Carville: Reagan didn’t go in for that big tent crap. It is actually contrary to what Reagan said and stood for.

H2K   November 1st, 2009 - 11:23 am

My definition of a democrat’s definition of a “big tent” is one where every ethnic group is pandered to in order to get their vote, but nothing is done to help them.
Look at the war on poverty. Poor people are much worse off than ever before morally. We have a higher drop out rate, more broken families, and most women are pregnant before marriage. Sure, junior has an iPod, expensive sneakers, and there is a big screen TV at home.
Meanwhile, the conservatives cry to fix tax policy to entice more business ownership is flushed down the toilet.
Liberals and democrats s.u.c.k.

Kix   November 1st, 2009 - 11:28 am

Carville, like Obama would love to think that the Republican Party is in tatters. After all, they’ve worked so hard and invested so much in infiltrating the party with their liberals disguised as Republicans, otherwise known to the rest of us as “RINO’s”. But the fact is, the GOP found out that it has a very strong base (40% of this country) and this base is not going to tolerate RINO’s anymore. The house cleaning began with the 2008 election and when it was made evident that the RINO’s would rather throw the election to the liberals than come back to the conservative side of the fence, they found themselves without jobs. Now that the conservatives that had previously given up on the party are coming back in droves… there will be more house cleaning done. And Obama and Carville.. well, they can go pound salt. We are taking this country back!

The barracuda strikes again. more to come gater head

Terry   November 1st, 2009 - 11:44 am

Kix – it wasn’t “liberals” who were infiltrating the party. Pretty clear who they really were with names like “Horowitz” and “Feith” and “Wolfowitz” and “Podhoretz.” These foreign extremists are the problem. Their allegience is with Israel, not the US much less the GOP.

Look at this showcase of traitors – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0Fs73XZqm8

Jimmy Carville is a fu**ing Democrap who’s spinning the NY23 story here per orders from The White House, 0bama, Axelrod and the DNC…

He OBVIOUSLY doesn’t understand Reagan’s Transcendent Conservatism! But how could he? He’s obtuse…

Hey Carville, spin away you tool…your Democrap Potty is GOING DOWN before the week is up!

We’ll send that piece-of-crap Prez back to Hell soon too…but first things first:

VA, NJ, then NY23!

When did Carville start becoming relevant, again?

General Bedford Forrest   November 1st, 2009 - 11:47 am

Can someone please explain to me why this Carville character is considered a serious commentator on any subject ?

Swana   November 1st, 2009 - 11:50 am

Wow, sounds like someone dumped a whole bunch of fear in this mans Koolade.

MagicMan   November 1st, 2009 - 11:56 am

Hey, Jimbo, the days of your party, the MSM, and the lib/left in this country dictating what the repubs/GOP should be are over. Blew your wad on picking McCain for us in the 2008 election.

Go back to the La. swamps, Gollum.

Suzanne   November 1st, 2009 - 12:05 pm

Yea, Yea, of course the big tent has collapsed according to the most partisan DIMocRAT around. Sorry James, Dede was no moderate, except maybe to the Liberals who want Socialized Meds, Card Check for Unions, Cap and Tax to get more money for welfare, and the4 stimulus to hurt business. Ghee, James, get real.

Fooled no more   November 1st, 2009 - 12:20 pm

Big Tent? Look to your own tent, Carville. Does you tent include The People that want Liberty and Freedom? Does you tent invite anyone that agrees with the Founding Fathers and their vision of Freedom from Government? Your tent, Carville, excludes a millions of Americans.

shane2813   November 1st, 2009 - 12:24 pm

Let the conservatives take the party back. No more Leftist Republicans. If you want to be a Leftist go join the Leftist Democrat party. MARXIST=DEMOCRATS=TERRORIST All the same.

Thor   November 1st, 2009 - 12:26 pm

Okay now we have Carville bummed that the Republicans don’t have the Big Tent syndrome. Big tent my butt, that’s as real as a democrat who loves the military, believes in the Capitalist system, and thinks the Constitution is not a “living document”. Yep, Snakehead is looking out for us Conservatives!

big tent = conservative movement, not repub.

join the conservative rebellion or kiss your liberty good-bye forever. who’s going to save you when you realize the left was LYING TO YOU ABOUT EVERYTHING????

Europe? nope, socialized and impotent.

Russia? are you kidding? (you didn’t fall for the “reset button” thing, did you? neither did Russia)

Canada? (crickets churping)

American Military? they are on O’s terrorist watch list as it is now — don’t count on them.

It seems to me when a man has made and about fool of himself SO MANY times in being not only wrong, but hollering to the world wrong, he’d just go home and shut up!

Spot The Inconsequential   November 1st, 2009 - 1:11 pm

Carville’s tent collapsed on that day that Bill Clinton admitted that he lied, and Carville had his short moment when he realized that all those women whose reputations and lives Carville personally tried his best to destroy, at the behest and in his blinkered support of Clinton, turned out to be the ones telling the truth all along! But that epiphany didn’t last long for a man with absolutely no shame or modesty or humility. His victims “had it coming” from him, after all. As long as HE didn’t have to apologize for anything, these women would just have to have their lives ruined, and that’s that. He was back to putting Party before Truth or Decency within days. Any decent human being with any humility would have retired from the scene and asked their god for forgiveness. He might be very good at what he does, but he has absolutely NO ethics or morals at all, and karma or his God will take care of him in due course for failing to be a decent human being in the ways that count, just like that little schoolyard-style finger-point-and-hide tattle-tale coward Paul Begala. These people simply have big dangerous mouths with less and less credibility and no interest in decency or fairness. They are some of the most disgusting, selfish, self-absorbed, and ethically errant of God’s creations.

Creepdom   November 1st, 2009 - 1:13 pm

Carville always looked like that creepy alien creature off the cover of that famous book “Communion”! He’s the most alien looking thing I’ve ever seen on earth, which would explain a lot! How does any woman actually go to bed with that thing, and all those hyuh hyuh hyuh noises that he makes? Assuming that anyone actually does…

sunsetsabunch   November 1st, 2009 - 1:48 pm

Carville is the dems junk-yard dog spewing the dems message.. he is funny to watch when the veins in his head and neck all pop out LOL !!!

Aren’t you tired of empty suit Teleprompter Boy and his cabal, including Carville and Valerie Jarrett, who write his scripts?

If you want to DO SOMETHING meaningful, to save your country, and stop the socialists, like Jarrett and Emanuel and Axelrod and all the rest of the leftists in the Debtocrat Party, get off your couch and away from your TV and PC and get to a GOP meeting and volunteer to become a precinct committeeman.

HALF the slots nationwide are VACANT. Conservative? If you are, YOU can help remake the biggest political tool to HAMMER the Debtocrats by joining it, the Republican Party, as a voting member of it — a precinct committeeman.

Go here to learn more: http://www.theprecinctproject.wordpress.com

Thank you.

Larse   November 1st, 2009 - 2:45 pm

Hahahhahaaa!!

Go for it James!!!!!!!!

But the best is yet to come! In 2010 the Conservative Party, or whatever its form is then, is going to decimate the GOP. They are going to throw those old failed fools out even before we get the chance just like they did in NY-23. Then the opposition will be purified and run by Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, Coulter, etc. just as you say. They got the party they want now. And in many ways it is just the opposition we want too!!! LOL!! :D

Repeal the 22nd Amendment now! Support H.J. Res. 5!!

What in the hell does Mary Matilin see in that husband of hers? Seriously people, he is disgusting to look at. He is a Clinton hack that sits there and spits and drools over Republicans and you don’t understand a damn thing he says.

Johnny Rotten   November 1st, 2009 - 3:52 pm

Carville needs to do some serious butt scratching if its not too tender.

Conservatism on fire!! Look out Bamster we are coming….

Dave, Tn   November 1st, 2009 - 4:26 pm

Ah isn’t that cute. Someone got himself a brand mew bumper sticker slogan for the followers who worship and admire how well someone can LIE!!

Shiori   November 1st, 2009 - 4:26 pm

If you mean the number of conservatives willing to sell out to Statists is decreasing rapidly, then yes, the ‘big tent’ is collapsing. But if you believe that Reagan would approve of, or even put up with, the viral statism that has infected the GOP – you’d be way off. It’s always hilarious when liberals try to invoke Ronald Reagan when attempting to silence those who espouse Reagan’s values.

Why oh why, Mary???   November 1st, 2009 - 4:29 pm

Mary Matilin is a screamin babe and I’ve never understood her attraction to that maggot toad Carvelle. All I can guess is that she though she could reform him or perhaps she sacrificed her happiness to be able to keep close tabs on the Obama Marxists. At any rate, good on ya, Mary. We love you

lamchops   November 1st, 2009 - 5:48 pm

Anytime James Carville is criticizing the Republican Party, conservatives know they are on the right track.

If on the other hand, Carville started praising the Republican party, that would be the time to panic….

p   November 1st, 2009 - 6:11 pm

Carville is nothing but a white trash buffoon.

Larse   November 1st, 2009 - 6:12 pm

Oh! This is interesting!!

“NY-23: Scozzafava Endorses Owens”

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/house/ny-23-scozzafava-endorses-owen.html

It looks like the GOP is out to destroy the conservatives at all costs before they destroy the GOP! The GOP would prefer that Democrats win if they can’t. The Democrats will always win or loose against the GOP, but the GOP realizes that the Conservative party can truly destroy them!! To the GOP, the Conservative party is a far greater danger than the Democrats now. It will be interesting to see what evil dirty tricks the GOP pulls out to attempt destroy the Conservatives! :D

The Republican party and Conservative party will probably fight like dogs to the death! If we Democrats get lucky here, they will destroy each other and ONLY the Democrats will be left!! :D

This is sweet!!!!!!!!!!

And let me be one of the first to welcome Dede Scozzafava and all of her Republican friends to the Democratic party!! Together, we will eliminate these Conservative freaks!!!!! :D

tacross   November 1st, 2009 - 6:31 pm

just weeding out the arlen spectors and olympia snowes of the party. People who should be with the dems anyway. We don’t want to waste our time and money on those people.

Whatever.   November 1st, 2009 - 6:38 pm

James Carville is obviously losing it and has been for some time. Look at the man! My goodness, does anyone care what he thinks?

Don't Drink the Kool Aid   November 1st, 2009 - 6:43 pm

Carville…he’s a policital strategist…what else would you expect him to say?

Alvin   November 1st, 2009 - 6:50 pm

James Carville is a space alien. This is exactly what needed to happen. Now “Dede” comes out supporting the Democrat? She just showed her true colors.

Desert Dweller   November 1st, 2009 - 7:03 pm

Makes you wonder what the Dems promised her in exchange for throwing her support to Owens. Hope someone keeps an eye on what changes happen in her life- or hubby’s. Something’s rotten in Denmark. Obviously she was a wolf in sheep’s clothing all along.

claspur   November 1st, 2009 - 7:11 pm

Im worried about the corruption that Acorn is going to impose for this upstate NY election. Noticed how AKA Obama community Organizer went to NY and started his ranting and raving. Calling for all his troops to get Corzine elected?

Steve F   November 1st, 2009 - 8:02 pm

Carville is always around when the Dems are in “melt down” usually with some dumb “folksy BS”…DeDe was NEVER a Republican that the majority of us would vote for and Newt and you (Carville) know it! The majority of the Republican party is CONSERVATIVE guys! Why do you think we lost with McCain? and it was not because of Sarah Palin Gov. Alaska…if anything she energized the Republican Party and the Dems are scared to death of her and Tim and Mitt! True Conservatives win everytime with the MAJORITY of Taxpaying, hardworking voters!

Steve F   November 1st, 2009 - 8:14 pm

Larse. please go back to your homoworld that you dwell in! You (and your type represent about 7% of the US population) and it is aging faster that B. Franke and Gore Vidal, the filthy Democrat LEADERS. How’s Barry and Larry Sinclair,,Trick or treat? Np wonder old Michelle always has a scowl…She KNOWS, the “down low”! Wonder if Boy wonder Barry is still smoking and snortin the lines? He has been a little Nervous lately? Maybe someone is talking about his time in Chi town? Like the X Gov!!

Kix   November 1st, 2009 - 8:18 pm

Terry and Larse, you two are loony.

Larse posts a link that proves Terry is wrong and then claims that if they get the RINO’s we’re weeding out of the GOP the Dems are going to “eliminate” more than 40% of the country with what.. 22% of the country? BWAAAA HAAA..

Conservatives have finally said enough is enough and you loony liberals are about to lose it all. But that’s what happens when you get too greedy and vote in an traitor to do a patriot’s job.

Whatwhatwhat   November 1st, 2009 - 8:54 pm

This is so funny. Conservatives are threatening rethugs and forcing them out of their own elections because they are terrified of FURTHER RIGHT WING LOSSES in an off year. Sorry morons, this week will deny you any claim of a sweep. The electorate knows you are crazy and they aren’t going to forget it.

Yoodles   November 1st, 2009 - 9:19 pm

Why is the left so scared of what took place in NY? They almost seem like they really care. Do not believe the hype, the tea party movement inspires Americans and scares the heck out of the commie left. You can smell the fear off them when they speak in polical tongues tying to tell us it is a bad thing the rupub party got punked by the people. Hey, it is about the people! Hats off to Hoffman.

Mick   November 1st, 2009 - 9:35 pm

Carville always comes across as one who pretends concern for the Republican party. He pretends to be concerned for them when Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and Sarah Palin represent the party.

I think we all know why he pretends to be concerned for the Republican Party. He knows that if the Limbaugh-Beck-Palin wave continues to build, Democrats are toast.

So besmirch Republicans for not being that big milque-toast tent of Reagan. Carville knows and understands that the big milque-toast tent is what makes the Republican Party a pushover at election time, and why he fears what he sees with Limbaugh, Beck and Palin.

If Limbaugh, Beck and Palin are soooooo bad for the big tent Party, as Carville pretends, then why doesn’t he praise the Republicans for allowing L,B and P to set the agenda, instead of warning Republicans about these people?

Carville’s phony concern shows him to be nothing but a buck-toothed hack…and a fugly bald one at that!

whatwhatwhat   November 1st, 2009 - 10:20 pm

I’m scared to death that the GOP movement may shutdown my gloryhole.. I will have to return to working the truckstops and cruisy toilets if that happens..

Gandhi's Fist   November 1st, 2009 - 10:46 pm

Love how Carville hits at what he characterizes as Republican radicalism, but turns a blind eye to the true radicals presently ensconced in the white house. To call them socialist is generous considering just how Mao admiring they all seem to be with the communist credentials to back em up. Van Jones was a communist. The director of communications admires Mao. Radical activist groups like ACORN, PFANA and other leftist organizations in profound support and collaboration with comrade Obama.

The tide is turning, watch for it next Tuesday.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   November 1st, 2009 - 11:07 pm

FastFacts   November 2nd, 2009 - 5:20 am

Why do we listen to this Democrat about our party? He has some political stature but only on CNN.

The fact is that the big tent does exist as it consists of CONSERVATIVES not as it consists of everyone. You can’t please everyone or you are nothing and just lying to yourself and others. America has turned to conservatism over 2 to 1 and those are who should be welcomed into this big tent. Scozzofava was not a Conservative with her past on increasing taxes.

There are conservative Republicans as well as Democrats. This is just one very important note people are forgetting and yet it is the most important point. Reagan was a conservative, the American people were drawn back to being conservatives because of Jimmy Carter and Reagan had a big/huge tent made up of conservatives. This is how we grow the tent, starting at the tent pegs being the base.

Big Tent? What is the real meaning of big tent? If Carville’s definition of “big tent” is the true meaning, then Republican party is finished, they stand for nothing. Carville is just spinning.

Wasn’t James Carville (somehow) put in charge of making sure the Afghani elections were conducted fairly and without fraud????? (ANSW =YES)

I want to know:

1. Who assigned him the task?
2. How much was he paid?
3. How does James grade his performance in this task?
4. How do independant analysts grade his performance in this task?
5. Does James feel he should refund the money?

Will ANY NEWS ORGANIZATION have the guts to interview him on this subject?
Or…will we all allow this to fade away…James Carville sure hopes so!
