Caught on Tape: Reporter, Producer Run Over in Iowa Bar Parking Lot

"It's like a cracking sound like a watermelon being split or something and I thought for sure it was her head. I grabbed the truck and pushed with everything I had."

So they are all drunk coming out of a bar.

And they are doing their best to paint this guy as the worst person in the world criminal.

Why were they standing behind a truck?

Bias report. The news can turn anyone into a criminal even if they did nothing.

And being CBS makes it more untrust worthy.

They imply the guy intentionaly tried to back up and keep backing up, if he is drunk (which is wrong driving and criminal) Now if he was drunk he probably didn’t even know he hit anything. They are trying to make alot more out this then what it really was.

Yes it was criminal to get into a truck and drive afterwards But lets see the Breath report on the CBS reporters that were stupid enough to stand behind a truck and were heading to get into a car or cars themseleves and drive away. Which is criminal.

BIAS report. I am not defending any DUI driver but the report is clearly bias.

New Rule: no more reporting from late night Iowa bar parking lots.

I hope that they are OK.

I thought that this story might be about Rick Sanchez from MSNBC or whatever scumbag station he works for doing what he does best….running people over while drunk, and leaving the scene of the accident, to go home and figure out some kind of excuse why he ran.

You know….typical liberal stuff!

Good call, checkit.

I love the cover story “I was getting my jacket.” Like he wasn’t going to drive.

Hmmmm, .15? That sounds familiar. Rick Sanchez killed someone. Wonder if this station ever covered that.

“Though the results of one test show the newsman’s blood-alcohol level was .15 -slightly over the legal .10 limit – the test was performed after Sanchez left the scene of the accident.”

Funny, when it was some newsman with a Mexican sounding name (actually it is Spanish) .15 is no big deal – only SLIGHTLY over the limit (if 50% higher than the limit is “slight.”)

It amazes me that people go to bars where things like this happen and then act surprised when it does.

I’m wrestling with who I think is dumber in this story – nah, it’s the reporters.

bornready   February 25th, 2010 - 11:03 pm

That other reporter isn’t moving very quickly to help his co-worker. With friends like that…..

If Nathan voted for Obamie in 2008, could he still be responsible for his actions? Just “axin”………………..

muggins   February 25th, 2010 - 11:35 pm

I hope the driver gets what he deserves but I sure am getting sick of the press getting all hot and bothered when they think they are the news. It’s the Obama syndrome.

So…. the drunk reporters get their 5 min soapbox… whatever.

Too bad it wasn’t an MSNBC employee.

I blame Bush for this whole episode.
