Absentee Ballot Surge Raises Red Flags in New Jersey

John Fund: The state has received a flood of 180,000 absentee ballot requests. On some 3,000 forms the signature doesn't match the one on file with county clerks. Yet citing concerns that voters would be disenfranchised, Democratic Party lawyer Paul Josephson wrote New Jersey's secretary of state asking her "to instruct County Clerks not to deny applications on the basis of signature comparison alone." Mr. Josephson maintained that county clerks "may be overworked and are likely not trained in handwriting analysis" and insisted that voters with suspect applications should be allowed to cast provisional ballots. Those ballots, of course, would then provide a pool of votes that would be subject to litigation in any recount, with the occupant of New Jersey's highest office determined by Florida 2000-style scrutiny of ballot applications.

This strategy worked for Al Franken, didn’t it? For the life of me, I don’t see why there weren’t riots in Minneapolis.
Can’t you imagine if some ign0r@nt democrat stole your vote?

Democheats and demoacorn up to their old tricks. I hope they lose despite their attempts to cheat.

Mark   November 3rd, 2009 - 2:59 pm

Oh,Oh Their at it again. Gee, who would have seen this one coming…huh?

Hey, why don’t you freedom minded people in New Jersey have this man arrested. He is obviously complicant to voting fraud. You don’t have to be a great legal mind to figure that out! I thought people in Jersey had some b*lls. Oh, I get it! If it was bad umpiring or officiating of a game you would want to fire him, jail him and burn his house down. But since it is just “politics” it’s O.K. Come on New Jersey make us all proud.

ERS   November 3rd, 2009 - 3:01 pm

The Dems have learned how to steal the elections without going to the polls. We will never have a fair election again until the public is required to prove they are a living, breathing resident of that state and district. The Republicans are going to have to use their techniques to win elections….this is apparently what our free country is coming to. Al Franken showed us how to do this and the courts allowed it. Join them and beat them with their rules or loose.

Gandhi's Fist   November 3rd, 2009 - 3:03 pm

Stealing votes in close elections is a democrat specialty. Millions have been disenfranchised by this vile democrat practice. Another reason to send them packing. What more could be expect from a bunch of statist, totalitarian, doctrinaire socialists like the dems.

Could you expect anything other then the worst with ACORN involved?? This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody, and the fact that the Attorney General of Jersey is not cracking down on ACORN and the Dems is very discouraging.

Report came out this morning that ACORN was moving people into the area in address only and calling for absentee ballots for these people. The Democrats are also asking the Secretary of State to allow the absentee ballots where the signatures do not match up with those on file. Ethics, Corruption, and what a shocker.

How many times are we going to let democrats cheat their way into office? If cheating is what it takes, I say Republicans need to do the same things, but do it better and bigger.
Make the Republican machine so big and so ominous that the Acorn thugs will look like school kids. The dems have set precedents in court about why the likes of Franken and Obama could have suspicious ballots accepted as legit. We need to use those precedents against them.
Dems want a fight…they’re going to get one. They obviously aren’t aware of the anger among the voters. Most of us don’t want our votes stolen from us.

The dim-witted Republicans never get out ahead of the fraud. They don’t investigate, they don’t nip these activities in the bud by going to court the minute there’s one single irregular ballot or registration. They wait until after the election to sue and we’ve seen how that works out for them.

Morons.

This is what the previous “stolen” elections were all about. The ones democrats lost. Notice how liberals are the ones to point out another’s fault at the same time it’s actually they themselves who are guilty of the crime. Then when caught they’ll try to fall back on well the republicans always do it….even though there was never anything proven. Symbolism over substance….like putting idealism ahead of common sense or rational judgement.

freedom rocks   November 3rd, 2009 - 6:12 pm

Democrats have spent years, relaxing voting rules and we all stood by and let it happen. I believe the number of states that don’t require a photo ID to vote now stands at 26. If we are to take back our country we must address this issue. I do agree there are certain tactics that are being used against us that we probably should adopt, cheating at the ballot box is not among them, although I sympathize with the frustration. Free and fair elections are essential to the survival of the republic. The rules have been relaxed in the name of making it easier for people to register and vote, when in reality it appears the real motivation was making it easier to cheat.

Mike   November 3rd, 2009 - 6:22 pm

The Democrats have cornered the market on voter fraud alright. When they can’t win on their own merits (legally by popular vote) they resort to absentee ballot fraud and other highly questionable or illegal methods to do it. Another case in point of their dirty politics is a confessed acknowledgment by Democrats in the state of New Jersey of doing robo-calling to residents there urging them to vote for the 3rd party candidate Chris Daggett. What they were hoping to do by urging voters to vote for Daggett was taking votes “away” from Chris Christie and thereby edge Jon Corzine over the top in the election. How “low” can the Democrats go?? To them it is NOT about honesty and integrity or playing by the rules it seems. It is instead about DOING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO WIN!!! And fair play, and playing by the rules, be DAMNED! – according to the Democrats apparently. Same with Obama in my opinion too. He said and did anything and everything he needed to just to garner the necessary votes to win in Nov. ‘08. Whether that was lying through his teeth or throwing anybody he had to under the bus along the way.

Nope! It doesn’t surprise me one bit that we’re seeing this troubling and fraudulent behavior by the Democratzie. It appears to be burned into their subconscious’s to act the way they do and it is simply part and parcel of who they really are apparently i.e. -> crooks, that is..

Pretty much the same here… Three people were running for the School board so the #1 concern was not to go ‘Kansas’ and elect a failure idiot creationist!! But they were all very cool about that here…

#1 refused to answer a lot of questions so I wrote him off as an a*hole… ;)

#3 just had his fist kid and was a young guy that managed to register for the vote. Great effort, but but way too newbie…

#2 had kids in real school and pretty well knew all the stuff… She got my vote!

Since Jon Corzine lost last night, I think that he has to go back to Goldman Sachs?
Before Corzine became governor of New Jersey, he worked at Goldman Sachs, and during
the Clinton years, Clinton hired Corzine to be his Treasury Secretary, and George Bush
did the samething to when he was in power for eitght years, hired folks who worked
for Goldman Sachs to be the Treasury Secretary. And where the heck is Henry “Hank”
Paulson? Why hasn’t this guy been investigated by the FBI for what bankrupting the
treasury and busting out the economy around this time last year? And as I’ve said
a week ago, it seems like Goldman Sachs is running this country, and don’t forget,
Goldman Sachs also put Obama into office a year from today, and that’s why Obama
invited the bankers into the White House since January, along with Al Sharpton, Jesse
Hi-Jackson, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Black Panther Party leader (whatever the hell
his name is), etc.

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder!!!

Ah, vote early and often. When overcoming minority objections are a floating standard. It’s racist by requiring people to provide a photo ID because as we all know, people are too stupid to get a picture taken. First, they can’t because of the cost, but the states say they will cover the cost if they can’t afford it. Oops, next excuse. We can’t get there because we don’t have transportation. You managed to vote multiple times, right?. Oops. Uh, did I say you were racist yet?
