ClimateGate: A Who’s Who

Times Online: Scientists at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based. It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years. The UEA’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation. The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected. The revised figures were kept, but the originals — stored on paper and magnetic tape — were dumped to save space when the CRU moved to a new building.

Obammy is a fraud, and thanks to stupid people that believe a fraud, he is fraud in chief!

WHAT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED BY THE EMAIL DISCLOSURES ABOUT THE CLIMATE SCIENTISTS WHO FAKED DATA TO PROMOTE THE GLOBAL WARMING MYTH?

In effect, the public perception is that SCIENCE HAS BEEN DISCREDITED, not only the specific people involved in the global warming scam

WHAT A SHAME! WE ARE QUICKLY MOVING INTO THE PRE-GALALEO ERA. SOON WE’LL BE IN THE DARK AGES.

FastFacts   November 30th, 2009 - 6:36 pm

Right now the biggest person on that list is Barack Obama and Gibbs. UPDATE: Gibbs just said that this changes nothing. So what this tells you. Obama is thumbling his nose at the citizens of the United States and now to truth. The agenda is the number one priority and we will remember that. Mr. President we are watching and you will not be able to hide this come next election season. The Copenhagen convention is a hoax that will completely neglect the science and truth and we will have to pay for the whole thing, whether our representatives vote for it or not.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa, these frikkin shysters, so-called “scientist” throwing away data that is not consistent with their agenda. These proves that these scheming scientist are politically motivated by manipulating data, by trumpeting science to their stupid global warming fraud!!!

These GANGSTER scientist are after one thing and one thing only… GRANT MONEY, AT OUR EXPENSE! How the hell do you think that Al Gore has made over 100 million dollars with this same fraudulent shenanigans…

Directaction   November 30th, 2009 - 8:31 pm

Forget the emails. Look at the source code. That is the key here. It is undeniable. It shows fraud by deliberate and calculated design, with clear premeditation on what results it was intended to produce.

A computer program means what it says. It is not like words or phases in an email. There is no ambiguity. The liberated source code from the UEA shows how the data was manipulated. Even the programmers left cynical remarks in the program, fully aware that it was junk.

This is about control and money. This is a blatant power grab by the governments of the world on the rights of their citizens. What the leaders of these countries want what Obama wants: Totalitarian control over our lives.

You can’t take a computer program out of context. And this one shows it was designed to meet a specific conclusion, regardless of any contrary data.

This is the worst fraud ever perpetrated. The few dollars Bernie Madoff stole is petty larceny by comparison.

Government Mess   November 30th, 2009 - 8:50 pm

I suspected all along that the data was at least being manipulated if not made up entirely and “Bang” here we have proof of total dirty corruption. This Man Caused Global Warming Hysteria is just that, hysteria. The Greedy Politicians and Big Corporations have been paying Scientists to produce their desired outcome. They have been teaming up to Scam People with Lies and Deception for over 10 years now! If this isn’t enough to make you see the truth you are truly a drone follower that deserves to be taken advantage of. Being environmentally friendly is good enough, we are already doing that. End the Hysteria and Lies about Man Made Global Warming Now!

Anthem Excerpt : Ayn Rand novel   November 30th, 2009 - 9:33 pm

“I look upon the history of men…and I wonder. It was a long story, and the spirit which moved it was the spirit of man’s freedom. But what is freedom? Freedom from what? There is nothing to take a man’s freedom away from him, save other men. To be free, a man must be free of his brothers. That is freedom. That and nothing else.

At first, man was enslaved by the gods. But he broke their chains. Then he was enslaved by the kings. But he broke their chains. He was enslaved by his birth, by his kin, by his race. But he broke their chains. He declared to all his brothers that a man has rights which neither god nor king nor other men can take away from him, no matter what their number, for his is the right of man, and there is no right on earth above this right. And he stood on the threshold of the freedom for which the blood of the centuries behind him had been spilled.

But then he gave up all he had won, and fell lower than his savage beginning.

What brought it to pass? What disaster took their reason away from men? What whip lashed them to their knees in shame and submission? The worship of the word “We.”

When men accepted that worship, the structure of centuries collapsed about them, the structure whose every beam had come from the thought of some one man, each in his day down the ages, from the depth of some one spirit, such spirit as existed but for its own sake. Those men who survived — those eager to obey, eager to live for one another, since they had nothing else to vindicate them — those men could neither carry on, nor preserve what they had received. Thus did all thought, all science, all wisdom perish on earth…

But I still wonder how it was possible, in those graceless years of transition, long ago, that men did not see whither they were going, and went on, in blindness and cowardice, to their fate. I wonder, for it is hard for me to conceive how men who knew the word “I,” could give it up and not know what they lost…”

When do the Congressional inquires begin on this huge loss of Data?

Does this mean that ALL laws and treaties concerning Global Warming, Climate Change, Cap and Tax are all on hold until new Data is collected?

It’s great that this is finally coming to light. Science is becoming a ‘holy cow’ in our country. It’s time to acknowledge the political/economic pressures on scientists and make them accountable. Oh, and let’s actually READ their reports instead of someone else’s Cliff Notes of them.

Shake hands with Al Gore for $1209 at UN conference…
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/dec/01/inside-the-beltway-41029681/

“Tickets are available in different price ranges for the event. If you want it all, you can purchase a VIP ticket, where you get a chance to shake hands with Al Gore, get a copy of Our Choice and have your picture taken with him. The VIP event costs DKK 5,999 and includes drinks and a light snack.”

Wait, what? How much is that in American dollars? The currency conversion says it all, too: 5,999 Danish kroners is equivalent to $1,209.

“If you do not want to spend that much money, but still want to hear Al Gore speak about his latest book about climate challenges, you can purchase general tickets, ranging in price from DKK 199-1,499 depending on where in the room you want to sit,” the practical Danes advise. “There will be large screens, so that everyone will get a good view.”

Solar Verses Nuclear   December 1st, 2009 - 1:51 pm

Scientist calls nation’s biggest solar plant a toy
Researcher’s report claims advocates inflating numbers to hide cost
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=117541

by Dr. Arthur B. Robinson
Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine

On Oct. 25, 2009, Barack Obama presided over the beginning of operation of the largest solar-energy facility yet built in the United States. “Largest Solar-Panel Plant in U.S. Rises in Florida” by Christine Armario, Associated Press, Oct. 23, 2009, brings word that this plant cost $150 million to build and is sited on 180 acres of Florida land. It is touted as a “25-megawatt” facility.

“Florida’s New 90,000-Solar-Panel Power Station” by Energy Matters, Renewable Energy News, Oct. 12, 2009, reports that the builder, Florida Power and Light Company, estimates that it will produce 42,000 megawatt hours per year of electricity.

(42,000) / (24) (365) = 4.8 megawatts. (4.8) / (25) = 0.19 – so the plant actually produces, on average, 19 percent of the energy produced at its peak output under perfect conditions – the “25-megawatt” figure. This fivefold difference is typical of reports on solar installations.

The annual 42,000 megawatt hours at 6 cents per kilowatt hour (the current price in Oregon) is worth $2.52 million. At 10 cents (a reasonable national average for “on peak” power – “off peak” costs much less), 42,000 megawatt hours is worth $4.2 million.

Using 6 cents, ($150 million) ÷ ($2.52 million per year) = 60 years. At 10 cents, ($150 million) ÷ ($4.2 million per year) = 36 years. Moreover, these are ordinary consumer prices. Industry uses large amounts of less expensive “off peak” power – power generated when public use is lower, such as at night. These estimates of years to recover cost do not include maintenance and other expenses.

The Palo Verde nuclear-power station – long ago fully paid for by power generated during its first few years of operation – currently produces electricity at a cost of 1.65 cents per kilowatt hour. At this price, the Florida array would require 214 years to pay its costs of construction – if it were in competition with nuclear power that is available whether or not the sun is shining.

Senator Inhofe Asks Barbara Boxer to Probe Potential Scientific ‘Conspiracy’ in ‘Climategate’…
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/57879

(CNSNews.com) — Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, is calling on Chairman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) to conduct hearings on a possible conspiracy between some of the world’s most prominent climatologists to, among other things, manipulate data on so-called global warming.

Inhofe said the recent disclosure of emails between several prominent climatologists reveal “possible deceitful manipulation of important data and research used by the US Global Change Research Program” and the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

He suggested “a possible conspiracy by scientists, some of whom receive or have received US taxpayer funds, to stifle open, transparent debate on the most pressing issues of climate science.”

Australia’s Parliament defeats global warming bill
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2009/12/01/international/i083036S16.DTL&tsp=1

(12-01) 20:46 PST SYDNEY, (AP) — Australia’s Parliament defeated legislation to set up a greenhouse gas emissions trading system on Wednesday, throwing a central plank of the government’s plans to combat global warming into disarray.

The Senate, where Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s government does not hold a majority, rejected his administration’s proposal for Australia to become one of the first countries to install a so-called cap-and-trade system to slash the amount of heat-trapping pollution that industries pump into the air.

The peer review process is inappropriate for this type of fact finding. Peer review’s chief merit is that it allows for verification of the claims by those “in-the-know”. This works well in mathematics and science. A mathematician can verify published results by re-deriving them. An experimental scientist can verify results by re-running the underlying experiments.

The peer review process works because it is assumed and expected that some of the peers will do just that kind of verification. But in the case of one-time-event science such as historical temperature measurements the experiments are not repeatable.

If the original data is not provided, then the claims made are technically indistinguishable from fiction. That is not to say that they are necessarily fictitious. What it does mean, however, is that peer review cannot make the distinction between fabricated and actual results. Given that there is such an impetus to fabricate (because the science is grant-driven), the peer review process is wholly inadequate.

There needs to be a new standard for non-repeatable scientific inquiry. The process is essentially indistinguishable from the legal trial process (both are fact-finding mechanisms of non-repeatable events based on witness and expert witness testimony). Therefore, rather than a peer review, this type of scientific inquiry must be subjected to adversarial review process to maintain its integrity.
