Heck, the government is a rich source of cuts to be made. Think of the $ trillions we could reallocate – if we just cut $ trillions of unnecessary spending. Starting with 10 percent of unnecessary Federal employees.

One question, why do we give aid to Haiti and Chile and all over the world but we refuse to take care of our own people? Why would he block a bill that would actually help those who lost their jobs because of Congresses stupidty? This recession is due to Congress not doing the job they were elected to do. There comes a time to make a stand, this is not that time. Those Americans do not have a (D) or (R) attached to them. They are in need! We should stop giving aid to all the other countries in the world, circle the wagons and help our own. We have $500,000,000,000 in unused stimulus money. Are you telling me that we can give money to banks but we cannot spare a dime for fellow citizens? I am a conservative, I cannot stand a liberal. They are vile political zombies. But there comes a time to put aside politics and help Americans. This is that time. Bunning can make a stand, say no to Health Care, Immigration, Cap and Tax… but this is one time that we need to put side politics and help one another. let us sustain one another until we can put them back to work. How can we say we stand on Family values, christian morals, fisscal responsibility, pro life but turn our back on one another? I cannot support this stand as it hurts millions of Americans. If we are going to spend money we don’t have, it should be on our own people and not haiti, chile, banks or insurance companies. It’s referred to as PAYGO (Pay-as-you-go), which Obama re-enacted into law in February 2010, after Congress paid lip service to it as a standing rule in the House and later in the Senate. (It was originally passed into law in 1990, but expired at the end of 2002.) Since it is now a law again, Senator Bunning is simply helping to enforce the law. You liberals know what laws are, right?

we have an opportunity to correct this injustice on March 7, 2010. That is day the Oscars will be held in Los Angeles but IT WILL BE the day that the GBLT community and all free-thinking people of progress will make their voices heard.

* Hold an empty picture frame in front of your face. This will symbolize what American TV programs and films fail to show.
* Do not watch the Oscars on your television. Watch progressive programming instead.
* Invite people to your home or speak with them in public about sexuality and Evolution.
Direct protest:
For those in the Los Angeles area you can certainly protest in the traditional manner at the location of the Oscars ceremony. We only ask that you be peaceful and non-confrontational.
We have gotten offers from people who work in the film industry to disrupt the ceremony itself during its live broadcast. While we do not call for such actions, we understand why they would be justified.
Message to the Academy:
If you wish to avoid the protest we ask the following: Rescind all nominations for Avatar. The film should not be awarded anything. We also ask that you give Brokeback Mountain the Oscar award for Best Film that it was denied a few years ago. Everyone knows that Brokeback Mountain is a better and more significant film than Crash.

I’ve spoken with Bunning on several occasions, and I know him to have a serious sense of fiscal responsibility, and a demonstrable voting record of it. He knew when he saw it that this so-called “stimulus” simply put off the fall that’s happening, and did a poor job of that. Unemployment funds are broke nationwide. In any case, Bunning is a side issue; today’s pop-culture mentality is the real problem. What happened to saving in case of hard times, to not buying beyond your means? I guess I would have to agree with ABC on this. Business as usual is not news. So, all they got now is attempting to create news by provoking a fight with a senator.
Hey try something that might actually improve your ratings. Try reporting the facts and not those liberal views created on a chalkboard by those hiding from the real world.
I remember visiting the Capitol as a visitor in the 1970’s and upon entering a room, was told by a very officious person that I was not allowed in the room because it was “reserved for staff” though there was nobody in it at the time. I felt ashamed. I thought the Capitol belonged to the people unless there were security reasons (and since nobody was in the room at the time….)
There was a time when being a Senator carried with it some dignity and decorum. There were rules of conduct and ethics and people could look up to them and tell their kids that with hard work, they might one day join the ranks of the Senate.
AAH! Who am I kidding? For the most part in my long lifespan, Washington politicians have been a sneaky, unethical, arrogant bunch of opportunists who looked down their noses at us regular folks. And now this guy flips the bird at a news team and says, this is a Senators Only elevator. Hey, Bunning, you’re not crippled, you can walk up and down the stairs like everyone else! That is the American People’s elevator, if you want to put a sharp enough point on the pencil! Republicans, Democrats, Independents, I’ve seen them come and go, and they’ve all had a hand in bringing down this nation. Johnson and Nixon lost the Vietnam War, Ford pardoned a President they should have put on trial, Carter was incompetent in his handling of Iran and it allowed them to create the current Middle East mess, Reagan gave illegals amnesty and was so focused on the Soviets he didn’t understand the rise of jihadism, Bush Senior marched into Iraq and marched out with the job half finished, Clinton was impeached for lying about a tawdry affair with a chubby intern and completely missed the danger of the jihadists, G W Bush attacked Afghanistan which made sense but then attacked Iraq which made no sense and now we’ve seen men and women die there for the better part of a decade with no end in sight, then ended his eight years by jacking up the national deficit with the TARP. And don’t even get me started on the Junior Senator from Illinois!
You can argue your partisan politics back and forth and blame Obama and blame Bush and blame racism and blame the TEA Party movement and blame MSNBC and blame conservative talk radio and blame blame blame… but you’ll get nowhere thinking that these dopes in Washington are going to do something that will make your life better. Just look at how they act, worse than kids. How fast would you be out the door at your job if you have the finger to everyone who gave you a problem? It’s ridiculous!
In November, go the the polls. Vote term limits on the whole rotten bunch of them. Had a Democrat in that office for your district for 50 years? Send him home! How about a Republican who is firmly entrenched in a lot of committees? Vote the bum out and get someone, anyone else to be a citizen legislator.
If we don’t do it, who will?
