It is so sad that instead of discussing the Governor’s lack of morals, ethnics, ability to keep his marital COVENANT…there are people who concentrate on whether or not the wife is a “babe”. For goodness sake, She was the mother of his children. She did the best she could to maintain and enhance her looks. But most of all, she was the covenant partner with a man who was unable or unwilling to look to HER for the characteristics he found so alluring in his “soul mate”. Now we see that he has been searching for some time but was unwilling to lay down the entrapments of his position. He wanted it all. He is an ignorant little boy who was clothed with the appearance of a grown man but lacking the inner fortitude to restrain himself. And his likening himself to King David is pitiful!

As a conservative, I previously was angry for what he did, thought he should resign, and was happy the emails came out to shock him into reality re what he did. Now, today, after reading his newest qualifications/excuses regarding the love-factor, I conclude, he is one major scum-bag. If it wasn’t “her”, it would have easily been another woman. he has been cruising…and btw, if he marries her, won’t be long before he’s crusing again. Resign, you aren’t mentally able to be governor!!

Before anyone disses the Mrs.’s looks, take a look at Sanford. No woman who go for him if it wasn’t for his position and his $$. Henry Kissinger said it best, “Power is the greatest aphrodisiac.” Resign, governor, and move to Argentine and tango into the sunset.

It might be too late for her to file for divorce, get everything, and put HIM on an allowance for all the psychiatric treatment he, quite seriously, is in need of. However, he is NOT a victim and if she was, it is, by now, voluntary. I hope the people of SC send them packing.

Jenny Sanford is still extremely attractive—-especially for someone who is and has been under severe distress. Even so, it is criminal to blame the husband’s adultery on anyone other than himself.
As a Republican and a conservative, I think the man should quit public life all together and spend the next decade of his miserable life trying to make it up to his wife and children…..even if he has to do it completely alone.
This life is but a vapor and he will have to answer, like all of us, for his decisions here on earth. He will carry this stuff into eternity.

It may enlighten some to hear her say that he can not have access to his own children if he does not choose her. This is emotional and immature blackmail. It helps me understand why he might want to leave this woman!

Easy to see why the boy needed a little rest and relaxation way down under the Southern Cross! Iffin’ I was him, I’d just chuck all this ole governor malarky up here, get rid of that shrew of a wife of his, and set up houskeepin’ with that pretty little filly down on the pampas, a bit southwest of Uruguay. Start raisin’ Dogo Argentinos, export em back up to Texas and the Carolinas to do some serious pack dog hog huntin’, and just generally enjoy life.

Willard Harley’s book, “His Needs, Her Needs” makes perfect sense of marital unfaithfulness, and it’s not hard to see why Gov. Sanford cheated. His wife is condescending and dictatorial. Harley states in his book that a husband needs his wife to admire him. Now I’m not saying that the Gov. fulfilled all of his wife’s needs, but when a man strays, I’ve noticed that the Admiration Need is typically the culprit.

I agree with Judith. How dare this women not allow these children’s father to have access to them? What’s her marriage got to do with him being a father! We all make mistakes, we all fall in and out of love, we sometimes leave our husbands/wives but we don’t deserve to be punished by not being able to see our OWN children!

She’s looks physically fit and trim and looks pretty darn good for her age! To give this guy a pass because his wife isn’t a teenager anymore is pathetic!
