I’m pretty sure most things talked about in the news are tragedies that “play out on this site…” in someone’s life… earthquakes, tsunamis, shootings, robberies, health care issues, etc. That is what we do, not as a nation, or culture, but as a species. Then we decide, as a people, if the incident was isolated, (and therefore we sympathize with a person’s loss,) or if the problem is symptomatic of a larger issue. In which case, to NOT address the issue would border on being criminal; it would be absolutely heartless.

What “if” may be saying is… if Obama care passes and the government takes over more of healthcare, we may get more and more people entering the health care industry that do not have the people’s best health in mind; this being the case, do we want them attending the e-z bake incubators?

I do agree with Dennis that is is the fault of the previous administration.

Horrifying but not unusual in the medical world for a lethal error to occur. Medical care is a risky business. Being your own or your child’s personal advocate lessens errors.
There is NO QUESTION that errors will increase in a nationalized system due to leaner requirements on effort and the IQ for the jobs. I have had my fill of civil service “nurses” who are the laziest group of care providers in the US. You literally would have to kill more than one child to be fired and that would still get you an ACLU lawyer.
