1) Those 16,500 IRS agents? Whoops, we forgot to fund them.
2) The children with pre-existing conditions? Whoops, we left them off until 2014. Now why did we use “the children” as our reason for healthcare when we actually forgot to fund them?
3) You know, we forgot to talk to business people when we set the arbitrary employee count at 50. It turns out, this is a disincentive to hire people into the workforce.
Oh well. They’re government. What did you expect?

Now that’s a great businessman there. His strategy is to keep his headcount below fifty. He won’t go after that new contract or innovate, he’ll just rot while others take his business away. He’s admitting he’s a failure and can’t compete. Mr. Businessman, maybe it’s time to go out to pasture and get some new can-do blood into your sorry management.
I’ve owned businesses for three decades and, as a good business person, I planned ahead and began restructuing my business the minute Odumbo was elected. Former number of employees: 6 Current number of employees: 0. My profits now go into my family’s pocket, not into the pockets of employees and I don’t have to even think about the debacle that lies ahead in terms of the cost of giving health insurance to employees who don’t care if they have it or not (I used to provide great health plans and I can assure you that employees don’t give a rap about it!).
What Odumbo and his crowd don’t realize is that the smarts that have made business owners successful in the US will be the same smarts that give us the creativity to survive, and it is WITHOUT staff. Thanks Odumbo!

Hey I just got laid-off from a health insurance company on 3/31. No notice or inkling that I was going. I had lots of work, and I worked hard, but their enrollments dropped 15-20%. So I was let go. I completely blame the democrats, and Obama. Now that I’m unemployed I’ll have time to stump for republicans…
Employment in health care services rose 27,000 in March. 40,000 temporary help services were added. The federal government added 48,000 temps for the decennial census, creating a minor and temporary “blip” on the radar. But the number of unemployed also rose again in March. And the total is almost 40K less jobs than they were expecting. Oh, and the unemployment rate remains unchanged at 9.7%. Furthermore, the average duration of unemployment increased again to 31.2 weeks, the highest itās been in months.
Also, after Obama signed his dubious MONSTROSITY into law, a week and a half later Obama’s approval ratings have sunk to their lowest ever at 44% according to a CBS poll.
The American people are angry… angry at the way the liberal Democratzi shoved this MONSTROSITY down our throats… angry at the way they did it by circumventing the normal legislative process and committing “bribery” to gain the necessary votes they weren’t able to obtain using ethical, law abiding means. They have trampled on the American people’s freedoms and liberties in their quest to pass this ‘bitterly’ partisan Socialistic “agenda” of theirs… which is in trying to create more and more government bureaucracy and government control over the citizens of this Country and where Big Brother i.e. the Obama administration seeks to institute a Government of political “elite” based on Marxist principles of governing and rule in my opinion. To Big S (are the initials just a coincidence?): the fact is that most businesses can do very well with many fewer employees. When AT&T “trimmed” 20k employees during Clinton’s time, it didn’t go out of business. It’s when employees become political footballs by government imposing unnecessary costs and responsibilities that businesses begin to re-think their needs. This administration is merely shifting ITS costs onto businesses — making promises to get votes, then shifting the costs of those promises onto to employers.
If, in the process, US business, medicine, and research become less creative, less inventive, less successful and competitive, that’s the price of heavy-handed government. That’s the price we’ll pay for not being vigilant and responsive to those political people whose only goal is re-election-by-false-promise and who don’t give a whit about this country’s well-being.

AT&T trimmed their workforce during Clintons time for one reason – the Internet was eating their lunch in the highly profitable long distance trunk market. A technological change brought about through what some might consider socialist government policy supporting DARPA and the university government sponsored R&D. Of course, it’s hard to give more than enough credit to the R&D AT&T did during the 20th century e.g. the transistor, fiber optics, the CCD device etc…

Verizon took the alleged $1 billion charge against earnings not because of feared expenses of the health care bill but simply because they (as everybody else) saw an opportunity to screw America some more by, in effect, cheating on their income taxes by now hiding $1 billion in earnings. That’s why Congress is asking questions. Something folks on the right should re-learn instead of just believing everything they want to hear.

the 1 billion is what Verizon received in tax breaks for providing drug coverage to current and retired employees. But, Odumbocare removes that tax break, so guess what, Verizon MUST declare on its FCC filings that it is a loss of money. Since Verizon now is almost 1 billion poorer, where do you think they are going to get money to expand or hire more employees. They aren’t. Since they can’t hire new employees, and it is now economically unfeasible for them to continue this coverage what do you think will now happen? Employees and retirees will now lose their coverage and have to go on Odumbocare for drug coverage, plus one major corporation has received a huge disincentive form offering any coverage or new employment opportunities. Liberals always think businesses should give up any profit so that freeloaders can have a free ride. Like Thatcher once said, “Socialism is great, until you run out of other peoples money.”
I blame the mainstream media. They campaigned for this guy for two long years…and refused to vet him. We have had no information about his childhood, education, how and why he got into elite schools. What were his high school and college grades? His SAT score? What passport did he travel on as a young man? What drugs did he take in college? Did he buy them? Where did he get the money? Did he sell drugs? His mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, a communist…why is he never asked about Davis?
While I believe he was likely born in Hawaii…it is hard to understand why he won’t release his long form birth certificate. Something is on it he does not want made public.
All of these questions should have been researched by the news media…they did not do their job. The question is why?
