This entire piece is based on just two words: “Implied,” and “suggested.” Based on MSNBC’s record, I’m not ABOUT to trust their interpretation of Liz Cheney’s actual words.

This is television, folks! Why not SHOW Cheney saying these things, and let the viewers decide what she was implying or suggesting, Hmmmmm?

What does it “suggest” about MSNBC’s confidence in their position that they don’t SHOW the best evidence — if it’s so damning? Why look like they’re hiding something?

Conservatives have a tendency to eat their own. They can’t help it because they are reasonable people. What’s maddening is that they tend to go way overboard in some demented expectation that liberals will somehow respect them for criticizing another conservative. Or they don’t want to be seen as doing what liberals do by “blindly” supporting a conservative no matter what they say. They actually get embarrassed when a conservative says or does something that a liberal hates. Or that they would hate if they were a liberal.

They empathize with liberals, so attack conservatives to seem fair. That’s why so many conservatives diminish people like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin. And Andrew Breitbart.

What conservative bashing conservatives don’t take into account is the fact that liberals are hateful, spiteful, despicable people who are always going to consider them Evil with a capital E no matter what they say and do, and the only thing they accomplish by denigrating another conservative is to give Liberals proof of how Evil all conservatives are.

The issue here is whether terrorism is a criminal act or an act of war…whether terrorists are entitled to all the legal protections of our criminal justice system or not. O and his minions, like the Clintons before him, believe that terrorism is merely criminal, not much more serious than oh, say, robbing a bank. The lawyers that Holder has hired clearly also believe this, since they have volunteered to be defense attorneys in these prosecutions. If we are going to prosecute these scumbags as “criminals,” then, obviously, someone has to defend them, that’s the way it works.

The “Keep America Safe” part of the equation deals with the form that our rights and protections take, which includes “discovery” that may require sensitive information being provided to people who are trying to kill us all, and with providing a forum for them to hurt America with invective and lies as they mount their “defense.”

Trust me, they will never be impressed with our open-mindedness and the perceived “consistency” of our “rule of law.” Winning the “hearts and minds” of heartless, mindless barbarians is impossible by definition. Completely fruitless stupidity will not contribute to our safety.

I dont know about conservatives! But this libertarian can live without the Carpetbagging Cheney Family.
