I went to a Tea Party rally and agree with alot of what they believe in. However almost everyone I know is pretty left wing, they all think the Tea Party are racists. I do not live in the U.S. but as far as I understand taxes on dividends,capital gains are going UP next year along with surcharges on higher incomes. Also, the Bush tax cuts will be expiring which means those taxes are going UP along with health care taxes for everyone.
All these tax increases will accomplish is to help destroy small business thus destroying the employment engine of the economy.
Obama is just getting started. If he gets a second term,value added taxes and taxes on soft drinks etc will be initiated if he has the votes, further slowing the economic growth but growing the government sector.
These taxes will not come close to paying for Obama’s spending – then income taxes will then be slapped on lower incomes.
In the end the productive people will be eliminated and the non productive increased.
Unlike Maher, the Tea Party people understand this.

I keep hearing about these tax cuts…..I haven’t seen them. I’m just under the middle class tax bracket and over the past few months they’ve started taking out an ADDITIONAL 15.00 a week!!!! Thats an extra 60.00 a month. That could pay a bill! So where’s my tax break?
