Americans don’t have time to learn simple economics or understand why a government cannot compete fairly in any industry, but they will have plenty of time to study-up on these subjects as they sit 2 hours in a waiting room for a cough drop. Of course very few Americans seem concerned that the very lawmakers pushing this tragic legislation have resisted any measures that would require enrollment for themselves or their families.

You make me sick willie. If you want things, go to work and earn money and save it and then move up and get promoted. The idea that no one ever has to lose or come in second or not have the very best of everything is prepostrous. It makes me sick that I work two jobs (one full time, one part time) and I don’t get a penny of assistance from the government. I recognize that if I want something I’m going to have to earn it, so that’s exactly what I go out and do. But, you know what, since you don’t feel much like working and earning anything, HERE YA GO! have some of my money…No, you totally deserve it.
willietheliberal, I believe that you posted your comments ‘tongue in cheek’ as in sarcasm. If so, yes, since more than half of our population does not pay taxes already and this amount is growing since we have no job growth- the “obligation” to provide healthcare will fall on fewer, and fewer shoulders. It is easier to take away wealth from someone else, than to create the opportunities for others to obtain wealth themselves.
Obama’s approach illustrates this point perfectly.
It boggles the mind that people can’t readily see the fabrication of truth that Hoyer and others in Obama’s administration are telling on a regular basis. Apparently, according to the Democrats, right is wrong and wrong is somehow now right, lies are truth, draconian and repressive leadership is now transparency and openness, yes means no, up means down, and 2+2 = 3. The American people MUST be smarter than all of these liberal bozos lying through their teeth while trying to run our Country, and failing miserably I might add. Note which ones they are and give each and every one of them the “boot” come 2010 and 2012 America. Including their master of disguise and the deceptively deviant Barack Hussein Obama too. And then vote in the people who actually love America and will respect and honor and also abide by our U.S. Constitution. But even more importantly, people who actually know what they’re doing – and will try their best to be “truthful” to the American people when they open their mouths to speak. Unlike the goofball Steny Hoyer needless to say.
So – if passed (which I am sure it will) it will be “paid for” by cuts to Medicare and taxes put into place right away, with the program to kick in in 2013 — does anyone who is still breathing that actually thinks that “money in advance” will even be there when the actually program comes into play??

It seems to me that if you all don’t take what’s freely given, then it’s your fault, not mine. You criticize me for receiving all the govm’t assistance that I’m entitled and then tell me how you don’t receive anything in the form of assistance…it sounds like I’m the “smart” one and you all are the “not-so-smart” ones. And yes, I do believe that those who work hard and earn a lot should spread their wealth around to us who are less fortunate. They should still keep many of the fruits of their labor, but they should take care of the little guy.
