Just one more radical whack job associated with Obama and who is out to change our beloved country for the worse. Yes we live in the greatest country on earth…let’s ruin it eh Mr. President? http://www.thefedupamerican.com

Open and transparent change… just what we were hoping for? The boypresident has no class. He is a Chicago bully. He doesn’t give a hoot about qualifications… and he would know about being underqualified by now. But the in-your-face arrogance is going to come back and kick him so hard he won’t be able to sit down… at least not in the Oval Office.

I saw this about this idiot last night.
Doesn’t seem this religious bigot has the PC grasp of “Diversity” at all?
Anything The Pope says that Smedrick-here opposes is referenced by Him in The Bible. Go beat-up on that book, jagoff.

He needs to get re-educated in one of those Maobummercorn “Camp Fema” detention camps, and quick.

Look at the opposition to the Mother Teresa Stamp, the secular progressives are hi-jacking our country’s foundation. The president is part of a movement. The day is coming when the Gov’t will outlaw the crosses on the soldiers graves at Arlington National Cemetary and the like.

The Catholic Church is responsible for historically initiating care for the sick, the poor, the education of the common man and the education of women. The first group to do any of these things was the Catholic Church. While it has its warts it does more today for the disadvantaged than any other institution in the world. Pope Benedict has shown himself to be gracious, kind, and a REAL intellectual (one of the few on the world stage at this time). Mr. Obama has shown a lack of prudence here and so has Mr. Knox for making such an idiotic statement.

Yet another anti-Catholic, anti-Christian zealot picked by Obama the Baboozler, to aid and abet the WH as an advisor. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with the man child president with his and his choices of zealots surrounding him?

The Know Nothings are alive and well and speaking from Washington.Maybe the government should re-institute the 19th and early 20th century laws against Catholics. That’ll show ‘em.

Why is it always the Catholics you Socialist fear, is it that they believe in God and not your Messiah Barry, I would hope by now you would have figured out that his Hope and Change is no more than a commercial stunt. See Barry has taken you on a trip down a dead end road that is sure to destroy the life you have come accustomed to. See taking other people’s money to support a free lifestyle of Well-Fare checks, food stamps and Socialized health care is all fine and dandy until you run out of other people’s money. Then what do you have left, hopefully you will wake up and finally see that like our fore fathers it all starts with God.

AND JP II TELLS YOU IT IS TRUE!

Introduction from John Paul II

The Catechism of the Catholic Church, which I approved June 25th last and the publication of which I today order by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, is a statement of the Church’s faith and catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition, and the Church’s Magisterium. I declare it to be a sure norm for teaching the faith and thus a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesial communion. …

This is hate speech, let’s call it out for what it is.

Substitute the word Black, Muslim, Jew, gay or female in this narrative and that’s what they’d say.

Abolutely outrageous. If this gay guy appointed by Obama hates Catholics and religion, and already an advocate of HRC, why doesn’t he get a job
somewhere else?

This just exposes Obama as an atheist and religious bigot. They both need to go.

This man is just not too bright. When you work for the president and you have a controversial opinion you should find a way to walk around the subject, like his boss does.

In addition, he is wrong in his assumption because a Federally Funded Research project was just completed that proved that abstinence, not contraception, decreases the rate of pregnancies. I know plenty of people that though sex was a way of showing love. No one, including parents, ever told them they did have to have sex and that they should abstain until marriage.

Let me see if I understand this. The presidents appointee to the Advisoty Council of FAITH based Neighborhood Partnerships is a man who says the POPE is hurting people in the name of Jesus, and the the scientific who’s research shows the use of condoms to fight the spread aids in Africa has not helped does not know what is the real science. For a moment I thought the appointee was a anti catholic homosexual who thinks the scientific study over the spread of aids is a completed science so there is no need for differing opinions. Mr President do you know how many Catholics in Massachusett voted against your democrat in january. If you weren’t so stupid and you and your advisors knew anything about anything you would remove this jerk tomorrow. But you don’t know so you don’t. Tovia Yona   February 6th, 2010 - 12:11 pm

I’m a conservative and frankly I agree (on this one point). In biblical times, they certainly used methods of avoiding pregnancy, which was never mentioned as something that would be breaking any commandment. This anti-contraception doctrine isn’t biblical, it’s man made. In fact there are many doctrines held by Catholics aren’t biblical, yet they claim to speak for G-d Himself. HOWEVER, I believe that anyone should be allowed to say what they believe while others should be just as free to agree or disagree.

America…this is just another effort by Bilderberg Bush-Obama to destroy America from within! Destroying our foundations of faith in our Christian nation by appointing a man to this position who is an enemy of Christian America!

Call/email your State reps and tell them what you think! If you think he should be fired, let them know so!

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   February 6th, 2010 - 1:48 pm

And one more thing…to all of those who want to chastise the Catholic church.

First of all, I am not a Catholic so my defense of them is not biased!

Every “religion” has their pros and cons!

Christ knew that and when asked one time by the first group of believers who were concerned about some abusing HIS teachings on what they should do…HE said that the leaders should speak to them openly about what they were doing to correct it!

HE admonished the leaders to make sure the believers were adhering to the truths! HE expressed that to first confront them to throw them out of the church would also destroy the faith of true believers!

Think back to all the stories you heard about the Bishops who knew Priests who were abusing children and let them remain and/or just moved them to another parish!

Think back to all those Pastors who have been exposed by their sexual deeds. There was someone in their group who knew what was going on. They should have been reported to those in authority and those in authority should have called them aside to stop it and removed their authority at the same time! It would have chastised them, corrected them, removed their authority and still given them the opportunity for redemption which is what a believing church should be about!

That would have saved the beliefs of many…if the right procedures were followed before it was exposed…and they were thrown out of their positions which damaged many, many believers due to their sin and the coverup of their sin!

Christ described them as “tares” (those who were misleading some in the faith) and the “wheat” (those who were growing and the good seed of the faith)

Look back at the PTL situation, Jimmy Swaggart, priest molestations, etc. When it was revealed what these men had done…it caused many who believed…to fall away from their faith!

There will always, always be “wolves in sheeps clothing” within any “religion”!

Every “religion” has true believers and also those who seek to mislead the true intent of their teachings!

There are good evangelicals, good Catholics, good Baptists, etc.

And, yes America, I believe there are also good well intentioned Muslims!

That is why, within any religion, the leaders should seek to lead by example!

And the rest of us believers of the faith…need to know what we believe and why and to always be ready to give an account of what we believe in an instant not what our specific church believes!

We are the only ones responsible for our faith and what we believe…then and only then are we sure that we are believing the right thing! Because no man…tare or wheat…tells us…because we have learned by following the word and experienced the truths of the word ourselves through time!

There is no man and/or woman in this world…that impresses me! There is no man/woman in this world that is my savior…the end all to all things!

If one comes and says he/she is, you can know they are not…because you have read and you have experienced the truth and will not be fooled!

Many, unfortunately, were fooled in the election of 2008! Now they want to do the same for Scott Brown!

No man/woman…America…is the answer to our spiritual, mental, and/or physical needs ever! They are only mortal and subject to the same as we are…the sins of the world!

The redemption of our very being lies in our experience with a greater being than any man/woman and it can only be revealed when we ask that it be revealed to us!

This entire debate is stupid. ALL religious leaders are full of sh*t. The Pope is infallible? REALLY? Do you think he’s EVER made a spelling mistake? His stance on protecting Priests that rape and ruin lives of children is certainly a fair stance don’t you think? I’m NOT defending what this imbecile said. What I AM saying is that this Catholic outrage is comical and hypocritical. The Catholic Church stood by and allowed Hitler to kill millions of Jews and to this day won’t acknowledge that they were complicit and apologize for it. Some Priests were brave and some lost their lives protecting Jews and they are the real saints of the Catholic religion.

Tucker Carlson is also a horse’s a$$ and is religious bating. All religion has ever done is pit one person against the other.

Here’s some advice for the two a-holes that were screamsing at Carlson… Matthew 5:39 (KJV), “But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other.

How about this one…

Luke 6:35: (NIV) But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Maybe if these idiotic hypocrites actually lived what they proclaim they believe so strongly maybe the world wouldn’t be such a horrible place.

DrEdu   February 6th, 2010 - 2:24 pm

To the person under the name “men become God”

ACTS 9:1-4. 1Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

Question: Who was Paul persecuting? The Christians, or Our Lord Jesus Christ, True God and True Man?

You see, Christ answered Paul. Christ said YOU Paul are persecuting ME. Christ did not differentiate between Him (God) and the Christians. The Cathechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) is not saying anything new or different that what Christ said to Paul.

Now, if you wish to quote the CCC quote it right and completely:

“460: The Word became flesh to make us “partakers of the divine nature”:78 “For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God.”79 “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.”80 “The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods.”81”

One last Question for you: The Catholic Church was founded by Christ, Who was your Founder?

JB   February 6th, 2010 - 2:43 pm

I’m with the Catholics on this one as a Latter-day Saint.
I do have a question for DrEdu. Where did Christ say that his church was named Catholic and where did he write or say the head of his church on earth would be named Pope? I never had any Catholics be able to answer this when I knocked on their doors many moons ago. Curious.

The Catholic leadership hierarchy, including the last two popes, was selected according to their willingness to aid and abet child molesters. What the Protestants do has nothing to do with what the Catholics do. (Am I communicating with a four-year-old?)

BTW: Isn’t it interesting how nobody taking part in this conversation has pointed out the fact that Harry Knox’s comments are 100% correct? So correct that there is no debate? Sweet.

DrEdu   February 6th, 2010 - 6:16 pm

My answers to JB
A) Jesus did not gave the name ‘Christian’ to his Church, neither than He named the Church he founded with the term “Catholic’.

Catholic (katholike) means Universal.
This term means that His Church is a Church which both ‘extends throughout the whole World, and from its beginnings through eternity’: hence Universal in time and space.
The geographical Catholicity of the Church is a reflection of Christian obedience to out Lord and Savior, who commanded us to bring the Good News to the entire World. For instance:
–Matthew 28:19 So Jesus came to them and said, “All authority (power) in heaven and on earth is given to me. So go and make followers of all people in the world.
–Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

As in everything, the concept [of ‘Catholicity’] preceded the use of a term [Catholic].

The term Catholic was introduced by the first Christians: “The combination ‘the Catholic Church’ (he katholike ekklesia) is found for the first time in the letter of St. Ignatius to the Smyrnaeans, written about the year 110. The words run: “Wheresoever the Bishop shall appear, there let the people be, even as where Jesus may be, there is the Universal [katholike] Church.”

It important to point out that this Ignatius was appointed Bishop to the See of Antioch by the same (Saint) Peter, of whom Jesus said “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.“ Matthew 16:18

B) The term Pope. The title pope stems from the Greek word papas, which simply means ‘father.’ Early in Christian history it was used as a formal title expressing affectionate respect for any bishop and sometimes even priests. This fits, because Christians are a Family. It is a term of endearment.

JB…I am sorry you never met a Catholic that could have provided you with these answers. Despite having been born to Catholic parents, I wandered away…and only CONVERTED (by the Grace of God) because I challenged authority…I decided to read…to go to the sources.

To Billy: Dude, you seem to carry unresolved emotional issues! Remember that God Loves You!

TomB   February 6th, 2010 - 7:02 pm

Catholics overwhelmingly voted for OBAMA in 08

54 to 47 percent is “overwhelmingly???

You anti-Catholic bigots really need to stop the spittle-flecked histrionics if you want to be taken seriously. We Catholics pull enough boneheaded moves on our own without you having to embellish them.

And I say that as a Catholic and a (non-contributing) alumni of Notre Dame.

These are not emotional issues; they’re matters of fact. They just seem like emotional issues to you because you were raised in an authoritarian household and are thus unable to independently understand the difference between right and wrong, truth and fiction. (You’ve been trained to respond emotionally without regard to the intelligent thought — the quality with which we are all born but which was stolen from you at a very young age).

JB   February 6th, 2010 - 9:46 pm

I went to their website americanprayerhour.org and saw the list of those attending the press conference. Each was identified with the exception of “A gay Ugandan man seeking asylum in The United States”. I guess this is the bag man. Either that or it was a 1980 Saints fan.

Where the hell is this country heading?

saintpeeter   February 6th, 2010 - 10:07 pm

It is true that the Catholic Church has done more to feed, clothe and educate the poor all over the world than anyone else. Human secularists from what I see only think about their own gratification.

The Church cares for all people but it wants to care for the spiritual side of people too. For gay activists and other anti-church secularists are just using the issue of Aids for their own personal issues. It’s all about the orgasm and they don’t care about the human spirit. Shame on them.

Rather, the church cares for Aids sufferers and encourages a moral existence.

DrEdu   February 6th, 2010 - 10:22 pm

I do not think Gay people hate the Catholic Church. Neither that I think the Catholic Church hates Gay people. So, leave the Gays out of this.

This Obama appointee-bigot is a bigot not because he is Gay, but because he is full of ignorance and hate.

As to the use of Condoms, let’s face it: with awareness of HIV transmission, abstinence, and regaining control over one’s sexual appetites, does more and potentially saves more lives that a preservative, which tend to encourage the frequency of sexual intercourse while at the same time (statistically) fails in about 2 to 3%.
In fact, quote “International research indicates that male condom breakage ranges from zero to 12 percent, with both breakage and slippage occurring around 2 percent of the time. The percent of condoms that slip off the penis during or after intercourse is similar’ [Family Health International]

Now that 2% percent may be small, until you are impacted by it: then that 2% failure becomes your (and your parthner’s) 100% reality.

Nothing kills with more cruelty than FALSE SECURITY

Jack Moorison   February 6th, 2010 - 11:07 pm

You voted for change and you won. You got a man for President that appoints a person that hates the Pope and Catholic religion.

Thats a change that America needs to wake up to next election cycle.

Why was this man chosen when there are so many qualified people out of work? Did Barrac Obama choose him because he likes men and hates women, or is it simply because he hates the Pope and Catholics almost as much as Reverened Wright? Is this the diversity you celebrate? America is now realizing what democrats are all about.

infoforimbeciles   February 6th, 2010 - 11:29 pm

The level of ignorance and lies about the Catholic Church is absolutely amazing. At a time when the republic has never been in more peril we have imbeciles arguing how their lack of a church makes them somehow better than Christians of the Catholic tradition that traces directly back to Jesus Christ. This is not a time for distraction. We have a communist administration, flourishing under one party rule. The economy is in shambles because our neo-coms want it that way. Instead of wasting time hating our fellow Christians and Jews, wise up and realize that we may not have elections next fall. B.O.’s marxist perspective allows him to lie, cheat, steal, maim and kill to abort the next election cycle. Y’all think about that for a while instead of wasting time deciding whom to hate next. A final note, I know agnostics and atheists that are better Christians than SUVREC and others posting.

kmichaels   February 7th, 2010 - 12:21 am

For some interesting history, the KKK was primarily white protestant democrats.
While the KKK was expanding their influence more and more Catholic immigrants were
moving into the country. In order to minimize the political power of the Catholic pulpit
the KKK started having it’s members take a “Separation of Church and State” clause.
One of the KKK members having this idea so heavily forced upon him later became a
US supreme court judge. This judge imposed the false idea of Separation of Church and
State upon the entire USA. This is where we are today, because of the KKK protestant democrats
hating the immigrating Catholics. Now you know the rest of the story.

kmichaels   February 7th, 2010 - 12:22 am

For that imbecile john, your history and your statistics are pretty damn screwed up. Are you a doper?

As a former Catholic (baptized when I was two), and 12 years of Catholic School, I know that the Pope is doing the right thing by using his bully pulpit to proclaim the sanctity of life loud and clear and always.

However, as an adult, I would never join this church. I knew some leaders who were very bad people and who hid behind their cassocks and they were never kicked out.

gene   February 7th, 2010 - 12:48 am

i don’t know what “smedrick” said about the pope, BUT the catholic church’s teachings arealmost entirely in contradiction to the Bible.
now who should you believe? the pope of rome, many of whom were scoundrels of the worst sort or the bible that God says is His Word?
check it out. the Bible has never changed, but roman cath teaching has,

hey sports – 1.6 billion Catholics love you all – bigots and all – we care about Barry GloBama and his marxist mission to destroy the USA and impose dime store abortion on every street corner .

the Catholic bashers are either Huff Post paid trolls or LaRouche geeks in their Mommies basement.

Re: Take Your   February 7th, 2010 - 1:54 pm

Just amazing how Republicans and other bigots project their hatred on others. The Vatican HATES gay people. They oppress gay people. They want gay people to have miserable lives. They’ve said so.

Republicans call Obama a Marxist, a Socialist, etc. because Republicans HATE black people. Any black person who attempts not to hate other human beings is a Commie in the eyes of Republicans.

BTW: Just because you say you love people does not mean you love people. You have been brainwashed into believing so.

Religion is the art of stealing people’s intelligence. Literally.

Your Hitler comparisons don’t make sense as, you see, Hitler hated gay people just like you and the Pope do.

DrEdu   February 13th, 2010 - 10:01 am

While the Catholic Church considers homosexual acts a ‘grave disorder’, the Church has also spoken against discrimination towards homosexuals.

Bigots are people who act in ignorance and hate. So when you write in hate for the Catholic Church and in ignorance about its documents and teaching, then you are earning the term BIGOT for yourself, all by yourself.

FROM THE CATHECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH:

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. THEY MUST BE ACCEPTED WITH RESPECT, COMPASSION, AND SENSITIVITY. EVERY SIGN OF UNJUST DISCRIMINATION IN THEIR REGARD SHOULD BE AVOIDED. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

Gandhi's Fist   February 14th, 2010 - 7:51 pm

@kmichaels

Great posts! The anti-Catholic, Christian bashing crowd are in full force here at BB. To leftist trolls the truth never gets in the way. Republicans are bigots, though it is their party which was responsible for emancipation and the democrats who fought it. They’ve even got a former clansman in office now! The mind boggles to imagine if Byrd was a republican, the left-wing media’s collective head would explode.

Then there are those who go after the Catholic abuse charges, but don’t look deep enough. Many organizations, dealing with children have been infiltrated by NAMBLA and it’s ilk. They know where the kids are and want to get at them. If, instead of calling it Catholic abuse, they called it gay abuse in the church, then we’d really get a sense of what is going on. The same could be said of public schools. When Jeffery Dahmer was caught, the left wing media quickly identified him as a serial killer, but should have called him a gay killer.

They are organized and exploiting every organization that has contact with children that they can. Bringing down the church, or education or the boy scouts is just icing on the cake.

Not only have the dems been anti-minority, they still are. Moving their marks from the plantation to the projects. Via a welfare state and entitlement mentality, they still don’t know their families lines. Fathers don’t support or know their children. How is this different than the worst of America’s slavery history? Thank you democrats.

Did anybody but me notice the guys on the panel had on Clerical Collars and pastel Clerical Shirts and one of them actually sat there with a PAPER BAG OVER HIS HEAD?
What’s going on? Is everybody crazy? We’ve let these liberals convince us they are reasonable and WE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE BIGOTS AND HOMOPHOBES…ETC. How did they so blind us that we ignore the obvious and try to look at things from their point of view. Same thing with the terrorists “maybe if we’d do something different they wouldn’t try to blow us up”! It’s all an excuse for them do just what they want no matter how insane and evil it is, without any responsibility to anyone. They have nothing to base their ideas on but how they feel. Not science, laws of nature, history …the “forget the facts my mind’s made up”, attitude. I would like to think like a liberal for a day or two, (I’ve tried)just so that I can relax and not worry about the Road to Destruction we’re headed down. But it’s rediculous, just like the guy sitting there at a press conference with a bag over his head. He got away with it though. No one said, ” you idiot!” And that’s the way they do it. They come up with such rediculous nonsense that we just accept it and don’t even point out the idiocy in their way of thinking. One reason is because there’s so much of it there is just not enough time. I think it would be a big relief to not have the responsibility to keep society from going over the cliff. Nevertheless, the lunatics have taken over the assylum and it’ll be this way until the next election. ‘Til then “Keep your powder dry.”
