As a contractor, I am not sure if the Hatch Act has any application. Had this been a federal employee, it would be grounds for dismissal and or other punitive punishment.

But the video documents impropriety in that special meetings were called to influence the votes of their work force, thus federal funding was used to discuss political matters, as all the workers were being paid by those funds during the recorded meeting. Federal funds were expended preparing the "voluntary" voting instruction cards.

Over all though this is small potatoes compared to what happens in Unions. The use of dues and other funds to influence elections, and buy off candidates at constantly lower and lower offices, early in their careers is a troubling development. Many candidates, especially in Calif, are bought off from the word go. By the time the candidate/elected official gets to higher office they are completely compromised. It used to be said in many eastern states that a window could not be installed without the approval of some union. Often organized crime organizations ran the unions. In the Western US, it was thought that unions and organized crime organizations did not have that power. But with the advent of the public employee union complete control of CA in the past decade, and rise of various drug related organized crime organizations, the old assumptions seem to be dead.

SEIU has cast its tentacles into almost all aspects of California government. It is troubling to see the prior criminal activities of the leadership, such as the wholesale embezzlement of union funds that was ignored by the top leaders. If this is the ethical makeup of the people that are buying off our leaders, we are in deep trouble.

ALL DEMOCRATS SUCK and they are absent of any morals.

As Dave_in_Oregon can tell you about Oregon, here in Washington Seattle/King County rules the election. In our Senate race here, I saw a political map of WA that showed what counties went for Rossi (R), and which went for Murray (D). Rossi took 3/4s of the state, Murray, only the Puget Sound area, which is 25%. If you think the race wasn't fixed I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'm sell you!

Every so often someone either contracted by the procurement office of the federal government or the federal government itself contacts my office in an effort to ask me to sign up, and bid on government contracts. For the past 15 years or more, I’ve said no on behalf of my company because by engaging in such an endeavor would leave my company at risk to a legislature and/or a President who would not know a “widget” from a “what’s it” if their life depended on it. Not to mention the caliber of federal employee that I would be forced to deal with on what would become a monthly basis.

There exist another problem though. I cannot in good conscience extend the federal government credit. It appears that your operation is $1.7 Trillion in deficit, and $14 Trillion in debt, and as such represents an extreme credit risk. If you would like to render payment in either Gold, Silver, or some other hard asset, arrangements will be made for there secure transfer prior to any shipment of goods.

Be advised, as soon as your credit situation improves we will reevaluate, and we will then be able to except notes from the federal reserve as payment.

Therefore, your request to have my company bid on any government contracts has been denied.

The Government has used the "Cow Priniciple " they empolyed against the Apache Indians to finally subdue them after 2-3 centuries of being unable to subduet them. The government decided to give the leaders of the Apache some cows. so now all the Indians wanted their share of the cows, so they began squabbling and demanding more from the Chieftains. As the chieftans learned that they now had the power of the purse over the rest of the tribe, they now became dependent on the government to give them things that they had always taken care of themselves before.
