In a ruling that said Ashcroft could be sued for prosecutorial abuses, a three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals denied the former attorney general immunity from liability for how he used the material witness warrants in national security investigations.
Members of the panel, all appointees of Republican presidents, characterized Ashcroft’s detention policy as “repugnant to the Constitution, and a painful reminder of some of the most ignominious chapters of our national history.”

I had a similar incident recently. I called my cable company to complain that I was no longer getting an HD feed. The technician on the phone said, “what channel”. I said “FOX News”. The tone in his voice changed dramatically. Then basically he said “I can’t help you. It’s probably your cable box. Bring it to the office.” I said, “Dude, I’m renting this box from you. Come out and replace it.”

I have cablevision and it stinks. They have cable packages and if you want Foxnews, you have to get BET, MTV(BET under another name), VH1(a.k.a.BET), TLC(a.k.a.BET), ABC, NBC, CBS(all a.k.a. BET), and so on and so on, you get the picture. Cablevision still refuses to broadcast FoxBusiness, just like they did for the longest time with FoxNews. I remember having to watch it on the internet.

Glenn Beck is a Patriot. He cares for this country and he wants people to know what is happening. Now more than ever people should pay attention to him since networks such as NBC and papers such as the New York Times are extremely biased and try to bury the truth.
I think that people who don’t like the Constitution of this country, don’t like the Christian values on which this country was founded, and don’t like capitalism, should go live in Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, etc. These countries should satisfy their needs much better than the United States. Stop trying to change good morals and capitalism into immorality and communism. We are the United States of America, one nation under God. And yes, I’m Hispanic (Puerto Rican) and I love this country. It’s the best one in the world. If you think otherwise go and live with the Castro brothers in Cuba, see how they treat their own people, not the tourists.

I am and have ALWAYS been proud to be an American. We have the Constitution and the first amendment, among others. I do not understand why it has become OK to launch crude insults and attempts at humor if someone has a different opinion. I was taught that a difference of opinion was dealt with in a give and take discussion of the issue.Is that no longer how we deal with these differences in America? True, the first amendment protects the right to say those kind of things but if it didn’t work on the playground in 4th grade, why would it work now ? Besides, the kids in 4th grade doing this were the bullies who were intellectually challenged and SURELY that is not the case here….is it?

I am getting quite good at identifying the Loony Leftists’ comments because inevitably during their diatribe they will spout off about how Glenn “rants and raves”. This immediately identifies the person as someone who has NEVER WATCHED HIS SHOW!!!! I watched Glenn when he was on the Chicken Noodle Network, and appreciate his wit, style, and class even more since he’s “moved on up” to FOX. I have never seen him “rant and rave”; given, there was one video of his RADIO show where he came unglued at a caller who had obviously never listened to his show and was quoting chapter and verse from the Obama Playbook. I look forward to watching each and every show. Sure, he does some goofy skits every once in awhile, but underneath the goofiness is a sincere love and concern for our great Country. He asks some very reasonable questions (ones we should ALL be asking) about the shenanigans going on in Washington, and to date no one from the Obamanure Admin has deigned (or dared) to answer. And for those spouting “Where was he during the Bush Admin?” well, he was calling for Bush to be impeached over the lack of security at our borders and ports, he was railing against the Patriot Act, and he was exposing the greed and lies happening on BOTH sides of the aisle! Please keep up the great work, Glenn, the REAL Americans are backing you a hundred and ten per cent!
Realitychek, Just because you believe doctors,lawyers are so intelligent, does not make it so. Wake up why do you think their are so many lawsuits against doctors. Lawyers what a joke they are. Just because you came from one of the higher institutions of learning doesn’t make you intelligent it means you possibly have a degree in your chosen field. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eye of her screaming parents.
The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.
Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
A New York Times reporter has watched the whole event.
The reporter says, “Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I ever saw a man do in my whole life.”
The biker replies, “Why , it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.”
The reporter says, “Well, I’m a journalist from the New York Times, and tomorrow’s paper will have this story on the front page…
So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?”
The biker replies, “I’m a U.S. Marine and a Republican.”
The following morning the biker buys The New York Times to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on front page:

To those of you saying that this was just a typo…are you actually being serious? A typo is something that happens by mistake. What happened with Glenn Beck’s name was not a mistake.
Let’s use some examples of typo’s: teh=the, pwn=own, hai=hi. These increasingly popular internet words came about because, whoops, someone was typing too fast and misspelled them. I assure you, I am trying to discover how the letters ‘i’, ‘f’, and the symbol ‘”‘ could have been typos. So, let’s take a closer look into this:
The letter ‘i’ isn’t found anywhere in Glenn Beck’s name, but it is close to the letters ‘l’ and ‘k’ on the keyboard, however, the proximity of the letter ‘i’ following an ‘n’ and needing another ‘n’ to finish Glenn’s first name would indicate that this letter was intentional.
The letter ‘f’ isn’t found anywhere in Glenn Beck’s name, but it is close to the letters ‘g’ ‘b’ and ‘c’ on the keyboard, however, since typing Glenn’s first name has past and we’ve moved on to his last name (and have completely forgotten the ’spacebar’ key), the proximity of the letter ‘f’ to the letter ‘b’ would indicate that this letter was intentional.
I’ll leave it up to you decide how a quotation mark got mixed up within the letters of Glenn Beck’s name.
And, even if, the Cablevision operator doesn’t use a QWERTY keyboard and uses some device that lists the alphabet alphabetically, ‘i’ and ‘f’ won’t be near each other, and it would take some ‘accidental’ finesse to add a ‘”‘.
Yep, I’m being obnoxious. The probability of Glenif”ck stemming from Glenn Beck as a typo is slim to none. To those that think that this truly was an honest to goodness typo mistake with no ill intentions projected purposefully, I say, please reevaluate your position on the subject.
Listen to Glenn’s words and what he believes in and you’ll discover that he is similar to yourself or other people that you know in person. He loves his country, his family, his God and he dislikes both political parties equally. He is not a Republican, but he is a conservative. I don’t always agree with everything he says, and that’s okay, but he does make some really good points. I don’t particularly like Sean Hannity because he elevates Bush to a level that I don’t think that man deserves, but I’m not about to go ranting and raving against the guy, calling him names and attacking his character just because I don’t agree with him. Let’s all get out of this third grade mentality and discuss issues like the respectful adults we can be. I know this mindset makes me a hate-mongerer to some, but so be it.
Watched tonight’s joint session of congress infomercial. The libs are f’n unraveling… Obama included. I smiled through almost the entire thing.

It is unfortunate that so many people are opposed to Fox News. I wonder where they getting that input from. I watched Glen Beck, and many others, that use to be on CNN…a News Co., that took responsibility when
Ted Turner ran it. Glen Beck is a true warrior, for the American Spirit Those who attack him are cowards.
I turned to Fox News during the Natalie Holloway situation in Aruba, because all the other stations stopped reporting. Now it’s the only station I watch. All the other, NBC, CNN, etc., in my opioion, are no longer informative on any major issues, and more than this, they are deliberately misleading their viewers..passing out blinders, as it were.. turning them into sheep. There should be some accountability for their negligent disregard for the truth..I guess that’s what the ratings show.
I see and watch Obama and I am reminded…all that glitters is not gold!

Glenn is our hero during these times of unrest. He has a handle on things and tells it like it is. I only wish we had more reporters/news people who had the guts to speak the truth.

The truly refreshing thing about the Glenn Beck show is that he asks intelligent questions and expects his audience to use their brains to figure out an answer. This is in contrast to the MSNBC / CNN / NBC / ABC palate that tries to tell their audience how and what to think. This is the difference between engagement and propaganda. The word for the day should be “subversion” as it seems the goal is to undermine American exceptionalism as we have come to enjoy.
After fifty years of working I thought I could live comfortably with peace and liberty. With the national debt piling up I see hyper inflation on the horizen. With Cap and Trade, Health care reform, and probably the Value Added Tax warming up in the wings, instead of a comfortable retirement I may be looking at a retirement of poverty. Keep hammering them Glen.
