Both Palin and Romney did awesome tonight. They show their influence and great humor when it comes to being put on the spot. Unlike the President right now who needs a teleprompter in his interviews. After he killed the fly he asked the teleprompter writer to start over at a certain point. I don’t think that would work for anyone else.
No one can deny that Palin has a very strong and devoted following. Not misguided but passionate and determined. Whether she is ready for the Presidency we will have to see. Even Romney stood up for her on the Letterman Show. And when it comes to her changing her position, they all have, they are all politicians, everyone from Palin to Ron Paul and others. The thing we need to do is find out their average and how they vote when no one is watching. The only definate is that we need someone with the right experience. As was proven through this President who had no experience.

Boy, oh boy, but WHAT a contrast between Letterman and Jay Leno!
There’s absolutely no wonder why it is that Jay Leno destroys Mr. Mean-Spirit Letterman in the ratings. Jay is upbeat, pleasant and jovial; and Mr. Mean-Spirit comes off grumpy and hateful with snide remarks, unable to contain himself. His audience is apparently a much smaller segment of American society.
But it’s true that both Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney came off quite well. Good for them!
Sarah is a natural,she endeared herself to the viewers with her self deprecating humor. You can see she is very likable, of course to the hateful, liberal, loons there is nothing she can do that is right.The camera likes her and she may have a future in TV, if she decides to leave the political scene. She seems right now to have a mission as an advocate for America!
Can we see energy separately from leases?
After seeing her on Jay Leno I came to the conclusion this women can do anything..she’s got it all.
How many people can pull of the monologue like she did.
Add to that all of her accomplishments in Alaska as city council member, oil and gas regulator, two term mayor then governor. As a fiscal conservative she cut Alaska’s budget by 30%, and gave Alaska a 6 billion dollar surplus. Took on big oil, rooted out corruption in her own party. She pushed through the biggest private sector infrastructure project in US history that set dormant for decades. The list goes on.

He only asked because he was getting so hammered from people just as mad as you from the other side telling him to ask the question! As a (hesitant) tea party member, it’s my understanding that any free thinker can join. I’m a conservative and am watching the tea party members try to drive a candidate under the tea party banner which I understood was not the goal. I learned a long time ago when I voted for a third party candidate that you only help the opposition win. Perry has been consistant with pro-life principles. You don’t realize how valuable leadership is until you don’t have it anymore. (i.e. 2008 elections)

That is why ’she’ was coming up in the polls, they were afraid of her message and it’s impact upon Texas and around the nation. But the smears about her were abounding and citizens, like yourself, decided not to vote on her based on the lies and innuendos.
However, that was then and this is now and it is over…Texas has spoken and I don’t intend to beat her candidacy into the ground.

I spent the evening listening to radio station KLIF in Texas to get a feel for the election results and what the people of Texas were thinking.
It was very sad to listen to listener after listener who in the majority voted for Debra Medina.
They were dumbfounded and disillusioned as to the outcome of the race…giving Bilderberg Perry over 50% of the vote.
They were trying to understand why anyone would vote for the status quo…when in 2010 we were to make changes to the status quo…but that did not happen in Texas.
The one caller I heard that voted for Perry might have zeroed in on the results…Texas has not been hit as hard as other states during the difficult economic times.
That they have jobs, their homes have retained their values and everything appears to be good on the outside.
They have large resources of oil, gas and cattle ranches galore.
So it appears Americans will only make change when they are hurting…and it appears that Texas is not yet hurting like the rest of us…so they are settling for status quo because they don’t want anything to change.
Almost all of them expressed how thrilled they were to vote for Debra Medina…that this primary was the first one that they felt they would not have to vote for ‘the lesser of two evils’…they actually had a choice in Debra Medina.
Many said this was the first time they had voted in a primary…but wanted to be a participant because they were happy with their choice and that they had a choice.
So to all of you patriots in Texas who did the right thing and voted for Debra Medina…do not be discouraged and downtrodden…what goes around comes around…and elections have consequences.
I just heard the other day that Texas has a surplus of funds in their till, but a majority of that money is government subsidy.
So as the time progresses things will change in Texas…and Bilderberg Perry will be presiding over a state that will have the same problems as the rest of America…then let us see what takes place.
To Debra Medina…you fought a great fight! You were a great candidate being the only ‘real’ conservative in the race. You stood for pro-life, better border patrol, states rights and doing away with the high property taxes Texans are experiencing.
You held your head high and did not back down when Glenn Beck blindsided you and wrote you off as a loon…which you are not! They are now trying to do the same to another ‘real’ conservative in Florida, Marco Rubio.
You did America proud…and you need to continue fighting for America and Texas…you are the kind of candidate we wish we all had in our states. Thank you for offering to serve, I was honored to support your candidacy. You did Texas proud and you did ‘real’ Americans across this Republic proud.

I’m not even sure Eileen is just one person. If so, she must sleep with her computer and wake up every half hour or so to post on these threads. She doesn’t seem to have anything else to do. On another line of thought: I liked it better when presidents and presidential candidates left the comedy to the professional comedians. It’s a pretty sad commentary on our society that these people feel like they have to get on late night shows and MTV and act like yahoos. And I think we have seen more than enough of Obama’s mug on TV.
