Elected leaders must have their (and their immediate family's) finances placed into a blind trust while campaigning and for two years after leaving office.
Clawback – it is something congress invented. Appoint a team of special prosecutors to investigate every single elected official for insider trading going all the way back to Washington (if we have to)! Appropriate any ill-gotten gains, plus interest, and pay off the debt (that they created).
