Glad to see it. Glenn puts himself out there for the benefit of us all, it’s great to see he is getting some well earned credit for the work he does. I could not help but think of all of the “entitlement” minded students at Berkley, and UCLA rioting for their “rights” to a state funded education and here stands a man who could not afford college, but went out and worked for a living instead of demanding his education be paid in part for him. Quite the contrast.

just goes to show you that there still are humble people in this world and that you can be educated and learn how to think and analyze without a college degree if you are motivated enough. I would venture that Glenn’s speech was actually motivating without once dissing anyone else or putting down his country. I haven’t heard it all, so I could be incorrect, but I doubt it.

I am actually more impressed with Glenn BECAUSE he cries. It shows that he is sincere and not a phony like politicians. He cried like a baby at the American Revival in Phoenix when he introduced the doctor that delivered his special needs daughter. Him and Palin are so liked by conservatives because their passion is GENUINE. Do you think Obama even know the meaning of that word? I have to feel sorry for Glenn Beck in one thing. He seems to be afflicted with an emotional streak, the kind that causes a lump in the throat when you hear the Ballad of the Green Beret, when taps is played, when people rise up in one voice in concert to proclaim they will not go quietly into the night. It’s a sense of pride, honor, humility, dignity, that stirs the soul and it’s one of those embarrassing things that brings tears to the eyes and a stumble over words that I too have had to struggle with all of my life. It even makes me angry at times for having had others witness the effect. Still, at other times, I wish that more people knew what it felt like. It would do us all good.

Some will use those occasions to berate me, call names, get a laugh at my expense. Best that your laugh be one of sharing the affliction and understanding what makes it happen. Don’t ever confuse my blubbering as weakness to be taken advantage of because if you do you’ll pray that I don’t get you cornered for I’ll surely give you more to remember the moment by.

I always knew that Beck was a humble man. Those tears are real. He probably feels he doesn’t deserve such an honor and that is where he would be wrong. He has been on out there “walking the perimeter” standing watch for all of us. He has and continues to urge all of us to “think out of the box”. He stands at his chalk boards at tells us that to understand who we are, we must first know from where we came. He does this every Friday–”Founder’s Friday” to wet our appetites for those grand persons who first helped mold and shape our country. He may have not started the “Tea Parties”, but he certainly gave then a good send-off. He’s a 9/12er. On his show, he has his red phone at the ready, just in case the White House feels the need to call to correct him on any error he made have made during the show. They won’t because they can’t. All this while people call him “crazy” or a “conspiracy theorist”. Beck backs up everything he says. He tries to prepare us by saying that things are going to get tough. So far, he’s been right. He can scare the living hell out of us but can be be entertaining and down right hilarious too. He tells us that we can no longer depend on the MSM to get the truth. We’ll have to do it for ourselves. He has tried to teach us that the MSM is no longer reliable and we’ve all stand as witnesses to that. This is why Glen’s show is top rated for his time slot. He urges America to wake up and THINK! He also has an excellent radio program.

One of my favorite interviews of Beck is the one he did with Barbara Walters when Ms. Walter ask Glen about his claims about communist and Marxist “infiltrating” the White House. Beck’s response: “No, they didn’t infiltrate, they were invited.” That was a “Kodak Moment” for Ms. Walters!

“Humble” and “Patriotic” would be mere understatements of this man we have come to listen, and watch every day named Glen Beck. I would also add the words “God fearing” and “God loving”. I can’t think of a more deserving man for this honor than Glen Beck.

My beloved University of Tennessee just bestowed an Honorary Degree on Al Gore this week and made us sick to our stomachs. Tennessee was also listed as the lost corrupt state in the US this week. Primarily because of people operating like Gore’s family did for many years here. What a sham. I’m ashamed that UT has seen fit to do this over all the opposition. What has he done for this country? Do NOT even mention the global warming crap!
I congratulate Glenn on his honor. Call him emotional or whatever but that’s a mark of a man who has passion for his work and his country. Something missing from the regime. Liberty University should be congratulated for realizing what Beck has and is doing. I’ve said it before…people need to grit their teeth and listen to Glenn Beck. I have found with myself, that when you are being sincere and you feel the love of god and others you are more emotional. I am glad Glenn can show his emotions because it shows where his heart is. These tears are real and God know it. God bless him and his family. Feeling and emotion and love is what your belief in god does for you.

Glenn knows what god has done for him and god is in his heart, some that don’t believe deeply wouldn’t understand. Think about it…you wanted to go to colleged ….could afford to ….. was an alcoholic …mother killed herself…. totally turned his life around through Christ…sees god in everything ….. well…I’m emotional now.

I watch and listen to Glenn Beck, but I must comment that I think he is wrong by thinking we are going to eliminate these Socialist/Marxists at the ballot box! He is very naive in that sense. It is not in the ideology of Socialist/Marxists to concede power. He is the first to admit they are corrupt and criminals that will stop at nothing, so why does he think they will respect the rule of law and allow themselves to be voted out of power? Think about that Americans. If they cheat the ballot, or use the corrupt propagandist media to lie about the real results of the November elections, what then? Does Glenn have an answer for that?

Oh please, all beck cares about is ratings so he cash a bigger check. He’s putting on a show and a lot of dummies are buying it. He doesn’t care about the average american who is really struggling. You were in the service? Which country? Was it the peace corp? I’m reminded that Lee Harvey Oswald was once a Marine, but I don’t think the Corp nor I would much care to be associated. Being associated with communists isn’t the normal choice of people who love freedom and cherish those who fought for it.

The fact that Glenn Beck is educating people to what I learned decades ago and have lived through ever since should be refreshing to most people who’ve never been taught such things. The public education system has been the prime target of socialists for many years. Right now I’m working with kids who are getting the leftist brain washing in schools and they are shocked by what some of these teachers are trying to pawn off on them. Frankly, so am I.

You should be giving Glenn Beck credit for getting out the truth to as many people as possible, but instead you’re hell bent on attempting to berate him and anyone else who has seen the reality first hand over the years. A lot of people have a major including “Marx, Mao, Stalin, Hitler…” It’s called HISTORY! Just because you study these men does not mean that you accept or believe in their points of view. You study them so that you can recognize them in the future. Remember “those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it”?

People like to say Glenn is cashing in at the bank, I used to think that about him myself, and it may be true, however, think about it. Truly, the man risks his life every day. There is no doubt in my mind that there are people out there that would love nothing better for him to not be around, have an “accident”. I hate to think what he pays for security for himself and his family. I commend his family for willing to give up their freedom in their personal life so he can continue on his mission to save America. Most Americans are not willing to risk their lives for anything. To all the bashers, it’s easy to sit at home and write snarky comments, but tell me, could you do what he does? Do you have what it takes to change lives?

He might be making a boat load of cash, but there is a price for that cash, and he is earning every single penny of it. So say what you want w/the negative attacks, the man has BALLS. He is the only one to have the courage to speak out against the machine that is destroying our country. His red phone doesn’t ring for a reason. He is passionate, he believes in his cause, he is changing people’s lives for the better, he is dedicated, he is funny, he is a great teacher, he loves his family, and he LOVES his country. That’s all good in my book. Glenn Beck is a national treasure whether you like it or not.

One of the things on my wish list is to go visit Monticello w/Glenn. I can see TJ’s mountain from my house, and it is Glenn that made me take a different look at what is in my back yard.

America…how refreshing to hear a commencement speech ‘encouraging’ those who are graduating and going out into the world to make their way!
