Why do their t-shirts have a cross on them? The cross represents Christianity and the last time I checked Scientology didn’t really mention anything about Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. If you are such a great “religion” why misrepresent yourself to the people of Haiti?

US Missionaries were already all over Haiti as a normal thing to do, some died in the quake.
At least Scientologists are there too. Voo-doo is also big right now in Haiti. Haitian people are probably still in shock

Let’s see if I got this right?! A group of people that believe humans were put here on Earth 75 million years ago by an alien named Xenu are going to Haiti to heal people that believe in magic spells, talismen, animal sacrifice, and re-animation of dead humans (with a little Catholicism thrown in for good measure). Somebody get these nut jobs away from those Haitian babies! What bloody use are they!? What total rubbish – if such healing were possible, it would have cured the world already. All they’re doing is damage. I worked on a case where a mentally ill boy killed his mother because they were scientologists, and did not give the boy medication.

I think it is sort of sad and funny at the same time to read these comments, because most of them just shows how ignorant a lot of people still choose to be. Maybe it’s a sign of the educational system in this country – I don’t know….
At least John got it right here, help is help, no matter who it comes from.
Do you also not buy a burger from the best burger place in town once you find out the owner is a Muslim? If the best car repair shop in your area is owned by a Buddhist, and you had repaired your car there many times with great results, and you find out that he was a Buddhist, would you stop repairing your car there even though he did the best job?
I’ve been a Scientologist for over 30 years now and it never stops surprising me how people buy into what they read in papers or see on the TV, and then take that for the truth about a subject and claim to have a valid opinion. I personally try to not have an opinion about something I haven’t truly studied for myself.
For those who are interested, Scientology assists are not meant to be used INSTEAD of medical help – that’s just media “black PR” again, needing to sell controversy. The assists are just a simple means of speeding up healing AFTER medical care has taken place, by helping the person communicate with the different injured parts through the nervous system. That’s all it is meant to do. There is nothing mysterious about it, there’s no “magic”. I have used these methods myself for over 30 years and they work every time, whether you “believe” in them or not, because they have nothing to do with “belief”.
If you’re truly interested in finding out how the different assists work instead of “bitching” about their use, you can walk in to any Church of Scientology and pick up a book about it. The information is readily available to anyone. Like I said, anyone can learn to do these and there is nothing mysterious about it….
And by the way, I support my wife financially so that she can work full time to help get our Volunteer Ministers over there, and we have done the same for many catastrophes including 9/11 and the Tsunami in Thailand (and I probably should also mention that many of the Scientologists going over there are medical professionals, bringing a ton of supplies in addition to themselves, just so you don’t think we only send people who can give these assists and nothing else is being done, as the media would like you to think…).
And the ones of you that “bitch” about us doing something about it, what have you done to help?
Uh-oh….I foresee many Hollywood types who follow this science-fiction “so-called religion”, showing up in Haiti soon! Hope the clash with voodoo doesn’t cause an explosion.

Amazing that most who peruse Breitbart do so because of the lack of truthful media out there but when it comes to Scientology most can’t get enough of the mainstream koolaid. Let’s see…they are down there assisting and you are typing away….explains a lot.
