I know NOTHING about video cameras….but he was asked about that date specifically and this is a paraphrase of his answer as closely as I can remember.

i was just telling my wife the same thing (”Their willingness to submit falsified data surely put hundreds of thousands of people into homes with government backed mortgages that they neither qualified for or had any hope of paying”). i have been a licensed real estate appraiser for the past 11 years in 3 different states and have done appraisal reports for refi’s on sometimes the same property, same borrower 3 times in 1 year! some of these homes reeked of poverty. i would often leave the home after inspection wondering how in the hell did these borrowers qualify for a mortgage in the first place? this coupled with pressure from lenders and mortgage brokers to ‘hit’ the value. it was sickening. i would often have debates with brokers about who is actually picking up the tab (tax payer backed money) for these loans should they default? one time a guy offered a bribe “how much do i have to pay you to ‘hit’ the requested value”? anyway, i KNOW for a fact that, after seeing these videos, that if this is how these people operate then they would have NO PROBLEM getting around the paper work to falsify loan doc’s. or misrepresent income. i have had 11yrs. worth of ‘legitimate’ lenders / brokers able to do this with ease. your typical american tax payer has no idea how this housing burst was so easily manifested. i’ve seen it with my own eyes for 11yrs.

Entrapment is when one is coaxed into an illegal activity that you would never dream of doing otherwise; like if you refused to assist or advise them but they persisted or threatened you to help them. All they did, was say, ‘this is who we are, this is what we need, can you help us, etc. At every opportunity the ACORN employees gleefully assisted and gave advice on how to break the law. The employees never called the police, they never declined services, and they never showed one bit of disapproval. Each instance was identical. One may only conclude, that this is not a case of ‘entrapment’ or merely ‘a handful of bad employees’, but evidence of the ACORN manual of standards and operations in action. I was watching C-span last night and during a Senate hearing it was asked of the FBI to investigate. They will be investigating ACORN.
