I’m a retired computer programmer who worked 29 years for a Federal agency. Fact: I did three days work for five days pay as did my co-workers. Most of the projects I worked on were trumped money spending skeems to use up the budget so the department would continue receiving funds. I received a 3 to 5 percent pay raise every year. I retired at age 50. My retirement benefit is worth about 2.5 million dollars.

I work with Federal Govt employees (Border and Customs) at the airport. They are all union. Anyone who has flown Internationally and come back to our country has got to have seen this show at work. In NYC, it takes forever to get thru. Chicago and Los Angeles are just as bad if not worse. And Atlanta is unreal. I’ve done all these cities and have missed countless flight not because of the airlines and my flight schedules but because of the incompetence and lack of motivation as well as many other slacker terms. Yet, these guys rack up so much overtime that at the end of the year, they will have made as much in overtime as they do their salary. We’re talking $100,000 easily for many of these people. I know their job. I am around it daily. It is not rocket science by any means.
