Wow, Matt (first post), it is almost like you are just spamming… or exactly like that.
Mr. Gore has lost a lot of weight which tells me that he is planning to run for election again at some point.
Also, his reply is utter crap delivered in a smarmy way. He runs companies that are benefiting from the green movement and then addresses/influences governments for support of his companies. That sounds exactly like a conflict of interest to me. Aren’t there laws against this?
I find this akin to GE owning NBC and then running green week (a few times a year) where they can tout the irresponsibility of all of us and then how awesome companies like GE are and how buying from them will save the earth… or something like that. Shouldn’t there be disclaimers and full disclosure? Oh, according to Al Gore it would be: “Putting their money where their mouth is”
Using Dem friends to finance his future finances is not exactly putting your money where your mouth is. It is buying influence for financial gain. That is not the issue. The issue is the policies ie cap and tax/trade, is a regressive tax. That is perfect democratic policy, because it pays off the special interest while growing the voting bloc. A regressive tax will shift the cost burden on to the poor and middle class which will result in a much faster absorption of the new technology and thus a much larger and faster return of equity.

4. While traveling by bus from Arkansas to D.C. with Bill Clinton for Bubba’s Inauguration, they stopped at Monticello. There were busts of Washington, Jefferson, and Madison. Gore asked the curator, “Who are those guys?”
5. Gore claimed that he and Tipper were the real life inspiration for the movie Love Story while at Harvard. The author of the book flatly rejected this outlandish claim.
6. Gore brazenly, and falsely claimed he invented the internet.
7. In the 2000 election, Gore filed suit to bar overseas ballots from the military, because some of the ballots were a day or two late due to the mails.
8. His wife Tipper, is actually a Holstein Cow..

I saw online where the IPCC scientists were caught red-handed making up the data. Stephen McIntyre caught Briffa and Mann, of the IPCC red-handed making the data up from their tree samples to “create” Gore’s Hockey Stick graph.
Also, a guy named Lindzen at MIT actually measured the Earth’s atmosphere instead of using the computer models based on the bad data.
He showed the Earth loses heat quite well, instead of trapping it.
Others have recently shown the Sun, and solar radiation fluctuations have more to do with Earth surface temperatures changes.
Gore is an idiot who flunked out of natural history classes in college.
Gore should accept the challenge to debate Lord Monckton or shut up!

Well one or both would challenge algore to a duel and I betcha’ algore would run like the coward he is……
You know I wouldn’t hold the global warming hype in such low regard if it didn’t seem to be geared toward hurting the average person, and making the elite few ridiculously wealthy. By eliminating clean coal technology, all petroleum recovery, and fining companies out of business with carbon emission fines it will allow “a few” and only a few people to profit from wind turbines, and solar panels.
Under this new cap and trade bill, all home owners will have to retro-fit their homes to meet energy efficiency standards set by the government before they can sell their homes. Imagine a lower to middle class family who has to move to get a new job, they put their home market- NOW they have to hire (at their own expense) an energy efficiency inspector to inspect their home and make all changes before they can put it on the market. The average cost could run from 20k to 30k.
Oh, but don’t worry. The government will allow you to take out a low interest loan in order to do this. Now, who do you think is going to be hurt by this? Not Al Gore. He modified his ginormous estate 5 yrs ago after it was published that his home had the carbon foot print of 30 average homes……
So, using the same “logic” that Gore used, ‘putting your money where your beliefs are’. I guess you could say that Cheney being a share holder of Halliburton Industries, and their receiving the building contracts post Iraq war was just Cheney applying what he believed in to the cause as well?
