America…a big thank you to Bill Cosby for weighing in on this subject!

Bill Cosby has been out in the community for years trying to speak to the black community about how to improve their plight in life.

He is a man who has made it in America!

He, too, came across the same obstacles that every man/woman come across while trying to make it in America! He overcame the obstacles, like others have, by sheer determination to make it!

Bill Cosby is a man that American teenagers of all races should look at and try to emulate! He is a man of character, substance, conviction and Bill Cosby is not afraid to get involved in making America better!

Thank you for speaking up and speaking out…we appreciate your input!

Bill Cosby is a very intelligent man…
after all these years as a celebrity he manages to remain above the fray…
Good call.
Good judgement…
Good man.
Our differences as American’s should and could strengthen us as a people…But to easily the differences, even though small, are frequently used to divide us. I think Obama slipped into the latter with his remarks around this incident.
Hope and change brother….
Hope and change…
Can we ever get out of this racial divisiveness?

He’s a leader that anyone with half a brain SHOULD look up to.
I think he hedged his bet a little at the end there, but all in all he’s always been a wise and well thought out man.

I like Bill Cosby quite a bit. I think he is cutting way too much slack to Obama but I forgive him for that. Obama on the other hand is an absolute racist jerk and you will not find much forgiveness for that empty-suit chicagoland putz. After reading the details of the case the black professor lost his cool and acted like an out of control and utter jerk. The cops did their job admirably. And the liberal press is sucking obama butt in order to cover up his repeatedly stupidity.

H2K   July 23rd, 2009 - 6:12 pm

Rush. No, not Limbaugh. But the pace at which Obama wants to move. This guy never worked on a complex project before where teams were involved, and negotiations had to take place. He thinks he can stamp his feet and it’s all done….no matter how hair-brained the scheme.
Thanks to Mr Huckstable for trying to bring the tone down a notch.

But like Mr Alford said, why do we have to counter a poor statement uttered by a bl@ck person with a statement from another bl@ck person. It’s so bad these days that a wise whyte person can’t correct the mis-statment of a marist radical liberal bl@ck person.

-I too like Bill Cosby {a lot} and I applaud his effort to neutralize this controversy. I wasn’t there either however, it appears from comments made that Mr Gates is a bit egocentric and let his emotions get away from himself; causing the police to react in kind. I feel badly for the police officer and his family. He was doing his job and doing well!!

Multi-millionaire free American and still afraid to speak the truth. Shaking my head at Bill Cosby. Again.

Rex   July 23rd, 2009 - 9:23 pm

Cosby / Condi 2012!

Nor72   July 23rd, 2009 - 9:27 pm

Learn how to spell! “Judgment” has only one “e!”

I enjoyed Cosby’s very cautious comments. Obama could take a lesson!

dr jay   July 23rd, 2009 - 10:35 pm

yep barry, id shake my head at his family values too. he’s so moral, and married, and educated, and non substance abusing, and stuff.
clean up your own back yard!

Actually, Nor, it can be spelled either way. What difference does spelling make, when it has nothing to do with the matter at hand?
That having been said, Dr Cosby gave an example of how our President should formulate a considered, well thought out response to as question. Hedging his bets or not, he obviously took the time to think about what he was saying, rather than just giving in wholeheartedly to a kneejerk response.
I have, do, and most likely always will admire Bill Cosby. If I didn’t think that politics would swallow him whole, I would say that it is a shame that he isn’t an elected official, somewhere.

Tim   July 23rd, 2009 - 11:34 pm

Ummm…thanks Danske. I never realised that an auctioneer could be that boring. What did that have to do with this subject?

nor72   July 23rd, 2009 - 11:46 pm

Sorry Tim, only one way to spell judgment. Internet dictionaries are for losers.

Tim   July 24th, 2009 - 12:39 am

I guess that the copy of The Oxford Dictionary of English, sitting on my desk was written by losers, as well. Ms Soanes and Mr Stevenson will be crushed to hear of your judgement of them and their work. Silly Brits. What would they know about the English language, anyway? Don’t they realise that the times, they are a’changin’?
Again, what difference does that make to the article?

Buck Cronkite   July 24th, 2009 - 4:17 am

Don’t worry, Tim, you have William Shakespeare on your side. And Nor… well, we’ll see. Willie Nelson, maybe.

mark   July 24th, 2009 - 6:31 am

You go Bill..Some where down the road more black people are going to emulate you and all will win from it. (I did crack the dictionary on emulate wishing to avoid more controvery!)
Mark

Well, now I “realize” why we have this little disagreement. We have a geographical issue. “Judgment,” spelled with one “e” is American, as am I. (and the website in question) You are spelling the word based on 16th century traditions. I can see a lot of “Old World” spelling in the Declaration of Independence as well. But that document was written 233 years ago! You Brits do seem to like to live in the past. Perhaps because that was when you were a great nation!

Eddie   July 28th, 2009 - 8:59 pm

Yo, Al Sharpton, Farrakhan and Jesse. Watch and listen to Mr. Cosby. You just may learn something about relating to those of color or those not of color. Thank you Bill Cosby. Still one of the smartest and most sensible entertainers in our country!
