Allegations of Nationwide Scheme by Banks, Mortgage Companies to Defraud Veterans

WAGA: The I-Team obtained thousands of pages of legal documents and personally examined more than a hundred closing statements belonging to veterans. According to federal loan records, there have been some 884,000 veteran home loans refinanced during the past eight years. The question raised in a racketeering and class action law suit is how many of those loans involved banks defrauding U.S. military veterans.

What can anyone expect from a Government agency. Big brother cares, ask Aunt Pelosi.

Roger   November 9th, 2009 - 10:48 pm

Yep, Rep. Bob Filner(D-CA 51st district) is a friend of the veterans, just like Barney Frank… They care.. “My Arse” I say…..

Roger   November 9th, 2009 - 10:54 pm

This is a huge story. I hope someone follows this up to the neck of the snake.. I dont have the contacts sitting here in this desert. But this goes straight to the House Finance committee, I guarantee…

Roger   November 9th, 2009 - 10:57 pm

Why else would Barny Frank come out with his distraction campaign about being at his boyfriends house over 2 years ago… possibly to make the search engine see that instead of his fanny & freddie & vha scams?????

When you hear “banks” you may as well substitute in “Jews.”

Bring the troops home and turn them loose in Manhattan. Give them a deck of cards with the Bankers faces on them. Happy Hunting Folks!!!

WHAT ATTORNEY FEES? Why does a mortgage require an ATTORNEY? Isn’t it just a bunch of paperwork between a broker, a lender & a title company?

Kris   November 10th, 2009 - 4:42 am

Did they really think that no one would ever notice?

Terry – you are an idiot. Go rent a brain please.

Thank you for this story. My husband and I used my VA loan to finance our first house. I’ll be checking the paperwork…

Defrauding and denying veterans has become all too common. The very agency that is supposed to protect our veterans has their hadn in every deck. VA’ Improved Pension has been an entitlement for 58 years sitting idle. This is not disability compensation and is not dependent upon service related injuries. Improved Pension is a 3-tier benefit consisting of Basic, Housebound and Aid and Attendance. This little known rinancial resource can represent more than $23,000 tax-free money to help pay for care in the home, Assisted Living or Nursing Home. A total failure to honor those who now are need of assistance for day-to-day living. Millions of widows alone are missing out simply because they do not know they are entitled.
