I highly doubt that the Coast Guard was running a training exercise in Washington, DC on the morning of 9/11.

Either the Coast Guard is lying or they are incompetent. Why would you run a training in Washington DC on 9/11 by a bridge that the president was crossing? That is a time and a place where you need vigilance not distractions. Who would schedule a training at a time and a place when the security should be highest. That would be like scheduling a secret service training during one of the president’s speeches. I am not a conspiracy theorist but I am a critical thinker and this just doesn’t make sense.

Like any public service or military, we don’t stop training for holidays,
memorial servicesand sad to say 9/11 either. Not to take away from the memory of
those that lost their lives but the military, police officers, firmen, and
other public servants continue to preform the job as time stops for some. Our motto
is train as you fight, fight as you train. There should be no difference in the
two. Those suggesting it was somehow dumb of the Coast Guard to schedule
training on this day just doesn’t realize that terrorism and crime doesn’t call
in sick or take a day off so we can remember those we lost. Today is exactly the
kind of day to be ready and no better way than conducting training exercises to be
on the ready for anything that may arise.

That’s funny, all of a sudden the media has to pick on the military, of course, ‘They are evil war mongers, right’ That is not the problem with this story. It’s the fact that CNN heard this over the radio, and without any investigation, they reported it. Sending the President into panic mode and every American in the US wondering if this was another attack. And the fact that it was a scare on such an important day. I saw the story when it was first reported on http://www.americanparchment.com. Then a few minutes later I looked back and the story had completely changed. The WH was attacking CNN for such a dumb move not to investigate it. Interesting, the only ones to report on this story, when CNN first made the mistake, was international news sources who had to rely on our media. Everyone else started an investigation. CNN should be ashamed of themselves.
America…it is not the one who gets the news out “first”…it is the one who waits and gets the “truth” out!
