Breitbart to CNN’s King: It’s Not About Shirley Sherrod It’s About NAACP Attacking Tea Party

Andrew Breitbart reminds CNN's John King that the real context of the Shirley Sherrod videos at the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner begins with last week's resolution by the NAACP labeling the Tea Party movement as racist.

He also asks if King and the rest of the main stream media will provide the same opportunity to the Tea Party leaders to explain themselves, and show the exculpatory video from the March 20th health care protest in Washington where Rep Andre Carson falsely accused them of yelling racial slurs.

Ah, the NAACP
Spews racism and hate as we have been able to see
This woman is just the tip
Of how the NAACP is equipped
To continue the "New Black Slavery."

The real question is why the White House did this to this poor lady, I mean c'mon this thing stinks to high heaven and all of the stench is emanating from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

These communist bastards in the White House are trying to spark a race war, Chairman O needs it to be able assume total power and call off the election.

Think about it, his pal Bill Ayers the terrorist wanted this when he was running the weathermen, he actually had contact regularly with Charlie Manson who also wanted race war.

Bill Ayers immersed himself in black liberation theology and has VERY STRONG ties to the NBPP and Louis Farakhan who also has ties to white supremacist Tom Metzger.

Don't forget Van Jones with his advocacy as recently as 2004 calling for violent revolution through his "stormfront" mass murder manual.

None of this is an accident, this time the hippie radicals have power, this time they may actually get their evil race war if we fail to call them on their every move.

Thank you, Missy 8. You got this right.

"Controversial" conversation with AB? The controversy is the NAACP and the CBC and the creepy fake journalists at the "Journo" for colluding and making the accusations of racism in the first place.

Sherrod was also involved in the Pigford case (American Thinker July 20) which involved Sherrod getting millions and possibly her job at USDA in settlements from black "farmer" claims where there were more claims made than there were "farmers". Total claiims will be about a billion. The claims are still being paid out and Obama wanted her fired to get her out of the spotlight to hide the back story?

Way to go AB.

Fantastic response Andrew! Yes, you are right to keep hammering that this is about the NAACP audience's response more than about Shirley Sherrod. Keep these videos coming. This is really heating up, as it needs to.

The racist underpinnings of the Tea Party, AB, Fox News, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh and right-wing conservatives are becoming more apparent every day.

It is time for Americans to refudiate the new Klan.

Typical response coming from the MSM, who put their heads in the sand over the NAACP' s reckless accusations, yet claim that Breitbart was wreckless in regards to Ms. Sherrod. Their blatant attempt to change the narrative misses one fact…Andrew Breitbart DID NOT FIRE Ms. Sherrod. She was fired due to her own words and the hypocrisy and corruptness of the NAACP and government bureaucrats who were embarrassed by those words.

iconoclastKM   July 21st, 2010 - 3:26 am

moronpolitics   July 21st, 2010 - 4:07 am

Unlike the left who takes a few minutes out of a basically all day walkaround interview with Sarah Palin and keeps the rest secret and unavailable forever Mr. Breitbart has the entire interview as well as MSM criticism of himself. Not only will the MSM now tacitly claim that this was an attack on Sherrod rather than the audience, but the IDIOTS — and I hate to insult low IQ people with the association — the idiots on "our" side are already joining in with them…. Bill Bennett has already said this is a major black mark on —guess who? — Breitbart and called for a belly crawling apology…… Duh. Of course, Breitbart did not fire her, has shown the exculpatory parts and decried her firing. She is , of course, welcome at a TEA party meeting any time she wants to show up. I suggest she do so.

claspur   July 21st, 2010 - 11:11 am

thezealousone   July 21st, 2010 - 9:05 am

There are several things going on and it is about an irresponsible media.

The media has acted irresponsibly more than once by reporting first and investigating last and this is especially true with their sensationalist claims of “racism”. They trashed Helen Thomas claiming in headlines she said the “Jews should go back to Europe” when she said nothing of the kind according to the actual complete video of her interview. She implied that the new Israeli settlers in Gaza that just came from Europe etc should go back home, and they had no right to displace people who lived there for years.

Now they jump on this Sherrod lady like flies at a picnic claiming she made racist statements.

Each and every media organization involved needs sued by Helen Thomas and Sherrod and for defamation.

Lastly the media itself needs examined for its own racist policies that have resulted in a huge unfair under-representation in the media itself of the most prevalent demographic groups in the USA. Examine it and decide for yourself.

Wasilla_Fizzeled   July 21st, 2010 - 9:16 am

It is exactly as the video showed. Here is the deal. She helped a white man out in 20 years ago. This racist black was video taped in March 2010 upon her realizing she would never be fired as she has stated and felt free to show that she is a racist. Since then she has gotten the typical black government employees attitude. This is even worse now that the is a black foreigner in the WHITE HOUSE.

The is a cover story put out by the NAACP, nothing more!!!

Wasilla_Fizzeled   July 21st, 2010 - 9:40 am

Black Straw men along with the jewish owned media are setting this woman up to be the next black martyr.

Why, because jews use blacks as strawmen so that whites can be punished for all the wrongs in the world and the jews are the last people standing!.

freewhite21   July 21st, 2010 - 11:34 pm

Am usually in Breitbart's corner on most of the things he does, but this time things are not so "black and white"–to use a bad pun. Have some questions and thoughts, and hope nobody's feelings get too incensed by them.

Whose idea was it to EDIT the video in the first place?
WHY didn't Breitbart play the entire story (not the full hour-plus video,
but the full "parable" of this woman's racism and how she ultimately
"saw the light" and realized that living with hatred was not the right way)?
(By the way, wasn't the harsh fact that her father was killed by a white man
(who apparently was not prosecuted) a relevant fact in her life that could
understandably taint her opinions toward white people–and make it all
the more poignant that eventually she rose above her prejudice?)

WHAT would have been the results, had Breitbart chosen to air the whole story?
People would have seen something POSITIVE HAPPENING IN AMERICAN RACE-RELATIONS!
Apparently, that would have SPOILT certain FACTIONS' desires to keep fomenting racial
strife and tensions in the USA. WHO or WHAT is Breitbart working FOR, anyway? Thought
he was working for an America that gets back on the right, healthy path, instead of the
MESS we have become. Is all this focus on RACE-BAITING really doing anything GOOD for us?

Let's hope Breitbart and everyone else has learned a lesson from this:
Don't be trying to PAINT PEOPLE INTO SOMETHING THAT FITS YOUR AGENDA.
EITHER LET THEM SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, WITHIN CONTEXT, AND DON'T BE
TAKING THEIR REMARKS OUT OF CONTEXT. OR DON'T USE THEIR REMARKS AT ALL.

P.S.
And a couple final thoughts, since there is enough criticism/blame to go around:
The NAACP of late HAS seemed to be RACE-BAITING every chance it gets–which is a dead-end
street for most Americans as we are SICK of such manipulation.
Ms. Sherrod DID seem to ENJOY the trashing of "white folks" a bit much in the first part of her story!
The O-Administration DID "JUMP THE GUN" at firing her, without knowing the full story.
Many of us, self included, have allowed the relentless RACE-BAITING that's been going on,
in many venues, to tweak our sensibilities and arouse some kneejerk responses in
ourselves that in retrospect seem ill advised.

Maybe this whole unfortunate episode can eventually become, as the Great O might put it,
"a teachable moment"? Regardless of the outcome of this situation, I for one enjoyed
learning about this woman's background and the harsh realities she had endured as a
young black woman who lost her father (don't remember if she said WHAT MOTIVATED
the killing–whether the killer knew her father or not). Maybe it we had more opportunities
to see each other as HUMANS, each struggling to survive and grow, instead of simply
viewing each other as some COLOR or PROBLEM, we all might benefit.

In the meantime, wish we could get back to focusing on the real problems confronting us
and stop obsessing about RACE and COLOR. Thanks for listening and hope nobody's feelings
got too offended.

politicsman   July 22nd, 2010 - 6:35 am

This guy Breitbart has no ethics. And what a laughing stock and a joke. He pretends what he is doing has nothing to do with Sherrod. Yeah right. Everyone sees through this. He is such a liar.

johnrf12   July 22nd, 2010 - 12:14 pm

Of course I'm questioning Obama. He was wrong. See, those of us who think can question the actions of the president. He's not perfect, he only looks that way because of the president who preceded him. He makes mistakes and we confront him. Mostly I support what he is trying to do but when he makes a mistake I write to him and call him on it.
I think the reason that many Obama supporters are not so quick to condemn his mistakes is because of you right wingers who are so over the top that we sensible people are afraid someone will think we are a part of your absurd relentless dishonest racist attacks on the president.
One need not look beyond the comments on this page to see examples of racism, unfair attacks and vile nonsense that is constantly spewed by the sheep who follow blindly the ravings of lunatics who pollute our society on fox news and sites like this cesspool.
You should stop and try to understand that what you are doing by following the Becks is hurting our country. You have to stop.

johnrf12   July 22nd, 2010 - 12:17 pm

Why don't you madjewess grab a dictionary and learn what the terms you spew really mean. You take a lot of words, some capitalized to make you look so very silly, to say absolutely nothing of substance.

johnrf12   July 22nd, 2010 - 12:20 pm

No, both sides don't do it. Fox News and the right wing are not doing news. They are lying constantly and distorting the news. Both sides do it? Not by a long shot. To often we pretend that it is important to see both sides of an argument. But sometimes, more and more lately, one side is completely wrong and not worthy of attention. It is a waste of time to try and see their side when their side is lying.

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:22 pm

Oh, it's clear the new Klan is alive and well in America. They just don't wear sheets in public by and large. The Klan is underground and alive an well. The TP movement is largely ignorant Klan sympathizer's! Where's my proof? Look at the racist signs they hold so proudly. I rest my case.

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:24 pm

It's so very obvious isn't it!

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:26 pm

FACT: There are far more whites on welfare than any other racial group in America. You just can't make up things like FIX'd news you know!

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:30 pm

This country is toast. Chinese own what's left of it. This windbag AB is nothing more than a racist hatchetman doin' the dirty work for the political power brokers, that's all. This country was sold out by the rich, both dem's and repug's, during the Reagan Admin. Once white's become the minority things will eventually change. The US is a generation and a half from finally cleansing itself of white dominance and hatred. Hispanics will rule soon enough. Thank God!

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:32 pm

You can tell the truth by the number of negs to this post. White biggots don't like seeing the truth posted on this site. What's it like being a racist filled with such hatred towards another person based on the color of their skin? What a wasted life, and how ignorant can one be!

veteranamerican   July 22nd, 2010 - 8:35 pm

Haha, that's so funny!!! ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL these black groups. Give me a bleepin break. You mean the 3 man new black panther party movement? Why are whites so threatened to go into black neighborhoods alone, but blacks won't hesitate to go into a strictly white neighborhood? Because blacks don't live in fear, and so many white people live their entire life afraid of change. Hence, the TP! Racism no more, plz.

mcgpa1   July 22nd, 2010 - 9:05 pm

Shame on conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart. Shame on USDA head Tom Vilsack. Shame on the NAACP. And shame on the Obama administration. Shame on all of them for their astonishing rush to judgement earlier this week in the Shirley Sherrod case. What happened to Sherrod is an embarrassing reminder of the racial dysfunction in America today and how politics continues to play a critical role in this ugliness.

Except Andrew is still lying and you're still taking him at his word without checking out the video. For a real analysis of the video: http://www.slate.com/id/2261552/

Now what?

iconoclastKM   July 24th, 2010 - 3:11 pm

Shirley Sherrod:
"What he (the white farmer) didn't know was that I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him.”

This remark is followed by audience murmuring and laughter.

Andrew Breitbart has stated from the beginning of day one that his intention in posting the video was to highlight the current innate bigotry of the 2010 NAACP as depicted in this audience reaction, as well as the NAACP's recent resolution concerning its accusation of racism on the part of the Tea Party Movement which came on the very heels of Michelle Obama's address to the organization in which she stated that racial inequities still persist in the U.S. today.

Two important things to note…

*The White House prematurely acted by firing Shirley Sherrod almost right on the spot, without any vetting process ever taking place.

*The idiotic and bigoted 2010 version of the NAACP immediately condemned and threw her under the bus EVEN though the organization was in possession of the entire 45 minute speech.

iconoclastKM   July 24th, 2010 - 3:11 pm

By the way, johnrf12, I read your suggested Slate piece and I’d like you to view an interesting few minute exchange on MSNBC of all places http://www.breitbart.tv/coulter-media-makes-sherr...

…that is if you can “handle it“.

Saint Stormbly   August 2nd, 2010 - 2:47 pm

PLEASE LEARN THIS AND PASS IT ON. – – – We are a Republic not a Democracy.

REPUBLIC vs. DEMOCRACY

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,
and to the ~~"Republic"~~ for which it stands,
one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

SUMMARY

In the Pledge of Allegiance we all pledge allegiance to our Republic, not to a democracy. "Republic" is the proper description of our government, not "democracy." I invite you to join me in raising public awareness regarding that distinction.
A republic and a democracy are identical in every aspect except one. In a republic the sovereignty is in each individual person. In a democracy the sovereignty is in the group.
