Fox News' Eric Bolling gave a bad review of the Chevy volt earlier this year. Chevy asked to meet with Bolling to discuss ways that they could improve his experience with the "green" car. Bolling suggested Chevy loan him a Volt for a week so that he could get the full experience of driving it as a primary vehicle. Two days in a row that Bolling began driving it on a full charge the car only made it 25 miles before having to switch to gas.

Having attempted to document a House subcommittee hearing on hydraulic fracturing, Oscar-winning filmmaker Josh Fox was ordered to leave and arrested for not carrying proper press credentials. Fox directed the Oscar-nominated 2010 film "Gasland," an environmental film critical of natural gas drilling.

City workers who had been cleaning the area noticed toilet paper on top of a storm water grate that drains into a nearby creek. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and city officials believe some protesters have been using the drain as a toilet. "We're looking at the environmental impact on the stream down there with the wildlife, and things like that," said Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Dulin.

"Plus the water goes downstream for other people to drink further down. But again, we're just trying to cover all our bases, and make sure that if there is any type of environment impact, that we're able to identify that and then correct that and make sure there is no further environmental impact downstream," he added.
