WHEN GOOD PEOPLE GO BAD - CHICAGO WILL BE A MESS!   September 27th, 2009 - 11:59 pm

I don’t blame the people of Chicago for wanting the Olympic bid to go to Rio. The Atlanta Olympics made a group of people wealthy (one was it’s mayor at the time), misled people into thinking they were going to be able to rent out their homes for exorbitant fees, hotels suffered because they didn’t get the bookings they thought they were going to get, street vendors who had to pay the city a large fee to set up and were encouraged to do so by the city were left holding the bag and were set up in areas where it was impossible to sell anything, cities in the suburbs spent money thinking huge crowds were going to come into the suburbs to see their sites and it didn’t happen. The only people who will profit in Chicago will be the Chicago Machine / Mob.

Our government once again cuts the Astroturf with censorship. Seems like a lot of people in Chicago don’t want the Olympics and many are saying that the only people who will profit in Chicago will be the Chicago Machine / Mob. Why is it legal for politician to use tax payer’s money to finance activities and events when the profits from these events go into the pockets of the rich while the tax payers are left paying the bills for years after the event is over? All across the United States there are giant arenas where the tax payers money is needed to keep them open and when any money is made it seems to go into the pockets of the rich or some 20 year old millionaire or some rich ball clup owner with political connections.. Does Pay for Play ring a bell ?

I agree with Dianne. I lived in the Atlanta community during the Atlanta Olympics. What is more important is that while our president is on his way to Denmark to plug the Olympics for the Chicago machine, he is neglecting the job he was elected for. We have Iranians shooting off test missles and our men in Afghanistan need more support for starters.

Is anyone in this crooked administration listening to the people who pay their salaries? No. Our social dictator Obama is going to Denmark to push for the Olympics. He doesn’t give a hoot what the people think. I am so sick of this gov’t. ‘Change you can believe in’? This president is a joke.
When are the American people going to grow a spine and kick the bums out of Washington. ALL OF THEM!!!!!
