This morning I had an appointment to get my Florida state ID renewed. I’m afraid I let it expire because every time I tried to renew it online, I would receive a comment that they couldn’t find my information. Remembering my first unpleasant experience with the DMV office, I tried to make sure I had every possible piece of paperwork they could possibly ask for EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A FLORIDA ID ALREADY. I brought my social security card, my birth certificate, my marriage license and proof of residence just in case they needed to recheck anything. I’ve lived in Florida for almost 6 years. I’ve even owned a home in Florida and as I’ve mentioned—I HAVE A FLORIDA ID ALREADY.
I walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter asked for my ID. She looked at my ID and then asked for my birth certificate, social security card and marriage license. I showed her my license for my marriage to my husband. Well, before I could pull out my birth certificate or social security card (which, of course, has my full name on it), she looked at my marriage license and said there was a problem. This is my second marriage. When I married my husband, I still had my first husband’s last name. She informed me that she needed a copy of my first marriage license and my divorce papers. Are you kidding me??????? I now have to try to order a copy of a marriage license from 1971?
I’m a United States citizen—born and raised. I’ve never even had a parking ticket. I am not employed now, but I was working here in Florida. I had to pee in a cup to prove that I wasn’t a drug addict before I could be hired for that job. The reason I’m trying to renew my state ID is because I know I’ll need it when I go to the airport this summer to pick up my grandchildren. I know I’ll have to show my ID and remove my shoes to help prove that I’m not a terrorist before I’m able to get through security.
I can’t believe politicians are so worried about how illegal aliens may be treated and not worried about what I, a United States citizen, have to go through because of illegal aliens.

Ok, so I had to run a bank errand at lunch today and just happened to have an AM station on with Limbaugh discussing Wolf Blitzer’s “CNN Situation Rm” interview with Calderon… an Audio Clip no less. The topic was AZ Immigration Law and surprisingly, Blitzer was asking Calderon about his WH comments around the Law. While no surprise, he reiterated his position of it being not worthy of a great county like the US and treading on Human Rights issues of needless profiling, etc. THEN, to my surprise Blitzer then asked Calderon about Mexico’s Immigration policies and with Calderon’s response of explaining their laws which actually minimized AZ’s law in comparison… Blitzer then went on to seemingly press Calderon to explain the differences compared to AZ’s, essentially challenging Calderon on his double-standard in criticizing AZ. In essence, Calderon’s responses only dug a deeper hole for himself.

People, this Audio Clip has to get out for all to hear to put Obama’s and Calderon’s hypocrisy out in the open… Mexico has at least 116 Immigration Articles defining what happens to those entering Mexico “illegally”, the majority of which had to do with Imprisonment and Deportation!!! They compare “signatures”, residences, “paper’s” for identification, even going as far as determining whether the suspect individual has a medical disorder which would compromise other Mexican citizens… then the suspect individual had to prove they were able to bring ‘value’ to the Mexican society (as in business skills, etc)… yet, Obama joins Calderon in criticizing AZ’s Laws which pale to that of Mexico. Why isn’t anyone in the Mainstream Media reporting this? Why isn’t anyone in Congress or the Senate asking these questions? Why did the Dem’s in Congress applaud Calderon’s AZ Immigration statements as he addressed them?… better yet, why did the Repub’s in attendance stand-by idly?

* contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

* immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

* foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

* foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;

* foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

* foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

* those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
* Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)

* Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

* A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

* A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

* Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

* Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

* Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

* Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

* Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

* “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)

* Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

* Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

* A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

* Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

Can someone tell me why the appeaser in chief is allowing a foreign leader to come both to the White House and now Congress to criticize US law? Someone at Breitbart with the proper resources needs to analyse this clip to identify who exactly was standing up to applaud this jackass. Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:
• Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)
• Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)
Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:
• Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)
• Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)
• Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.
Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,
• “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)
• Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)
• Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)
Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:
• A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)
• Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

EDMONDS, Wash. – The man accused of raping a woman behind an Edmonds grocery store has been deported at least four times in the past 15 years, reports KIRO Radio.

An officer responding to a woman’s cry for help Sunday night found 46-year-old Jose Madrigal on top of the woman and arrested him.

And we are REAL pro-lifers, that means we not only support preventing abortions, but we oppose capital punishment, oppose unjust wars, and believe in upholding the dignity of all life (not just US-born Caucasians). Anyobody who supports the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and supports the death penalty is not pro-life. I also support the Catholic Church’s stance on immigration and healthcare, and I come from a long line of social justice Catholics. I disagree with the Church’s positions on gay marriage and prohibiting women and married men from joining the priesthood. A majority of Catholics have voted for the Democratic presidential candidate in 5 of the past 6 presidential elections.

EDMONDS, Wash. – The man accused of raping a woman behind an Edmonds grocery store has been deported at least four times in the past 15 years, reports KIRO Radio.

An officer responding to a woman’s cry for help Sunday night found 46-year-old Jose Madrigal on top of the woman and arrested him.

According to court documents, the woman told police that Madrigal had followed her and offered her $35 for sex, but she said no. She said Madrigal then forced her into the bushes on the north side of the store and raped her.

Documents say Madrigal told police “Sometimes we have control in our brains, but we make mistakes.”

The 28-year-old Edmonds woman was treated at a hospital.

Snohomish County prosecutors have charged Madrigal in district court with second degree rape. He is also is being held for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.”

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants.

A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity.

A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number.
Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be Imprisoned. Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned.

Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different is subject to fine and imprisonment.

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as Felons. Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished.

Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.

Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison . Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population States…

“A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.”
Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. Foreigners who have contempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported.
Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals .Under the law, A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison.

Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. The general immigration laws of Mexico are very similar to 8 U.S. Codes of the I&N Act. The review of basic Immigration laws of various nations including Mexico have been researched by various authors including Professor Michael Waller and Reports for U.S. Congress. Open border advocates, special interest groups in the United States do not appreciate this information made public although the facts have been readily available and widely distributed. Condemning U.S. Laws as cruel and inhumane lacks any measure of common sense when the majority of nations in the world including Mexico have very strict immigration policies.

I would suggest that before you take sides with Obama and Calderon in criticizing our Country and the AZ immigration law, that you take a close look at just a few of the 116+ articles of the Mexican Immigration Laws. Your spew of the Progressive “social justice” spin on how a Christian should act is right out of the Pelosi’s hypocritical strategy book of using Jesus’s name in vain. Mexico is a highly majority Christian country, yet they seem to take their Immigration laws several steps further as seen below:

Original intent of the 14th Amendment
The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads in part:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the State wherein they reside.”

Babies born to illegal alien mothers within U.S. borders are called anchor babies because under the 1965 immigration Act, they act as an anchor that pulls the illegal alien mother and eventually a host of other relatives into permanent U.S. residency. (Jackpot babies is another term).

The United States did not limit immigration in 1868 when the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified. Thus there were, by definition, no illegal immigrants and the issue of citizenship for children of those here in violation of the law was nonexistent. Granting of automatic citizenship to children of illegal alien mothers is a recent and totally inadvertent and unforeseen result of the amendment and the Reconstructionist period in which it was ratified.

Post-Civil War reforms focused on injustices to African Americans. The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 to protect the rights of native-born Black Americans, whose rights were being denied as recently-freed slaves. It was written in a manner so as to prevent state governments from ever denying citizenship to blacks born in the United States. But in 1868, the United States had no formal immigration policy, and the authors therefore saw no need to address immigration explicitly in the amendment.

In 1866, Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by stating:
“Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country.”

This understanding was reaffirmed by Senator Edward Cowan, who stated:
“[A foreigner in the United States] has a right to the protection of the laws; but he is not a citizen in the ordinary acceptance of the word…”

The phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” was intended to exclude American-born persons from automatic citizenship whose allegiance to the United States was not complete. With illegal aliens who are unlawfully in the United States, their native country has a claim of allegiance on the child. Thus, the completeness of their allegiance to the United States is impaired, which therefore precludes automatic citizenship.

Supreme Court decisions
The correct interpretation of the 14th Amendment is that an illegal alien mother is subject to the jurisdiction of her native country, as is her baby.

Over a century ago, the Supreme Court appropriately confirmed this restricted interpretation of citizenship in the so-called “Slaughter-House cases” [83 US 36 (1873) and 112 US 94 (1884)]13. In the 1884 Elk v.Wilkins case12, the phrase “subject to its jurisdiction” was interpreted to exclude “children of ministers, consuls, and citizens of foreign states born within the United States.” In Elk, the American Indian claimant was considered not an American citizen because the law required him to be “not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction and owing them direct and immediate allegiance.”
The Court essentially stated that the status of the parents determines the citizenship of the child. To qualify children for birthright citizenship, based on the 14th Amendment, parents must owe “direct and immediate allegiance” to the U.S. and be “completely subject” to its jurisdiction. In other words, they must be United States citizens.

Congress subsequently passed a special act to grant full citizenship to American Indians, who were not citizens even through they were born within the borders of the United States. The Citizens Act of 1924, codified in 8USCSß1401, provides that:
The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:
(a) a person born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;
(b) a person born in the United States to a member of an Indian, Eskimo, Aleutian, or other aboriginal tribe.

In 1889, the Wong Kim Ark Supreme Court case10,11 once again, in a ruling based strictly on the 14th Amendment, concluded that the status of the parents was crucial in determining the citizenship of the child. The current misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment is based in part upon the presumption that the Wong Kim Ark ruling encompassed illegal aliens. In fact, it did not address the children of illegal aliens and non-immigrant aliens, but rather determined an allegiance for legal immigrant parents based on the meaning of the word domicil(e). Since it is inconceivable that illegal alien parents could have a legal domicile in the United States, the ruling clearly did not extend birthright citizenship to children of illegal alien parents. Indeed, the ruling strengthened the original intent of the 14th Amendment.

The original intent of the 14th Amendment was clearly not to facilitate illegal aliens defying U.S. law and obtaining citizenship for their offspring, nor obtaining benefits at taxpayer expense. Current estimates indicate there may be between 300,000 and 700,000 anchor babies born each year in the U.S., thus causing illegal alien mothers to add more to the U.S. population each year than immigration from all sources in an average year before 1965.

American citizens must be wary of elected politicians voting to illegally extend our generous social benefits to illegal aliens and other criminals.’

Mexico: Merida funds must be frozen until human rights conditions are met

Amnesty International today urged the US Congress to honour its commitment to withhold 15% of funding of the Merida Initiative until the Mexican government fulfils its human rights obligations. The organization said the Mexican government has failed to make sufficient progress in the investigation and prosecution of human rights abuses by security forces.

I agree with your sentiment to an extent, about business’s and personally I’d support a TOUGH law on any business that does hire em, but the bottom line is the federal government only has ONE real job and that’s to protect it’s citizens. Making business’s take the place of the INS isn’t really 100% the answer either. What should, and isn’t going to happen, is a multi-prong approach. Plug the border, get tough on business’s, tell Mexico to FIX all of their issues and quit state sponsoring illegal immigration. There are tons of things that could be done but there are also tons of people that do NOT want anything to change, for a whole variety of reasons and unfortunately, they are in power.

Thanks to this U.S. President and Calderon of Mexico, the citizens of Arizona are now subjected to what can lead to a Civil War on U.S. soil.

Another concern in the illegal immigration debate:

The Fourteenth Amendment currently is being interpreted to grant automatic birthright citizenship to children born in the United States of illegal alien parents (called anchor babies because under the 1965 immigration Act, they act as an anchor that pulls the illegal alien mother and eventually a host of other relatives into permanent U.S. residency). This clearly is contrary to the original intent of Congress and the States in ratifying the Fourteenth Amendment.

In 1889, the Wong Kim Ark Supreme Court case10,11, in a ruling based strictly on the 14th Amendment, concluded that the status of the parents was crucial in determining the citizenship of the child. The current misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment is based in part upon the presumption that the Wong Kim Ark ruling encompassed illegal aliens. In fact, it did not address the children of illegal aliens and non-immigrant aliens, but rather determined an allegiance for legal immigrant parents based on the meaning of the word domicil(e). Since it is inconceivable that illegal alien parents could have a legal domicile in the United States, the ruling clearly did not extend birthright citizenship to children of illegal alien parents. Indeed, the ruling strengthened the original intent of the 14th Amendment.
The original intent of the 14th Amendment was clearly not to facilitate illegal aliens defying U.S. law and obtaining citizenship for their offspring, nor obtaining benefits at taxpayer expense. Current estimates indicate there may be between 300,000 and 700,000 anchor babies born each year in the U.S., thus causing illegal alien mothers to add more to the U.S. population each year than immigration from all sources in an average year before 1965.

American citizens are born to American parents or at least to an American mother.

Actually States are always challenging the Federal Government when it comes to the 10th Amendment to the Constitution; It is simple and broad in its scope –”THE POWERS NOT DELEGATED TO THE UNITED STATES BY THE CONSTITUTION, NOR PROHIBITED BY IT TO THE STATES, ARE RESERVED TO THE STATES RESPECTIVELY,OR TO THE PEOPLE”.

Now take a look at Article I Section 10 of the Constitution: ” No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War,”UNLESS ACTUALLY INVADED,OR IN SUCH IMMINENT DANGER AS WILL NOT ADMIT OF DELAY”.

In that last sentence in Article I,Section 10, Arizona clearly has this highlighted argument right out of the Constitution when it comes to defending the reason Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer signed SB 1070. Clearly Arizonans feel invaded by those coming across their southern border and they have the statistics and evidence to prove they are being invaded.

Under the Constitution the Federal Government is required to provide for the well being and safety of the American people ,but it is failing to do its job on the Arizona Border. The liberal politicians in Washington have become so warped in their responsibility to the American People that they are ignoring their Constitutional responsibilities in favor of reaching out for a large block of votes from Hispanics in the future.

I do not admit to being a great scholar, or having went to an Ivy-league college, but I think it is safe to say that the congress is truly behaving out of place.
