I watched the aerial shot live this morning when the crowd walked down Penn Ave to the Capitol, It was amazing the masses. They also had street views, what a great crowd! American flags and red, white and blue all over.
This is what happens when the government takes the citizens for granted and assumes we will accept whatever the administration creates. The problem they are facing now is that we are becoming educated and we are closely watching the legislation being created. We read the legislation, we know who is being appointed to the powerful positions, we research all views.

A tired cliche I’ve read today is, “oh look, they’re all white”. Duh doofus we pay the taxes!
We Christians and Conservatives, likewise cannot continue to howl and fuss at Republicans who do not fight for the Founding Principles upon which our nation was founded. If MoveOn and the Daily Kos can do it, so can we. And we must. The attack plan below to restore Constitutional government, is just a start but should include:
1.Establish the groundwork for a boycott of the federal income tax. If you no longer feel the federal government is operating within the confines of the Constitution, you have a moral obligation to become a conscientious objector and simply say NO to the payment of taxes to Washington. Does the Constitution give the Feds the right to bail out labor unions and give non-citizens rights and benefits? If you feel that by doing so, our sovereignty, Constitution and Bill of Rights are null and void then so is any responsibility you may have had for taxes under the 16th Amendment. 2. Begin a vigorous campaign to urge the public to home-school and/or send their children to private schools, with or without vouchers. Then begin a major program to build a private, non-union school system. This is the only way we will crack the huge union dominated government school bureaucracy. 3. Begin to use the legal system to fight big government. If the ACLU can do it, why can’t we? We must begin to bring suit on every issue that threatens our nation’s original freedoms and traditions. 4. We begin a systematic march on the media, especially television. TV is the medium through which the liberal agenda is being implemented. The left learned long ago that a picture is worth a thousand words and the best example of this is the pictures of bodies of dead soldiers they broadcast every time we are in a war they do not approve of (usually when a Republican is leading it!). Holding pro-America, Republican rallies at local TV stations would be a great start – especially if the liberals re-implement the “Fairness” Doctrine. 5. Boycott employers who advertise on far left liberal media outlets like NBC. No patriotic American should buy a General Electric household product as long as Matthews, Olbermann and their ilk are permitted to spew their anti-Republican, anti-American hatred. 6. Expose the controlling roll that unions play in growing a totalitarian media/government complex. 7. Establish an underground network of physicians and health care providers that will fight to preserve private sector medicine. 8. Establish Committees of Correspondence and Safety to provide communications and security – just as our Founding Fathers did. 9. Join the NRA as we have just as much right to carry guns under the 2nd Amendment as the media does to carry cameras under the 1st Amendment. 10. Demand adherence to the 9th and 10th Amendments of the Constitution and promote and support state sovereignty efforts.
If they pass it we will not obey; if they tax it we will not pay.

If NBC/MSNBC call it “TENS OF THOUSANDS” then that is a VERY CONSERVATIVE estimate. The streets were PACKED!!

I just got through looking at the New York Times article about the protest.
There are eight photographs accompanying the article. The first one is of Obama, and the other seven photographs show between 1 and about 20 people each.
The headline says there are “thousands,” while in the seventh paragraph there is a vague reference to “well into tens of thousands.”
I love it! Carefully selected photographs making it look like there are perhaps dozens of protesters, the headline suggesting thousands, and deep in the article, text suggesting tens of thousands.
Come to think of it, I’m surprised the Times had an article at all.

But where were their voices when Bush was running up almost a trillion dollar deficit (from a trillion dollar surplus eight years previous), with “balloon payments” scheduled for after he left office? Where was their “smaller government” activism when the Bush Admin/Republican Congress more than doubled our federal budgets, and grossly increased deficit spending?
How is it that only NOW, a mere 8 months into Obama’s administration, they are laying all the blame for this at his feet? Where were they then, over four years ago, when the fiscal crises we face now were being created?
I’m all for them getting out and making their voices heard. Applause! But keep the focus on facts and reality. So much misguided energy….

As a black woman I am sickened by the Tea Party protesters being referred to as Klan members, Astroturf, red necks or hating a black president. I’m a Tea Party Protester and I do not hate black people, if I did I would have to hate my parents, grandparents, and siblings. Want to know what would REALLY be a shock?
IF either side realized that bank and auto would have been fine IF THEY UNDERSTOOD ONE THING – Middle Class is getting closer to poor every time minimum wage increases. Create BUSINESS REBATES (instead of citizen rebates) to encourage wage increases of at least a dollar an hour for FULL TIME employee’s.
That will do 3 things
… 1) put money in the hands of those who’s budget were stretched due to increased fuel cost – they would have been able to better afford to pay their credit cards and mortgages … and been able to buy more cars too!
… 2) it would put FAST money in business hands to offset the increased cost of doing business due to the higher fuel cost so less people would have been laid off.
… 3) it would have kept tax revenue increasing and flowing through sales and other tax type revenues so less cities and states would have needed to increase taxes to cripple people more.
… but hey that can’t be as good as tossing a few hundred bucks that will dissipate in a week at a massive problem that is continuing on well beyond the trickle of chump change.
… and all that insurance stupidity – no one has said squat about preexisting being a reason why people can NOT afford (or will not afford) insurance.
Blue Cross wanted me to pay well over a grand a month for what cost me less than $400.00 a month.
… also – what is needed is to take insurance out of the hands of the employer – they in many cases will shop for the cheapest junk on the market. It needs to be a group insurance for the country NOT a company – then I may be willing to afford it – it would be nice!

I was there. There were at least a MILLION people at this rally. They were not just at the capital steps but covering the city blocks around the place. Those that say there were only a few thousand were not there and are only saying what they want to believe or what they were told to by their bosses. The rally was not just about health care or spending, it was about how the government is heading towards total socialism and the loss of our rights as free citizens and legal immigrants. There was one group of people at one intersection on Pennsylvania Ave that was counting an average of 3,600 people per minute passing and they had been there for over an hour when I passed and asked one of them what they were doing. At that time I looked to the rear of the marchers and could not see it because of all the people behind me. People were still arriving as late as 2:00 pm. It is amazing so many showed and yet so many in this country had no knowledge of what was going on. I had residents of DC come up and ask me what was happing. How could they not know? I had people in my area back in Morehead City, NC that did not know about it till a few days before the march and I told them about it. This march had little or no coverage by the national media other then maybe Glenn Beck and yet so many showed up. I think the tax payers in this country have made themselves heard. ALL the politicians are out in 2010. Did we have any problems? Only that the city did not provide trash receptacles or port-o-johns for the march, but they did for the “National Black Family Reunion” gathering about a mile away. We carried our trash out with us and the Smithsonian mans / ladies facilities got a lot of use. We did have one of the locals walk by and swear at us, but we just smiled and said “Hello”.
As for those that say “where were these people while GWB was in office?” I will tell you that for me and others the anger was growing and pressure was being placed on congress and the White House. The pressure was about the politically correct social programs, failure to protect the borders and the governments refusal to take more aggressive action on the illegal aliens in this country and the people that were hiring them. This anger has been building for sometime and I think that when many of the “old hippies” look at what we are saying they will join us.
The New York Times are idiots. I was there and there were atleast 1.5 million there. They had to shut down the highway. Also, they made an announcement saying the New York Times is reporting 500 people showed up. The million + of us LAUGHED!!!!
