I don’t think Obama’s Hope and Change is selling anyone anymore. His polls are going down, he is being reported by the main stream media to be a liar, Congress is calling him a liar. The publicity was not good and Michelle saying that she sacrificed to come over to Copenhagen, didn’t go over very good with the people. Imagine here is a woman, who flys on AFII, people wait on her hand and foot; she goes on shopping tours and she talks about the “children” and how she sacrificed to fly over to Copenhagen…….what a farce..This was lobbying for their political pals in Chicago who would get very rich..so people are not impressed anymore…The shine is off the rose. Is he going to blame Bush for this rejection? I am sure they will find a way.
If America was as Imperial as the ignorant leftists like to claim we would see an American flag flying over most of the civilized world today. That is not the case.

Ok it just happened again. Just as I was navigating to another page a text ad caught my eye in my peripheral vision that I would have liked to click. When I navigated back to click it, the ad was gone, replaced with another ad for something I am not one bit interested in. I tried refreshing the page and a whole lot of other things to try to see that one ad again, but it was gone, gone, gone. I find this happens all the time with Internet ads. There one second, forever gone the next. I wonder how many clicks are lost that way. Maybe each site should have an ad archive page of the ads that they are running on a particular day so if we miss them, we can find them again.

Racer – Brasil will never be a monument to anything but a failed state. Over one million live in the slums in and around Rio. Many belong to gangs that come out at night and take control of much of the surrounding areas. Areas the police are afraid to go into and do not enter. The police pay off the gangs and the politicians stay clear of the slums. The homeless children run with abandon, pick pocketing, the kidnappings and ransom demands have escalated, the corruption throughout the government from Lula down to the local police. The economy may well do well, but the poor are poor, the gangs are still in control, and death is the only certainty for most of the people. Brazil is spending billions on submarines and nuclear – while the poorest are still stealing and killing, robbing, and kidnapping. When foreigners begin landing in Rio – it will be a massacre in the sense of what people will be walking in to.
The IOC is politically driven. They are fully aware Chicago could put on a better Olympics, but the anti-American sentiment that existed in the past and was blamed on Bush, still exists, only now they are not defining it as much … just ignoring the reality. It was easy in years past to blame Bush because everyone was blaming him, and liberals here and in Europe played on it, fed off it … the anti-American sentiment is their jealousy and bitterness, not a sense of pride in standing up to imperialism or to the US actions or any such thing. There has never been a group of racists gathered in one place with more ferocity than the IOC unless it was a Klan meeting in 1900. They say many things.

The Olympics have little to do with diversity and more to do with who can put on a fabulous show and how best to balance ‘power’ – Europe, Asia, South America … each gets to take turns, allowing the little people (like racer and Brasil) to feel like they have made it into the big leagues. They will, by 2017, regret the decision. The dicotomy in Brasil is so stark, as to make you ashamed to have anything … which doesn’t bother Brasilians. It will bother Euros who have sensibilities.

Did you know that Brazile was the last country with legalized slavery? They didn’t abolish it till the late 1800’s. THE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE DIDN’T REJECT CHICAGO OR PRESIDENT OBAMA
The governments and cultures of the civilized world rejected what has been going on and what continues to go on in the United States of America.
They made the judgment that the rancorous class warfare and social injustices, the lunatic fringe hatreds and insanities, the acquiescent validation of self-absorbed politicians and mercenary news conglomerates of the politics of greed, fear and hatred, and the blatant political, moral and intellectual hypocrisies of far too many Americans does not merit reward but deserves rejection.
America’s current moral and ethical deficiencies were rejected by people from countries much older than ours who see the invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan as rank Imperialism. Who see America’s use of torture as morally indefensible and deliberate violations of the Geneva Convention Treaties. Who see the continued defense of those who formulated, instigated and executed torture as government policy as being immoral, unethical, unjust and unacceptable.
Until more Americans vociferously reject the crimes against humanity that people in the Bush administration perpetrated and that the Obama administration is complicity defending by failing to investigate those crimes and hold those people accountable, the rest of the world is going to hold the people of America accountable for what our government did as well as what it is failing to do.
I believe the rest of the world isn’t blind to what many Americans don’t want to see.
