Bayh had his chance at greatness when he could have prevented the healthcare vote by stopping it at cloture. Had he done it, he could’ve changed the political discourse in Washington. He dutifully voted party line and therefore sealed his own political fate.
That lack of action cost him the opportunity to do what he claims wasn’t getting done. He had the chance and squandered it.
He finally figured out that the only way to work with the Obama administration is by showing them the door.

Maybe Sen. Bayh doesn’t want to be associated with the Socialist/Marxist/Progressive Democrats. I don’t recall alot of radicals ever coming from Indiana unless you count the Farmers involved in the Farm Strike in the 1970’s. Why would any half-way decent politician align themselves with people like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Obama?
If you believe as I do, that Socialist/Communist radicals have stolen the Democrat party then you can understand that they probably gave him a choice. “Get with the program or GET OUT!” Contrary to what most of you narrow minded Conservatives believe, Democrats and Liberals do not endorse Socialism, Marxism or Communism.
Just because Liberals and Conservatives have completely different opinions on various issues such as abortion, the death penalty, social programs, the enviroment, gay marriage, etc, that doesn’t mean the great majority of us support the Socialist/Marxist ideology of this Administration.
These Socialist/Marxists that have hijacked the Democrat Party are not representitive of most Democrats. Don’t forget that Liberal Democrats voted overwelmingly for Scott Brown in Massachusetts!! I’m also sure that much to the chagrin of most of you Conservatives that now think the Tea Party Movement belongs to the Republicans (which it doesn’t!) There are quite a number of “Liberal” Tea Partiers. The demise of the Tea Party movement will come when it endorses some whacked-out, ultra-right wing, moral-majority, straight laced career politician. Don’t be suckered like the Democrats were!!

2. Cap and Trade Carbon Tax will cost everyone $2,000 to $3,000 more for electricity.
3. Stimulus Bill $787 billion plus interest equals $850 billion democrat slush fund.
4. Omnibus Spending Bill is $410 billion with 9,000 pork barrel projects.
5. Obama tripled 2009 budget deficit from $455 billion to $1.4 trillion.
6. 2010 Defense Spending Bill is $636 billion with 1,800 pork barrel projects.
7. Obama’s 2010 spending budget is a record $3.6 trillion.
8. Obama’s 2011 spending budget is a record $3.8 trillion.
9. Obama wants to freeze some 2011 spending for discretionary programs. This is around $13 billion. Not much of a spending freeze, just smoke and mirrors to hide spending increases and to confuse people. Obama is very good at that.
10. The national debt is $12.3 trillion. Can our children and grandchildren repay it?
11. Congress voted, December 24, 2009 to raise the debt ceiling to $12.4 trillion.
12. Congress voted, January 28, 2010 to raise the debt ceiling $1.9 trillion to $14.3 trillion.
13. Obama’s administration is made up of 1960s leftist radicals, big government socialists, Chicago thugs, union bosses, liars, and incompetent boobs.
