While I feel he is one of the best actors of our time and one of the nicest – I need to fully disagree with him here. Tom – if you read this – understand that this is one time I cannot support what you say and do. And I am DOUBLY agahst that you have this position given the cuts our Mr. President has foisted on our space program. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I hope that over the next three years your opinion will be influenced more by Mr. President’s actions than his speeches. Otherwise, I will offer up my opinion to ‘SHUT UP’ and stick to acting.

Hanks isn’t 80% white-guilt driven, he is full 100% leftist as most of Hollywood is. Now if they ‘fight’ for the little guy because they feel guilty they make so much money, I doubt it. I think it is more to make people think, the celebrities really care, and so doing the public buys more of their videos or gives them more power. The left does this all the time. One of the reasons for welfare and babying the public is to make them dependent on the government, that way they stay in power. Conservatives believe in, instead of giving the public a fish to eat, they teach the public to fish and depend on themselves. That is truly the only way we can take care of those that really need the help.
The left believes in making the public dependent and the right believe in teaching people to be self-sufficient. Hanks would rather have dependency.
