All women should be hosed down in the back yard and then see what’s left. Then, and only then, can you see if she is a woman or not.

This bag looks like a pony with her weave.

cecil   June 4th, 2010 - 2:28 pm

Women say the reverse sort of thing about men all the time with impunity. Men just sit there and take it. If women hope to be equal to men, they should not take offense to politically incorrect jibes.

OK. You people are being morons. Don’t put words into her mouth, she reacted quite well considering how offensive he was being. Not just that, but what he said is not acceptable for TV, news or not.

As for Political Correctness, that has nothing to do with this. Political Correctness, simply put, means ‘being on the side of the government, or those who are in power’ — a Communist term, with origins in the Soviet Union. You don’t know that? Sad.

This is a matter of respect, which he showed none. Most of you are being rather disrespectful too.

Notasportsfan   June 4th, 2010 - 2:56 pm

I am not a fan of sports. My wife on the other hand, played basketball in high school. She knows who is playing on all the baseball teams and
loves watching and screaming at the teams (baseball, basketball) when they play. I can hear her from my office. She was furious at the ref for the bad call. Don’t lump all women into one category.

….and men shouldn’t be kindergarten teachers!

Can’t we admit that women and men ARE DIFFERENT?

Women shouldn’t be uniformed cops, front-line soldiers, fire-fighters or Secretaries of Defense.

Isn’t this just common sense?

BTW….Honey, you can take a swing at me ANYDAY. The last female who gave me her best shot had to retire off the job because she broke a few bones in her hand after she landed one on my jaw.

Oh….the irony!

WOW!

I thought it was funny.

Islam Calling   June 4th, 2010 - 3:30 pm

This is why women, short of bearing wise Islamic boys, should be locked in a cupboard where they belong.
Clearly she doesn’t know what day it is.
But this sporting distraction could have confused a willing suicide bomber so much so that he watched the game instead of getting on with his day job.
However, thanks to the millions of left-leaning Democrat females trying really hard to commentate about things they clearly don’t understand, might only encourage our brave operatives to go forward and blow them-selves up anyway.

K.Z.   June 4th, 2010 - 3:35 pm

Frenchy: I called most of the people commenting here morons because it’s fair and accurate. The fact that I stopped there was respectful. What I said was, it is a matter of respect, not political correctness, and I stand by that.

mike morrison   June 4th, 2010 - 5:00 pm

It’s obvious she knows or cares nothing for the game of baseball, and I admit, it’s just a game, but for the life of me I can’t understand why anyone on tv who is a professional “journalist” would comment on something they know NOTHING about and then expect not to get slammed like a midget wrestler. There have been only 20 perfect games thrown in the entire existence of professional baseball. The umpire knew he screwed up and knows what that bad call cost this VERY YOUNG pitcher who had only been called up from the minors a few weeks ago. This was a major achievement and if Bud Sieleg weren’t such a jackass himself, he would’ve award this guy his perfect game.

On another note, I noticed she lost all of her good feelings about this when she got the smack down she deserved. So much for the good sportmanship award;)

In the end it doesn’t matter because Islam will eventually stop all sporting events except public stonings of Christians and gays.

Jodark   June 4th, 2010 - 5:11 pm

Meh, he’s right. The fact is the Ump made a mistake and owned up to it. That doesn’t make it better. A perfect game is an incredible baseball achievement and that would have been the 3rd this season.

Frankly, she doesn’t know what she is talking about and shouldn’t be offended by what he said. Women don’t run sports because a majority don’t know whats going on or why its important.

Besides, women on these shows say things like “Well, that’s why its run by women instead of men” all the time in refence to femine cultural institutions.

American   June 4th, 2010 - 5:16 pm

Do people still watch baseball?
When a baseball game starts is there a prayer invoking the name of Jesus as there is at each and every NASCAR race? If not, why not. And until they do, why watch it?
It’s a Godless sport if you cannot open it with a prayer in our Lord’s name. This is America, isn’t it? We are a Christian Nation – or at least NASCAR thinks so.

Basketball, football, baseball – pagan events like in ancient Rome. Once they were sports – now they are timewasters.

jodark   June 4th, 2010 - 5:20 pm

@Mike Morrison: I agree with everything you’ve said except for one thing. Bud Selig can’t just award this guy a perfect game. It would violate the sanctity of baseball lore. If he were to do that based on the replay which has only been something that’s available in recent baseball history. And then other close calls and bad calls would deserve being looked at. Him doing so would start a chain reaction and bring into question all the injustices and unfair calls in baseball history. And that is not a can or worms that can be opened for the sport to retain the sanctity of its records.

jodark   June 4th, 2010 - 5:21 pm

@American: That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read all day. You best be trolling.

Thomas   June 4th, 2010 - 5:39 pm

She’s a typical Liberal Fascist Feminazi. He makes a joke and she threatens him with violence. Violence and hatred is everything they believe in. It’s what they cherish the most. More damage, murder, and destruction was caused by a single Liberal Protest then every Tea Party Protest in the last two years. Disagree and they’re belligerent, coercive, eventually violent.

She’s a Feminazi hatemonger who deserved to be insulted on television for acting like a dipshit. “Everyone apologized so that makes it OK.” Actually it doesn’t. The entire game changed because of this Umpire’s error. That’s not “OK.” She was riding her bullshit moral highhorse and once she got called on it her true colors shown – the were Red, White, and Black.

Not Myprez   June 4th, 2010 - 5:45 pm

Stupid broads have no concept of how to play by the RULES because they’ve been given positions because of the “affirmative action” democrat party idiots…the same idiots that gave obama the presidency – obama never worked a day in his life, not even in school, he was a “colored” (as the N.A.A.C.P. would call him) so we have the village idiot as a “leader” . This “newscastor” broad has obviously been given the same breaks because of “affirmative action”…VOTE in 2010 and get rid of the demo-RAT party.. My hope is that by 2012 the lying, anti-American, anti-human, affirmative action, intolerant, anti-marriage, anti-life, democratic party will be completely destroyed…If we’re going to have a two party system let it be conservative/capitalist or liberal/socialist – don’t let the lying demoRATS get away with their phony “god bless america” B.S. anymore

Bill Clinton   June 4th, 2010 - 5:48 pm

@K.Z. Why are you so upset about what a real sports commentator said to this silly gash anyway? She needs to stick to what she knows like being a shoe critic or house cleaning,or she can commentate on womens softball, if she did that nobody would hear what she had to say and that would probably be a good thing.

Let’s face it K.Z. this gash sure don’t know nothing about mens sports, so calm down little darlin and run along.

Douglas   June 4th, 2010 - 5:51 pm

Let’s suppose the runner was actually safe and the ump called him out….would everyone be screaming to take away his perfect game? Not. Erin Burnett is right on this one. Baseball is an imperfect game. That’s what makes it so great.

John   June 4th, 2010 - 5:55 pm

Bravo to Mark Haines! He sure cut the Goldman Sachs and CFR loving Erin Burnett a new one!

James   June 4th, 2010 - 6:29 pm

He’s right. Too bad… the truth sometimes smacks you between the eyes. Unless of course you want male athletes to use eye shadow, carry man purses and display their feminine side more often. In other words, become girlie men… men that women can talk to… i.e. gay.

He is right and now he will be called a sexist, racist, bigot. He is 100% right. A bad call should not be celebrated because the Ump apologized!

Bishop   June 4th, 2010 - 6:58 pm

Off Duty you will be banished for saying females should not be cops or on the front line. Of course they should not be. They do not require the mental or physical strength and most men cannot even handle the drugged out muscle bound men. Men should not be day care workers or other feminine jobs. Let females do certain jobs and men do certain jobs instead of making everyone equal because men and women are not equal in strength.

Robert   June 4th, 2010 - 7:03 pm

Q: Why do women have periods?

A: They deserve them.

NYmike   June 4th, 2010 - 7:18 pm

Two things: FOX BUSINESS CHANNEL, and – If Erin Burnett were still playing Field Hockey and scored a winning goal in the National Championship erroneously disallowed by a ref, or scoring to break the NCAA record and IT was disallowed by a ref’s erroneous call – let’s see how beautiful a moment she could create from that. And YES, this IS why women should not, and are not, allowed to be in charge of sports. And THIS is why: FBN.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

viktor   June 4th, 2010 - 7:38 pm

You people are a bunch of brush apes. The woman had it right. Everyone in the universe agrees with her except you people. The ump apologized and he was forgiven and life goes on. It’s called sportsmanship.

Remember the old saying: It’s not whether you win or lose but how you play the game.

Erin Burnett’s response to this knucklehead should have been a pointed “F**k you!!”

Paul J.   June 4th, 2010 - 7:52 pm

The Guy in the video is a liberal idiot, He always acts like a ass when someone brings up a conservative point on his show. Rush Limbaugh made an appearance last year and Haines was a rude jerk. She’s just eye candy, Cramer’s “little bit of stuff”.

viktor   June 4th, 2010 - 8:01 pm

John Miller, the resident Tiger fan at NRO’s Corner, reports:

“The Tigers started play at 1:05 pm today, with umpire Jim Joyce (the guy who blew the perfect-game call last night) scheduled to call balls and strikes. Joyce came onto the field with his crew, holding back tears. There’s probably nobody more upset about what happened than him. Galarraga brought out the Tigers lineup card and shook hands with Joyce and the others gathered at home plate, in a place where all could see. Standing ovation from the crowd.

What happened last night was unfortunate. Everyone knows it. Galarraga and Joyce have handled this with an enormous amount of grace and dignity. An e-mailer pointed out that it’s almost a blessing that Joyce messed up the call, because now everyone can see how grown ups are supposed to behave.”

Ryder   June 4th, 2010 - 8:52 pm

AWESOME! :)

K.Z.   June 4th, 2010 - 8:52 pm

Ignoring the content of the message the woman in the video was saying, the reaction from the co-host was beyond the pale. Racism does exist, and so does sexism, and the point of my previous comments on here was that the people commenting here are being sexist. It’s not a remotely acceptable form of behavior, it is not what we cherish free speech for at all, and it’s not what we condone. The people who have responded to the messages that I posted have made some vulgar, sexist remarks (which just makes the people who made those comments seem pretty stupid since I’m a guy) and assumed all sorts of things that I didn’t even say. Sure, this commentator is wrong with what she’s saying, but the entire point of this video is the co-host’s reaction. It’s entirely and flagrantly sexist. Taking into consideration that women serve in the Israeli Defence Forces, and the job they do in the IDF is second to none, one does not need to go far to find plenty of examples to show that women are capable of just about anything. So to compare reality to what you guys are saying here, you seem as disconnected as liberals usually are. It’s shameful to see this on Breitbart, which has, until now, attracted a relatively cultured audience.

Toch   June 4th, 2010 - 9:09 pm

Fluff   June 4th, 2010 - 9:19 pm

Ever notice how 98% of every department store is full of fluffy, pretty stuff for women like this so-called Sports Reporter in the video? This is because women are vain and a drain upon the real world. American women in particular are convinced that they are Princesses who arrived on Unicorns.

Leave sports to people who understand it and go get me another beer.

Joe P.   June 4th, 2010 - 9:21 pm

Do you know what the most valuable thing is in a woman’s make-up kit?

Her eyebrow pencil.

Half the women in America, especially blonds, would be nothing but forehead from their hairline to their eyeballs if it weren’t for this little item.

Freaky, when you think about it.

Moments of Graciousness   June 4th, 2010 - 9:22 pm

This is exactly why women are not in charge of anything.

The idea that rules don’t matter is running rampant through society and politics. Wait until that comes home to roost and see how ya like it. It’s truly ridiculous how many sexist, jailbirds have saved their stipends up, boughten a computer, with their ankle bracelets on and tried to make cohesive sentences. However, even with spell checker they are empty, sexist comments, which the news woman in question has a legal right to file charges against. Free speech or not, it’s defamation of character and sexual harassment. All of which, should she choose, she could have each of you prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There really should be stupid scanners, like breathalizers to start your computers. It would free the net up for intelligent interactions.

lilablue   June 5th, 2010 - 2:52 am

Even though I, who isn’t into sports wouldn’t have responded that way. that way was “Talk show host”. However, if someone would have responded to me with the quote: ‘This is Why Women Aren’t In Charge of Sports’ I would have quickly pointed out the following. Sport players are one of the most highly paid people in the states, possibly world wide. Some of these people have commited acts of nature that should have defiled them. But, they got off either scott free or with small fines etc. All because they are a sports hero. They are still treated as important people. Making unbelievable amounts of money.

Then, we have those in the military. Who live in dust and the like. Who works for peanuts saving “OUR” lives. It is “them” that is important to me. “You want sports? Join the military.”

dude   June 5th, 2010 - 2:56 am

Harry Lang   June 5th, 2010 - 3:40 am

Notice how the woman thinks its OK to rule a comment invalid if it is offensive. She thus elevates her feelings (offendedness) above reality (whether the comment is true). Now THAT’S a reason women shouldn’t be in charge of anything, except under the watchful eye of men.

Yes, men occasionally do it too. But women do it SO MUCH MORE OFTEN than men that when men do it they are thought of behaving childishly, whereas when women do it they thought of as just behaving like women. Hence men have historically regarded women as childish. This phenomenon makes biological sense once you realise that a woman’s childishnes assists her in her role as mother, since it makes it easier for her to get into the mind of a child.
