they aren’t exercizing free speech. They are toeing the line drawn by the tyrants who run their lives. Just imagine what would happen to them if they were to wave the U.S. flag and praise America. They would be carted off and never heard from again. Wilbon is like that. He’s either hopelessly brainwashed or fearful of being called an Uncle Tom or a race traitor. He must toe the Leftist racist line or face retribution. In either case, his words and opinions are rendered suspect. In short, he is an “unreliable source” which means “Howie” might have to change the name of his show.

MARK CIRA   October 18th, 2009 - 9:57 pm

idiot… I have listened to rush on and off for 20years, and never heard him be racisit. I heard this sports writer base comments on race over and over in one interview. You must prove the viciousness of the loonie left to those Americans who are believing this lie about you!

You must prove in court your innocence and that they have maliciously maligned you with lies!

he’s so “hated” he’s the #1 radio talk show host in America. Keep telling yourselves everyone hate him. Just because you can’t argue Rush on the issues doesn’t mean you should resort to calling him names. Is beyond pathetic.

The libtards like Olberman can easily be talked down on the issues, but they don’t listen to the truth no matter how hard it hits them in the head.

RL   October 18th, 2009 - 11:26 pm

First of all, in order to be African-American you must be born in Africa. And as we can plainly see this man was NOT born in Africa. I believe that true Africans are emmbarrased by these American-born citizens claiming what they are not. The racists on ESPN have openly come out and opened a new round of debate as to who the real racists are in this country

FastFacts   October 19th, 2009 - 5:33 am

It is true by a lot of black’s that they think he is a racist, definitely not all and definitely not universal but a large majority because of the main stream media. I eat dinner with a black family every Sunday and you don’t mention his name but if you look at those that like Rush who are black, there are tens of thousands. Even some NFL players have quietly come out with their lack of concern that he would be an owner. I think this guy has other reasons that he wants to attack Rush. I love how there is still really no heart felt apology. See the whole story on http://www.americanparchment.com/archive/2009/oct/oct_17_2009.html.

Michael Wilbon Kills Innocent Little Children   October 19th, 2009 - 8:11 am

Yeah, he sure does. He’s a cold blooded killer. He admitted it time and time again. Little boys and girls universally fear him.

I can’t tell you how many, or give you any names, but he is reviled by millions.

Is having no evidence a problem?

Is the unsupported libelous statement a journalistic “no-no”?

Oh, then let me embellish on that again.

Michael Wilbon has killed thousands of children.

(See what I did there, CNN, ESPN and MSNBC?
Its called satire. I used it to prove a point.)

Liz`   October 19th, 2009 - 9:14 am

I am hispanic of a conservative point of view maily since Hispanics are religious and hard working and I agree with Rush in what convervatism is and anyone that listens to him understand he wants Americans to do well no matter what unlike our President!

John Campbell   October 19th, 2009 - 9:15 am

I’ve listened to Rush for over 20+ years including his one year of the Rush TV show which I do sorely miss. In that time I’ve not heard one racist attitude uttered from Rush Limbaugh. Call me what you will. Attack the messenger. At least I actually listen to his show.

Call me a racist? Go ahead. Name calling when it comes to political views seems to be the popular thing these days. Don’t like the facts? Label the messenger a racist. Well, here’s the facts.

Inner city blacks have purposely been the targets of communists/socialists since the late 50’s, early 60’s. Look it up for yourself. Don’t believe me. I just happened to live through much of it, but what does that matter? Right? The now open and available archives of the former Soviet Union shows exactly how they inserted and infiltrated the public education system. At the time no one would believe it in spite of the facts. Today it’s available information, but you’re not supposed to look at it because only a nut case would suggest it even though it’s a matter of historical record from at least two nations. The purpose was to facilitate an uprising, culminating in an overthrow of the United States from within. Remember Stalin’s promise to take the United States without firing a shot? It started in the public education system with the infiltration of communist professors in colleges who taught future teachers, who in turn sent their indoctrinated students on to college and early on it was often times to the very college professors who had originally taught the now indoctrinated school teachers. Any wonder why the NEA advocates the things that it does? Some of those professors are still alive today.

It’s not the fault of the inner city blacks, as well as people from all walks of life that were indoctrinated as well. They just happened to be one grouping of many and in this case race was the bait and switch used. Today it’s manifested itself as a result and we see it in today’s politics. Don’t agree with the socialist ideology? You must be a racist. Speak out against socialism/communism or speak out identifying communist or fascist methodology? You must be a racist.

The fact that not all blacks were indoctrinated with this method is prevalent everywhere, but the ones we hear from are the ones the press loves to promote. You don’t hear anything from the press from blacks who made good on good old fashion American values and principles. Instead you get lies and false accusations. Anything to condemn the black man or woman who doesn’t go along with the socialist ideology. They care not who they hurt nor how. “The ends justifies the means”.

JC Watts, Alan Keys, Supreme Court Justice Clarance Thomas (my favorite Justice), Walter Williams (George Mason University) and on and on and on. No, you’ll hear nothing of people like these unless it’s in condemnation because they won’t tow the socialist line.

Hopefully people will wake up to this socialist onslaught before it’s too late. Before Liberty and Freedom are things of the past.

Rush has said some racial things about the NFL including “the Nfl is like a gang war between the crips and the bloods.” I am sure you crazy conservatives do not see that as racist. Maybe if you got a college education, like the majority of liberals, you would understand how racist that statment is.

“Rush’s producer is black…”

Obama’s mom was white.

WTF!! Did Rush buy breitbarf? I can’t believe people are still here whining about Rush and the NFL.

Most NFL owners are to the right of Dick Cheney. Over twenty years, officials on twenty-three of the thirty-two NFL clubs have donated more money to Republicans than Democrats.”
It’s not in the constitution that you have a right to own a NFL team.I guess business owners can’t chose who they want for partners.

Yes, it’s true, blacks on the white Liberal plantation hate Rush.

Sure Rush is a racist. That’s why he has Walter Williams often fill in for him when he is gone. Dr. Williams has given “Proclamation of Amnesty and Pardon Granted to All Persons of European Descent” see:(http://economics.gmu.edu/wew/gift.html). But it’s all a cover for racism! Before he was as famous as he is now, I met Williams when he was giving a radio interview while I happened to stop at the radio station. During a news break, Walter was introduced to me and the two of us went out on the loading dock to smoke a cigarette (yikes-tobacco smoke!). In those few minutes I became bonded with the man and realized we were kindred souls differing only by skin tone and his brown eyes and my blue eyes.

The very idea that Wilbon and Rush are somehow voices for mainstream blacks and whites is so far out there to even consider. Most dark skinned folks I know are just like me (pink skin) and don’t really need a “leader”, nor a political “voice”. All utter nonsense.

Hahaha! Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson are SO yesterday. (eyes rolling).

Actually, Rush Limbaugh is very respected, here and overseas. He is what a true American patriot is to people.

[...] echo chamber is promulgating that meme quite nicely—reporting fabricated quotes as facts, and wondering aloud whether Limbaugh is a genuine bigot, or just plays one on the radio.  (Shame on Michael Wilbon, of [...]
