I feel sorry for Cindy Sheehan’s loss. Her son is a hero in my opinion. Also, this retired military man who was simply expressing his opinion is also a hero. I think too many of us take for granted the fact that having a military and the fighting force behind the military is in itself a global deterrent for those countries that want to conquer their neighbors – or even us. We ask a lot from our military – and we should support them.

The fact that Sheehan had the gall to take a bullhorn and put it directly into the face of this retired military man is a disgrace. I would consider it assault to have a bullhorn with 130db of a screeching Cindy Sheehan voice actually touching my face.

I don’t wish any legal trouble for this retired military man, but I almost hope she brings an assault charge on this man – because she was the provocateur. The tape is very clear.

1. The retired soldier spent the first part of his protest with hands behind his back.

2. At 0:15, with hands still behind his back, a bullhorn is put directly into his face (for a second time). And the lady talks through it while it is in his face.

3. At 0:32 (I stop-actioned this several times to confirm to my own satisfaction), someone’s hand/arm grabs the retired soldier’s beret. And evidently flings it to the ground.

4. Unfortunately, it’s not clear what caused the stumble that set off the lady in pink. She claims he shoved her, but I don’t think so.
