I am clearly in the minority here, and probably opening myself to attack. But Jackson-Lee’s explanation of the phone call seems entirely plausible. Rather than baiting her live on-air, Sanchez could have done a respectable job of reporting by making contact with the woman in question (the “cancer survivor”) and getting her take on the matter.

Believe me, I am dead set against any changes in health care/insurance in the USA that do not begin with tort reform. And I am delighted to see my fellow citizens finally waking up, taking to the streets and demanding that the elected officials actually listen.

But I don’t think Sanchez served any useful purpose with this interview, other than stoking his own anger and ego.
